European Alternatives to Mindbody
Looking for a European alternative to Mindbody? Outside the UK, Australia and New Zealand, Mindbody's terms name MINDBODY, Inc., a Delaware corporation, as the contracting party, and they are governed by New York law with arbitration in New York County. Its pricing page lists plans from €99 per month per location, with higher tiers by quote, and a fee of 20% (capped) on the first purchase of a new client that arrives through the Mindbody app.
The European tools below cover memberships, class booking, billing and member apps, and each contracts through a company registered in the EU, EEA or UK, with several publishing their prices.
How we rank these tools — 4-step process
-
1
European ownership, verified
The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA, the UK, Switzerland or Israel, and processes customer data in Europe or Israel. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.
-
2
Category fit and hands-on review
What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.
-
3
Compliance and pricing check
GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.
-
4
Position on this page
Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect which tools appear here and the order they appear in. It never buys a good review: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.
Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Vendors can pay for more visibility, higher up on the review pages; it never affects which tools are listed. Editorial policy

Key takeaways
- Outside the UK, Australia and New Zealand, Mindbody's terms name MINDBODY, Inc., a Delaware corporation, as the contracting party, under New York law.
- Disputes with Mindbody go to binding individual arbitration with New York County as the place of arbitration, after a written demand and a 60-day negotiation.
- Mindbody plans start at €99 per month per location, and a fee of 20% (capped at $30) applies to the first purchase of a new client who arrives through its app.
- After a termination notice, Mindbody keeps your data available for no more than 30 days through its standard web services.
- Magicline (Germany), PerfectGym (Poland) and Booking Board (Denmark) cover gym billing, while Eversports (Austria) and bsport (France) cover class-based studios.
Why people leave Mindbody
Mindbody is booking and business software for fitness and wellness businesses, run from San Luis Obispo, California. A single login covers the class schedule, memberships, payments, staff, reporting and a consumer app where members find studios. Its pricing page says the company has been at it for more than 20 years, and its customer list runs from yoga studios to spas to multi-location chains.
That breadth is the reason people stay, and also the reason some of them start looking elsewhere. A gym in Lyon or a yoga studio in Utrecht buys the same product as a spa in Texas, on a contract that, outside the UK, Australia and New Zealand, is concluded with MINDBODY, Inc., a Delaware corporation, under New York law. For a business whose members are all European, that is an odd place for the paperwork to sit.
The other pushes are commercial. The entry price starts at €99 a month per location, the better analytics and marketing sit in higher tiers sold by quote, and new clients who arrive through the Mindbody app can cost a fee. The European tools on this page cover the daily work of a gym or studio and keep the contract at home.
- The contract is American, whatever country your studio is in Mindbody's terms say that if you are domiciled in the United Kingdom, the contracting party is MINDBODY, Ltd. in England and Wales, and for Australia and New Zealand it is a local company. For the United States "and all other countries" it is MINDBODY, Inc., a Delaware corporation. That puts a studio in Germany, France or Spain on a Delaware contract, governed by the internal laws of New York.
- Disputes go to arbitration in New York County Section 15 of the terms requires binding individual arbitration and waives class actions. Before you can start, you must mail a written demand to the legal department in San Luis Obispo, then negotiate for 60 days. The place of arbitration is New York County. A studio owner in Europe who disagrees about an invoice faces a procedure that was designed for a customer living a short flight from the vendor.
- Leaving takes notice, and your data has a short window The initial term is 90 days and then renews every 30 days. Either party can end it with at least 30 days' notice before the end of the term, and ending early leaves you paying for the rest of the subscription term. After a termination notice, Mindbody makes your data available through its standard web services for no more than 30 days; help beyond that can carry extra fees.
- The price is a starting point, and the app has a toll The pricing page quotes "starting at €99" per location per month, while the Starter, Accelerate and Ultimate tiers each show "Let's talk". A branded app and the AI Concierge are add-ons. Listing in the Mindbody app is free, but when it delivers a client who is new to you, a fee of 20% applies to that first purchase, capped at $30 or the local equivalent.
What you have to replace, not just match
Mindbody bundles four jobs, and a European replacement has to cover each one you use. The first is the back office: memberships, class packs, recurring billing, a point of sale and staff scheduling.
The second is the booking front: a schedule widget on your website and a member app, which Mindbody sells branded as an add-on. The third is marketing: email and text campaigns and a lead pipeline, which sit in its top tier. The fourth is the consumer app that sends new clients your way.
The first two jobs are well covered in Europe. Magicline, PerfectGym and Booking Board handle gym-style billing and access control, while Eversports and bsport are built around class timetables and branded apps. The fourth job is the hard one.
