European Sports Club and Team Management Software

A team or club app holds names and phone numbers of children, attendance records and payment histories. These European tools cover scheduling, availability, fee collection and club administration, from free team apps to full club systems, and each is run by a company in the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland or Israel.

How we rank these tools — 4-step process
  1. 1
    European ownership, verified

The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA, the UK, Switzerland or Israel, and processes customer data in Europe or Israel. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.

  2. 2
    Category fit and hands-on review

What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.

  3. 3
    Compliance and pricing check

GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.

  4. 4
    Position on this page

Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect the order tools appear in. It never buys a listing: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Vendors can pay for more visibility, higher up on the review pages; it never affects whether a tool is listed. Editorial policy

Key takeaways

  • Spond, the Oslo-based team and club app, ranks first in this directory; the vendor describes it as free for group admins, and the app still covers availability requests, guardian handling, payments and group fundraising.
  • SportEasy is the only team app in this category whose legal notice names a European host (Scaleway in Paris), and its club plan is priced publicly at €0.45 per member per month, or €0.33 on yearly payment.
  • ClubDesk from Basel is the only tool with bookkeeping, donations and a club website in one login together with a free tier, which covers all modules with limited functions for up to 50 members.
  • Four of the thirteen tools are British (Pitchero, TeamStats, LeagueRepublic, Playwaze) and one is Swiss (ClubDesk), so they sit outside the EU and rely on the adequacy decisions for the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
  • Sportlink in the Netherlands and Clubforce in Ireland are the two systems built around a single national structure: Sportlink around federation competitions, Clubforce around club lotteries and draws.

European sports club and team management software is the group of apps and platforms that sports teams and clubs use to schedule training and matches, collect availability replies, message players and parents, and collect fees or run memberships, supplied by a company established in Europe, which matters because the rosters it holds usually contain children's names, photos and guardian contacts that a club is responsible for as the data controller.

#1 Spond

Oslo, Norway Free for teams and group admins per the vendor site; Spond Club pricing not published on the pages reviewed Demo on request

Best for: Sports teams and clubs that want scheduling and payments in a free app

  • Operating company. Spond AS
  • Jurisdiction. EEA, not EU (Norway)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated; privacy policy says some processors are outside the UK/EEA, including the US, under standard contractual clauses
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Wild Apricot

Spond is a Norwegian team and club app from Spond AS in Oslo, and it ranks first in this directory. According to the vendor it is free for group admins. The app handles group setup, events, invites and reminders, availability requests, file storage, messaging, payments, group fundraising and guardians, which makes it useful for youth teams where parents answer for the children.

Spond AS is registered in Norway with organisation number 998 209 218 at Øvre vollgate 11-13 in Oslo, and the Brønnøysund register shows it as an aksjeselskap registered since 2012.

The terms apply Norwegian law with Oslo District Court as venue, and a UK entity, Spond Ltd, is the controller for UK competitions. Spond Club is a second product for club admins, with members, groups, a club website, courses and academies; its price is not published. Norway is in the EEA but not the EU, and the privacy policy lists processors outside the UK and EEA, including the US, under standard contractual clauses.

What Spond does well

  • Free for group admins per vendor
  • Availability requests and guardian handling
  • Payments and fundraising in the app
  • Club website and courses in Spond Club
  • Norwegian law and Oslo venue stated in the terms

Where Spond falls short

  • Sports focus
  • Spond Club pricing not published
  • US processors in privacy policy
  • No association-style directory or accounting

Standout feature. It is the only tool in this category that is free for the group admin and still handles guardians, payments and fundraising in the same app.

#2 SportEasy

Paris, France Team: Standard free (up to 30 registered members), Premium €9.99 per month or €69 per year. Club: Classic €0.45 per member per month, or €0.33 on yearly payment Demo on request

Best for: Amateur teams and multi-team clubs in France and neighbouring countries

  • Operating company. SportEasy SAS
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. France (hosted by Scaleway, Paris, per the legal notice)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. TeamSnap

SportEasy is a French app from SportEasy SAS in Paris that splits its offer between a team product for coaches and a club product billed per member. The team side covers rosters, schedules and game sheets, availability and reminders, line-ups, messaging, statistics and fee collection. The club side adds a shared calendar, newsletters, multi-team management and sponsorship placements inside the app.

Its legal notice names Scaleway in Paris as the website host, one of only two tools in this directory with a stated hosting location.

Team Standard is free up to 30 registered members with banner ads; Premium costs €9.99 per month or €69 per year, and new teams get one month of Premium. Club Classic is €0.45 per member per month, or €0.33 on yearly payment. The vendor says it serves more than 20,000 active clubs, a figure we could not verify, and the site is offered in seven languages. No bookkeeping module was found, so a treasurer still needs a ledger.

What SportEasy does well

  • Free team plan with a 30-member limit
  • Club price shown publicly per member
  • French entity and French hosting
  • Seven interface languages
  • One month of Premium on signup

Where SportEasy falls short

  • Banner ads on free plans
  • No bookkeeping module seen
  • Per-member pricing scales with club size
  • No automatic bookkeeping seen

Standout feature. It pairs a published per-member club price with a hosting location named in the legal notice, which no other tool here does.

#3 Heja

Stockholm, Sweden Free (ad-supported). Team Pro from $8.33 per month. Team Pro Max removes ads for all members. Club deals by contact Demo on request

Best for: Single teams, often youth teams, that want a simple schedule-and-chat app

  • Operating company. Heja Sports AB
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Sweden)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages we read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. TeamSnap

Heja is a Swedish app from Heja Sports AB in Stockholm that does a small job in few screens: it lists practices and games, asks every player or parent to reply and keeps the conversation in the same place. The free plan gives a schedule, RSVP tracking with automatic reminders, messaging with read status and file sharing, with a single team administrator whose role can be handed on.

The terms of use name Heja Sports AB, with an address in Stockholm. Team Pro is advertised from $8.33 per month and adds desktop access, payment tracking, attendance statistics, several admins and polls, while Team Pro Max also removes ads for every member of the team.

Clubs with several teams are sent to sales for a club deal. Prices are in US dollars, the free tier shows advertising, hosting is not stated and the pages describe no member database or club website, so Heja suits a single team better than a club.

What Heja does well

  • Free plan with the core schedule and chat
  • Entity in Sweden
  • Read receipts on messages
  • Pro Max removes ads for all members
  • Simple to explain to parents

Where Heja falls short

  • Ads on the free tier
  • Prices in US dollars
  • No club membership module seen
  • Hosting location not stated

Standout feature. Read receipts on team messages tell a coach who has seen a schedule change, so a coach can see who has not yet read the message.

#4 TeamPlus

Hamburg, Germany Basic free. Premium priced per team with club discounts of up to 50%; see website Demo on request

Best for: Amateur teams in German-speaking countries and their volunteer coaches

  • Operating company. SPM Sportplatz Media GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages we read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. TeamSnap

TeamPlus is a German team planner, run under the spielerplus.de address by SPM Sportplatz Media GmbH in Hamburg, and it is shaped around the weekly work of a volunteer coach: create training and match events, collect confirmations and cancellations, name the line-up and tell the parents. The club page claims an average saving of 1 hour 45 minutes per week, which is the vendor's own figure.

The imprint gives the Hamburg register number HRB 122001. Features reflect German amateur habits, with a team treasury, penalty catalogues for fines, carpooling to away games and parent or substitute accounts, and the interface is available in German variants plus English, French, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Slovak, Dutch, Greek, Turkish and Portuguese.

Basic is free with banner ads and a limit of 30 team members; Premium removes both, adds role permissions, guest players and PDF export, and carries club discounts of up to 50%. The price table on the page is ambiguous, so we quote no amount. No member register was described.

What TeamPlus does well

  • Treasury and penalty catalogues built in
  • Carpooling feature
  • Parent and substitute accounts
  • Interface in many languages
  • Entity in Germany

Where TeamPlus falls short

  • Banner ads on Basic
  • 30-member limit on Basic
  • Pricing page ambiguous
  • No member database seen

Standout feature. A team treasury with penalty catalogues and carpooling is built in, which turns club customs into software.

#5 Sportlyzer

Tartu, Estonia Free plan; Full Package listed at 1000 EUR/year (-30%), by club size; 15-day trial Demo on request

Best for: Youth sports clubs and teams, rather than commercial gyms

  • Operating company. Sportlyzer OÜ
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Estonia)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated; third-party providers mostly in Europe
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Mindbody (for club use), TeamUp

Sportlyzer is an Estonian club management tool from Sportlyzer OÜ in Tartu, aimed at youth and amateur sports clubs rather than commercial gyms. It registers players, parents and contacts, tracks attendance and RSVPs, sends SMS, email and app notifications, and supports season and training planning with player evaluations. Coaches and parents have their own apps, and website widgets can be placed on a club site.