Mindbody's listing reaches what its pricing page calls more than 3 million monthly shoppers, and no European tool here matches that audience in every country. Eversports runs a marketplace of its own in Austria, Germany and the Benelux, so for studios there it is the nearest answer.
Plan for the quiet parts as well. Payment processing, direct debit mandates, third-party integrations that Mindbody lists on its integrations page, and any website Mindbody built for you will each need a new home. If your members book through a Mindbody widget embedded on your site, that embed must be swapped on the day you switch.

How each alternative compares to Mindbody
Best for: Gyms and studio chains in German-speaking markets that want one back-office system and a member app.
Against Mindbody, Magicline leans toward the gym rather than the wellness business. It covers membership and contribution management, course scheduling, shift planning, time tracking, lead management and training plans, and it adds a member app and a partner marketplace. Mindbody covers spas and salons as well, which Magicline does not try to do.
The contract sits with Sport Alliance Solutions GmbH, a Hamburg company in the commercial register, and the site claims more than 8,000 customers worldwide. Paid plans (Basic, Advanced, Pro, Ultimate) have no published amounts, so the comparison with Mindbody's €99 start has to come from a sales conversation.
What Magicline does better than Mindbody
- Contracting entity in Germany, not a Delaware company under New York law
- Free plan for studios under 25 members, where Mindbody starts at €99
- Shift planning and time tracking built in
- 30-day free trial
Where Magicline is a step down from Mindbody
- No consumer marketplace that sends new clients
- Paid plan prices and hosting location are not published
- Built around the gym model, thin for spas and salons
Standout against Mindbody. It is the only tool here that combines a free plan with shift planning for staff.
Eversports
The only European option with its own consumer marketplace, strongest in DACH and Benelux
Best for: Yoga, fitness and sports studios that need new members from a booking portal, not only software.
Of the tools on this page, Eversports comes nearest to what Mindbody's app does for discovery. It runs a consumer booking portal next to the studio software, so a studio listed there is seen by people looking for a class in their city. The reach is concentrated in Austria, Germany and the Benelux, which is a narrower footprint than Mindbody's global listing.
The software handles class and course timetables with waiting lists, memberships and class packs with recurring billing, and court booking for racquet sports. Its Manager plans run from Light at €49 to Champion at €229 per month billed annually, with a setup fee of €99. The company is registered in Vienna, with entities in Germany and the Netherlands.
What Eversports does better than Mindbody
- Published plan prices from €49 per month, below Mindbody's €99 start
- Vienna-registered company, with German and Dutch entities as well
- Court and resource booking for racquet sports
- Waiting lists and capacity handled in the class model
Where Eversports is a step down from Mindbody
- Marketplace reach is limited to a few markets
- Payment processing is priced on transactions, as at Mindbody
- A poor fit for one-to-one appointment businesses such as spas
Standout against Mindbody. It is the nearest European answer to the Mindbody app as a source of new clients.
Best for: Yoga, Pilates, cycling and dance studios, including franchises and multi-location brands.
bsport is the studio-oriented counterpart to Mindbody's class business. It combines class booking, payments, memberships, a branded app and marketing tools, with a Scale plan for multi-location brands. Where Mindbody sells the branded app as an add-on, bsport places it on its higher plans.
The vendor is BSPORT SAS, registered in Paris, with an interface in English, French, Dutch, German and Spanish. Prices come only through a demo, there is no free version, and the privacy policy permits transfers outside the EEA under standard contractual clauses without naming a hosting location, so ask about both.
What bsport does better than Mindbody
- French company registered in Paris, with an interface in five languages
- Setup and data migration listed as included
- Branded app part of the higher plans, not a separate add-on
- Multi-location Scale plan for franchises
Where bsport is a step down from Mindbody
- No published prices and no free version
- No consumer marketplace comparable to the Mindbody app
- Less suited to turnstile-based gyms
PerfectGym
Club-management platform from Warsaw for gyms that want billing and collection handled
Best for: Gym operators and chains that need automated billing, debt collection and an open API.
PerfectGym is the heavier option on this page, built for clubs rather than single studios. Automated billing, debt collection, member self-service, loyalty and multi-location management are in the product, and it exposes an open API with a partner network. Its published tiers run from Studio at €179 to Enterprise at €575 per club per month, so it starts above Mindbody's €99.
Check the paperwork. The imprint names Perfect Gym Solutions sp. z o.o. in Warsaw, the privacy policy names Perfect Gym S.A., and the footer carries a Sport Alliance GmbH line, so confirm which entity signs your contract. Onboarding is a separate one-time fee, and the site states ISO 27001-certified information security.