Invoicing is the part that sets it apart: it includes payment tracking, bank statement import and reminders, which suits a club that bills parents for a season.

The Free plan excludes the player database, mobile apps and website widgets, while the Full Package has a 15-day trial without a credit card and is listed at 1000 EUR per year, with pricing by club size. The site cites more than 21,000 coaches and 230,000 athletes, and the privacy policy describes Sportlyzer as a processor for the clubs. It has no access control or point of sale, and hosting is not named.

What Sportlyzer does well

  • Free plan available
  • 15-day trial without a credit card
  • Attendance and RSVP tracking
  • Apps for coaches and parents
  • Estonian entity

Where Sportlyzer falls short

  • Not designed for commercial gyms
  • Free plan excludes apps and player database
  • Hosting location not named
  • Monthly Full Package price not shown

Standout feature. Bank statement import with payment reminders is part of the product, which team-only apps leave to the treasurer.

#6 SportMember

Aarhus, Denmark Basic: no subscription, transaction fee per payment. PRO: fee per user per month with a minimum; see website for the current currency Demo on request

Best for: Danish and Nordic clubs that want fees, teams and website in one system

  • Jurisdiction. EU (Denmark)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages we read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. TeamSnap

SportMember is a Danish platform from Holdsport.dk ApS in Aarhus that sits between a team app and an association system. The sign-up asks whether you are a member, parent, coach or club and lists more than 80 sports. Behind it are a calendar and attendance tracker, a line-up builder, membership fee collection, a club website, ticket sales, a club shop and booking.

The legal page publishes user terms, a privacy policy, club business conditions, a data processing agreement for clubs and ticket, shop and booking terms, all dated June 2026.

The company's CVR number is 33765509, and the About page puts about 20 employees in Aarhus; the vendor says the platform is approaching 2 million users. Basic has no subscription but takes a fee of 0.35 plus 1% of each payment, which the club can pass to the member. PRO is billed per user per month with a minimum. The English pricing page shows pounds and dollars, hosting is not stated and accounting beyond fees is not described.

What SportMember does well

  • No subscription on Basic
  • Data processing agreement published
  • Ticket sales and club shop included
  • Danish entity with CVR number
  • More than 80 sports in the sign-up list

Where SportMember falls short

  • Currency on pricing page not euro
  • Transaction fees on every payment
  • Hosting not stated
  • Weaker on accounting

Standout feature. It is the only tool here that publishes a full set of club legal documents, including a data processing agreement, in one place.

#7 Pitchero

Wakefield, United Kingdom Free (1 team), Standard €44 per month or €484 per year, Pro €115 per month or €1,265 per year, per the euro setting of the pricing page Demo on request

Best for: UK grassroots clubs in football, rugby, cricket, hockey and netball

  • Operating company. Pitch Hero Limited
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages we read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. TeamSnap

Pitchero is a British platform from Pitch Hero Limited that starts from the club website instead of the team chat. A volunteer edits pages, fixtures and news, while the membership database, online payments and team management sit behind the same login. Sport-specific pages exist for football, rugby union and league, cricket, hockey, netball and basketball, and a team side covers availability, selection, messaging, training registers and match fees.

The terms of service give company number 06361033 and an address in Tingley, Wakefield.

In the euro setting the Free plan covers one team with third-party ads, Standard is €44 per month or €484 per year for up to 20 teams, and Pro is €115 per month or €1,265 per year for unlimited teams, with payment processing charged separately. The digital lottery is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and a competitions database links to ECB Play-Cricket, both of limited use outside Britain. Pitchero is outside the EU, and data location is not stated.

What Pitchero does well

  • Website, membership and teams in one login
  • Free plan for a single team
  • Sport pages for seven sports
  • Lottery for UK clubs
  • Company number published in terms

Where Pitchero falls short

  • UK-centred features
  • Ads on Free
  • Mid-range price jump to Pro
  • Data location not stated

Standout feature. The public club website comes first and the team tools hang off it, the reverse of most apps in this directory.