What PerfectGym does better than Mindbody
- Debt collection and automated billing inside the product
- Prices published for four tiers
- Open API for integrations
- Polish and EU-based contracting entity
Where PerfectGym is a step down from Mindbody
- Starts at €179, well above Mindbody's entry price
- Separate unpriced onboarding fee
- Entity naming is inconsistent across its own pages
Standout against Mindbody. It is the only tool here that publishes prices for clubs of different sizes up to an Enterprise tier.
Best for: Small and mid-size gyms that want to start with scheduling and add billing or coaching later.
Booking Board answers the "Let's talk" problem at Mindbody with a list. Essentials costs €69 per gym per month, Manage €149, Operate €179, Coach €69 plus €2 per client, Engage €29 and Grow €49. A gym starts with scheduling and adds modules for billing, access control, point of sale or a coaching app as it grows.
The modules do add up: Essentials, Manage and Operate together come to €397 per gym per month at list prices, which is a lot more than Mindbody's starting figure. The vendor is Booking Board ApS in Haderslev, founded in 2019, and the privacy policy does not name a hosting location, so request the data processing agreement.
What Booking Board does better than Mindbody
- Every module price is public, where Mindbody tiers say "Let's talk"
- Pay only for modules in use
- Workout and nutrition coaching app available as a module
- Danish company with a CVR number
Where Booking Board is a step down from Mindbody
- Young vendor, founded in 2019, with fewer references
- Full bundle costs far more than the entry price suggests
- Hosting and sub-processors not named
Best for: French gyms and studios that want clear monthly prices and access control.
Liberfit is operated by MSI2 SAS in Lille, and its legal notice names OVH in Roubaix as host, so the data location is stated where several rivals leave it blank. Its prices are public: Coach at €79, Studio at €99 and Gym at €139 per month with commitment, or €99, €119 and €159 without, excluding VAT.
Functionally it covers multi-club management, a client portal, e-signature, point of sale, e-commerce, access control, a time clock and a custom mobile app. The catch is language. The site and product are in French only, add-on prices are not published, and no certifications are stated.
What Liberfit does better than Mindbody
- Hosting named in the legal notice, with a French provider
- Plans from €79 a month, below Mindbody's €99
- Access control and e-signature in the product
- Prices shown with and without a commitment
Where Liberfit is a step down from Mindbody
- French only, which excludes gyms outside French-speaking markets
- Smaller vendor, with no certifications stated
Best for: Personal trainers and class providers who need bookings and payments at the lowest cost.
Gymcatch is the budget end of this comparison. The base plan costs £10 plus VAT a month with the first month free, bolt-ons are £2 plus VAT each, and payment processing fees are extra. It covers booking, memberships, passes and bundles, virtual sessions and waivers, on web, iOS and Android.
It is a UK company, Gymcatch Limited in London, and English law governs its terms. The privacy policy says data is stored in the United Kingdom, on Linode and AWS infrastructure. UK, not EU, is the honest label, and there is no access control or point of sale listed, so a gym with turnstiles needs another tool.
What Gymcatch does better than Mindbody
- From £10 plus VAT a month against Mindbody's €99
- No contract tie-in
- Data stored in the United Kingdom, stated in the privacy policy
Where Gymcatch is a step down from Mindbody
- UK jurisdiction, and US cloud providers underneath
- No access control or point of sale
- Processing fees extra and unpublished
Best for: German fitness studios and small chains that are leaving another system.
agilea is run by escrea GmbH in Dortmund, and the site says the company has 14 years in the fitness industry. It covers member and contract management, dunning and a cash register with TSE, the German fiscal security module, for single studios or chains.
It is the tool on this page that most openly advertises a switch: the site lists data import from your previous provider, onboarding and team training. No prices are published, the hosting location is not stated and the site is in German, so treat it as a conversation rather than a comparison.
What agilea does better than Mindbody
- Cash register with TSE for German fiscal rules
- Data import from the previous provider and team training
- German GmbH with a full Impressum
Where agilea is a step down from Mindbody
- No published prices or hosting location
- German-language site and a smaller public footprint
Best for: Sports centres, padel and court facilities and CrossFit boxes in Spain.
Nubapp, from NUBAPP APPLICATIONS S.L. in Artica, Navarra, splits its offer by customer: Resasports for centres and courts, Resawod for CrossFit boxes, Resadmin as a staff app and Resapayments as an optional payment gateway. That separation suits facilities that sell court time, which Mindbody does not centre on.
The pages we reviewed show no prices, hosting location or certifications, and they are in Spanish. It is oriented to courts and boxes rather than full-service gyms.
What Nubapp does better than Mindbody
- Separate CrossFit-box product
- Court and facility booking
Where Nubapp is a step down from Mindbody
- No prices, hosting or certifications on the reviewed pages
Best for: Youth sports clubs and teams that track attendance and send invoices to parents.