#8 TeamStats

Eastbourne, United Kingdom Free, Plus €6, Pro €9, Elite €15 per team per month (yearly: €60, €90, €150), per the euro setting of the pricing page Demo on request

Best for: Managers of grassroots football teams, adult and junior

  • Operating company. TeamStats.net Limited
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages we read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. TeamSnap

TeamStats is an English football-only manager app from TeamStats.net Limited in Eastbourne, and it builds statistics, line-ups and match reports around one sport. Free includes a team website and app, scheduling, line-ups, match reports with an AI option and basic statistics. Player and team statistics, historical records and teammate ratings are the distinguishing part, and the company also publishes a public team and league directory.

Four plans are priced per team in the euro setting: Plus at €6 adds availability tracking, team finances and messaging, Pro at €9 adds online payments, recurring sessions, advanced stats and ad removal, and Elite at €15 adds unlimited SMS.

Annual billing is €60, €90 and €150, described as two months free. The privacy policy states registration in England under company number 6740155. A club with twenty sides pays twenty subscriptions unless a club arrangement exists, which the pages do not describe, and free teams see ads.

What TeamStats does well

  • Football-specific statistics
  • Free plan with match reports
  • Team finances from Plus
  • Annual billing with two months free
  • English company number published

Where TeamStats falls short

  • Football only
  • Per-team pricing
  • Ads on lower plans
  • No club register seen

Standout feature. Statistics and teammate ratings are built for football and nothing else, which gives it more depth than the multi-sport apps.

#9 ClubDesk

Basel, Switzerland Free (50 members); S CHF 13, M CHF 20, L CHF 36 and XL CHF 41 per month (prices as shown on the vendor page) Demo on request

Best for: Small and mid-sized clubs in Switzerland, Germany and Austria that want a free start

  • Operating company. reeweb ag
  • Jurisdiction. Switzerland (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. Switzerland: hosting by Nine Internet Solutions AG, Zurich (sub-processor list, September 2025)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Wild Apricot, MemberClicks

ClubDesk is a Swiss club software from reeweb ag in Basel that keeps members, finances, donations and the club website in one login. The modules named on the site are member management, club website, invoices and bookkeeping, donations, club calendar, club documents and email. Pages are offered for Switzerland, Germany and Austria in German, and for Switzerland also in French and Italian.

ClubDesk Free includes all modules with limited functions for up to 50 members and 100 MB of storage.

Paid plans are S at CHF 13 per month for 100 members, M at CHF 20 for 250, L at CHF 36 for 500 and XL at CHF 41, according to the vendor page, and a custom domain starts with M.

The company's UID is CHE-114.676.055, and V-Formation GmbH in Karlsruhe is its EU representative under Article 27 GDPR. Hosting is by Nine Internet Solutions in Zurich, while the sub-processor list also names US vendors for support and email. It lacks an English version and match-day tools.

What ClubDesk does well

  • Free tier with all modules for up to 50 members
  • Prices published per plan
  • Swiss hosting at a Zurich provider
  • Club website included
  • EU representative named for GDPR requests

Where ClubDesk falls short

  • Free tier has limited functions
  • Custom domain only from the M plan
  • US sub-processors for support and email
  • German-language focus

Standout feature. Bookkeeping, donations and a website come with every plan including the free one, which makes it a club office rather than a team app.

#10 Clubforce

Ireland, Ireland Membership €25 per month (paid annually), Fundraising €25, Bundle €35; extras and branded app on request Demo on request

Best for: Irish and UK clubs that raise money through lotteries and sell memberships online

  • Operating company. Net Beo Teoranta (trading as Clubforce)
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Ireland)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages we read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. TeamSnap

Clubforce is an Irish platform operated by Net Beo Teoranta that focuses on registration and club income. Its core pieces are a registration tool, a member database, a lotto and draw module, an online shop for events and donations, a no-code website builder and the Clubforce Connect app for messaging members. Association management covers governing bodies, county boards and university sports departments, and a league module handles fixtures and results.

The customer terms name Net Beo Teoranta, registered in Ireland, as the supplier trading as Clubforce. Membership costs €25 per month paid annually, Fundraising €25 and a Bundle €35, with a branded app, digital sponsorship and fixtures integrations as add-ons on request.

Pages list GAA codes, soccer, rugby, basketball, hockey and athletics, and the vendor says it supports over 40 sports, more than 2,000 clubs and over €500 million raised, figures that are its own. Lottery rules are country-specific, matchday depth is lower than in a team app and data location is not stated.