Sportlyzer, from Sportlyzer OÜ in Tartu, serves clubs rather than commercial gyms. It covers membership, invoicing and payment tracking, attendance with RSVP, coach and player apps and training planning, and it has a free plan plus a 15-day trial. Its privacy policy describes the company as a processor for clubs, who remain controllers of member data.
There is no access control, point of sale or class-pack system in the features we reviewed, and the free plan excludes the player database and apps. A commercial gym that is leaving Mindbody should look at the gym tools above first.
What Sportlyzer does better than Mindbody
- Free plan with a 15-day trial without a credit card
- Apps for coaches and parents
Where Sportlyzer is a step down from Mindbody
- No access control, point of sale or class packs
What actually breaks when you switch
The first thing that breaks is billing. Members on a recurring plan at Mindbody have to be moved to the new system with their payment details and mandates intact, and the terms exclude Cardholder Data from the data Mindbody makes available. Expect to ask members to re-enter payment details or to sign new direct debit mandates, and schedule that around a billing date so nobody is charged twice or skipped.
The second break is everything pointing at the old system: the schedule widget on your website, links in social profiles and newsletters, the app members have installed, and any integrations you enabled through the Mindbody integrations page. Then there is the clock.
With a 90-day initial term and 30-day renewals, set your notice date first, run both systems side by side for one cycle, and keep an export of client and attendance history inside the 30-day window after notice. Retraining front-desk staff is the cost nobody budgets.
How do I leave Mindbody without losing my member data?
Start by reading your order form, because the terms say the initial term is 90 days and then renews in 30-day periods. Give notice at least 30 days before the end of the term you are in, or you pay for another one. Ending early does not cancel the fees for the rest of the subscription term.
Then plan the export before you send notice, not after. The terms give you 30 days following a notice of termination to pull your data through the standard web services, and assistance beyond that may cost extra. Ask the new vendor what import they offer: agilea says it imports from a previous provider, and bsport lists setup and data migration as included.
Is Mindbody allowed to hold the data of European members?
The terms say a Privacy Annex applies where Mindbody processes data originating from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. We have not reviewed that annex or Mindbody's transfer mechanism, so we cannot say how data moves or where it is stored.
What can be read from the terms is the contract shape: a Delaware company, New York law and arbitration in New York County. If your legal adviser wants the member-data contract under European law with a counterparty in your own legal system, any of the EU vendors here meets that more directly.
Which one to pick
If you run a gym with turnstiles, memberships and staff rosters, start with Magicline, PerfectGym or Booking Board. Magicline has a free plan and a Hamburg contract, PerfectGym handles billing and debt collection at €179 and up, and Booking Board lets you build up module by module at published prices. For a French-speaking gym, Liberfit publishes its prices and names its host.
If you run a class-based studio, look at Eversports and bsport. Eversports is the one that also brings in new customers through its own marketplace in Austria, Germany and the Benelux, and bsport is the branded-app route with multi-location support.
Gymcatch fits a personal trainer on a small budget, agilea a German studio that wants help importing data, Nubapp a Spanish court or CrossFit business and Sportlyzer a sports club. If your business is a spa or a salon, none of these is a straight swap, and Mindbody is stronger there.
Frequently Asked Questions
It depends on the studio. For a gym with memberships, billing and shift planning, Magicline from Hamburg or PerfectGym from Warsaw. For class-based yoga, Pilates and fitness studios, Eversports from Vienna or bsport from Paris. For a small gym that wants published module prices, Booking Board from Denmark, and for a tight budget, Gymcatch from the UK.
It depends on where you are domiciled. Mindbody's terms name MINDBODY Australia Pty Ltd for Australia and New Zealand, MINDBODY, Ltd. for the United Kingdom and Isle of Man, and MINDBODY, Inc., a Delaware corporation, for the United States and all other countries. A studio in an EU country therefore contracts with the Delaware company.
Mindbody lists plans starting at €99 per month per location, with the three tiers shown as "Let's talk". Published European prices run from Gymcatch at £10 plus VAT, Booking Board from €69 and Liberfit from €79 for coaches, to PerfectGym from €179 per club. Magicline, bsport and agilea publish no amounts for their paid plans.
Listing is free, and existing clients booking through the app, or arriving by a tracked referral link, carry no fee. When the app delivers a client who is new to your business, Mindbody's pricing page says a fee of 20% applies to that first purchase, capped at $30 or the local equivalent. Later bookings from that client are commission-free.
Partly. Magicline has a free plan for studios under 25 members, and Sportlyzer from Estonia has a free plan, although it targets sports clubs more than commercial gyms. Gymcatch is not free but starts at £10 plus VAT a month with one month free. Everything else on this page is paid.