What Clubforce does well

  • Published monthly prices
  • Lotto and draw management
  • Association and league modules
  • Irish entity named in terms
  • No-code website builder

Where Clubforce falls short

  • Annual payment for the quoted rate
  • Add-ons on request
  • Less matchday depth
  • Lottery rules are country-specific

Standout feature. Lottery and draw management sits next to registration, so fundraising and membership share a database.

#12 LeagueRepublic

Wolverhampton, United Kingdom Free. Gold by number of teams: Small €16.50, Medium €27.80, Large €55.50, XL €81.40 per month, plus 1% per registration transaction Demo on request

Best for: Organisers of local leagues in darts, pool, netball, five-a-side and similar sports

  • Operating company. DJH Technology Ltd (LeagueRepublic)
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages we read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. TeamSnap

LeagueRepublic is an English league management service, a division of DJH Technology Ltd in Wolverhampton, built for the organiser of a competition rather than the coach of one team. Its scheduler handles divisions, availability limits and venue sharing, checks conflicts and supports tournaments, while results feed standings and statistics on a league website with free hosting. Online registrations and payments are included.

The About page gives the company number 4641708 in England and Wales. The Free plan covers the scheduler, results, player statistics and registrations with adverts.

Gold removes ads and adds a custom domain, at €16.50 per month up to 25 teams, €27.80 up to 100, €55.50 up to 300 and €81.40 beyond that, plus 1% per registration transaction. Listed sports include darts, pool, netball, snooker, soccer and gaming, and the interface can be switched between more than fifty languages. It is not a club system, and hosting was not checked.

  • Free plan
  • Low transaction fee of 1%
  • Many interface languages

Where LeagueRepublic falls short

  • League-level only
  • Ads on Free
  • Not a club system
  • Hosting not stated

Standout feature. A conflict-checking scheduler that spans divisions and venues is the whole point of the product.

#13 Playwaze

London, United Kingdom Standard free with a 5% fee per transaction plus Stripe fees; competitions usage-based from £19 per month; prices in pounds Demo on request

Best for: Activity providers and small organisers selling sessions, memberships and competitions

  • Operating company. PW24 Ltd
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages we read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. TeamSnap

Playwaze is a British booking and competition platform from PW24 Ltd in London, closer to an activity marketplace than a team app. Organisers list classes and sessions, take payments, keep registers, sell one-off and recurring memberships and run leagues, knockouts or ladders. Participants find them through a public search page, and the landing pages address clubs, regional leagues, instructors and activity providers, plus local authorities and national governing bodies.

The Standard plan is free, with a platform fee of 5% on each online transaction plus Stripe fees, and a higher tier lowers that to 2%. Competitions are usage-based, with the monthly charge set by the number of results entered, starting at £19; single league, knockout or ladder add-ons are listed at £18 a month. Prices are in pounds. Team chat and line-ups were not described, and hosting was not checked.

What Playwaze does well

  • Free to start
  • Competitions with several formats
  • Memberships and bookings together
  • Public search for participants
  • Usage-based competition pricing

Where Playwaze falls short

  • 5% transaction fee
  • Prices in pounds
  • Not a team-chat app
  • Several features billed as separate add-ons

Standout feature. A public search page lets participants find and book an organiser, which the other tools here do not provide.

Which type of tool does a sports club actually need: a team app or a club system?

Start by listing who does the work. A team app serves a coach or manager who wants to know who turns up on Saturday: a schedule, a reply from each player or parent, reminders and a group chat. Heja, TeamPlus, TeamStats and the team side of SportEasy and Spond are built for that person, and most have a free plan.

A club system serves the people behind the coaches: the membership administrator, the treasurer and whoever updates the website. ClubDesk, SportMember, Sportlink and Pitchero keep a member register, collect fees and publish a site. Sportlyzer sits between the two, with attendance for coaches and invoicing for the treasurer. Clubforce and Playwaze lean toward income, through lotteries and paid sessions.

A club with a dozen teams often ends up with both layers, either inside one product (Spond with Spond Club, SportEasy with its club plan) or in two. The test is whether the board needs a member register and a ledger. If it does not, a team app per coach is the lighter option; if it does, put the register first and let coaches use whatever is bundled with it.

How are these tools priced, and what does a club with 300 members pay?

The pricing units differ, and that decides the bill more than the headline number. SportEasy charges clubs per member: €0.45 per member per month, or €0.33 on yearly payment, so 300 members cost about €99 a month on yearly payment before any add-on. TeamStats and Heja charge per team, with TeamStats at €6, €9 and €15 per month and Heja Team Pro from $8.33.

Others charge per club size or per transaction. ClubDesk plans run from CHF 13 to CHF 41 per month by member band.

Pitchero charges €44 or €115 per month depending on team count, and Clubforce €25 for Membership, €25 for Fundraising or €35 for both. LeagueRepublic Gold is priced by number of teams, from €16.50 to €81.40 per month plus 1% per registration. SportMember Basic has no subscription but takes a fee on every payment, and Playwaze takes 5% on online transactions plus Stripe fees on its free plan.

Three prices are missing: Spond Club, Sportlink and TeamPlus Premium. For those, ask for a written quote that names the member count, the number of teams and what the payment processor takes on top, because the processing fee is often larger than the subscription for a club that collects fees online.

Where is the data of a sports club stored, and does a European vendor settle that?

Only two vendors in this directory state a hosting location on the pages we read. SportEasy names Scaleway in Paris in its legal notice, and ClubDesk names Nine Internet Solutions in Zurich in its sub-processor list of September 2025. The same ClubDesk list also names Freshworks, ActiveCampaign and Mailchimp for support and email, so Swiss hosting does not make every data flow Swiss.

For the other eleven the honest answer is that the vendor is European but the hosting is not stated. Spond's privacy policy says that some processors are outside the UK and EEA, including the US, under standard contractual clauses, and names Google and Meta as marketing services. Sportlyzer says its third-party providers are mostly in Europe. A club that has to answer a parent's question should email the vendor and keep the reply.

Jurisdiction differs in a way the table of countries hides. Seven vendors sit in EU member states, Spond in Norway (EEA), ClubDesk in Switzerland and four in the United Kingdom. UK and Swiss vendors rely on adequacy decisions, which hold today and can be reviewed. A club that has to document a transfer basis will find that the UK and Swiss entries need one more line in the register than the EU entries.

How do you move a club off TeamSnap or another American team app?

Plan the switch around the season, not the software. Pick a quiet moment, ask the current admins to export or copy rosters, contact lists, fixtures and fee history, and agree a date after which the old app is read-only. TeamSnap's privacy policy states that deleted accounts can leave residual copies in backups, and none of the European vendors here published an import format on the pages we read, so expect to enter or paste a roster by hand.

Then move people in a fixed order. The coach creates the team, invites the guardians, and posts the first fixtures in the new app before the old one is switched off. Spond lists guardian handling, SportEasy lists invitations with automatic reminders, and Heja is built around simply replying to events, which keeps the parent's step to a single tap.

For clubs on TeamSnap's Clubs and Leagues side, the replacement is two jobs: registration and payments on one side, match-day scheduling on the other. SportMember, Pitchero or Sportlink take the first and a team app the second, unless one product covers both, as Spond Club and the SportEasy club plan intend to.

When should a club not switch to a European tool?

Do not switch in the middle of a season, and do not switch if the main reason is jurisdiction and the club has no complaint about the current tool. A move costs every parent a new installation and every coach a new routine, and the gain is a shorter transfer assessment. If the board has already documented the existing processor and the risk was accepted, wait for the contract renewal.

Also do not switch if the club relies on something the European tools do not list. TeamSnap's pricing page mentions drills and practice plans from pro leagues, and live streaming, and none of the thirteen tools here describes a content library of that kind. Pitchero's lottery is licensed for UK clubs and its ECB Play-Cricket link is useful only in Britain, which also shows how national many of these tools are.

A last case is the club that needs official competitions. A Dutch club on federation fixtures belongs on Sportlink, an Irish club with a lotto belongs on Clubforce, and a Swiss club that needs accounting belongs on ClubDesk. Choose the national tool even if a bigger European app has a longer feature list.

What should you ask a vendor before signing up a children's team?

Ask who the contracting party is, where its register entry is and under which law a dispute runs. Several vendors publish the details: Pitchero names company number 06361033, TeamStats company number 6740155, LeagueRepublic 4641708 and SportMember CVR 33765509, and Spond cites organisation number 998 209 218 in Norway.

Then ask what the vendor does with child data. A club is usually the controller and the vendor the processor, which is exactly how Sportlyzer describes the split in its privacy policy. Ask for the processor agreement: SportMember publishes a data processing agreement for clubs, dated June 2026, and ClubDesk names V-Formation GmbH in Karlsruhe as its EU representative under Article 27 GDPR.

Finally, ask about advertising. Free plans at Heja, TeamPlus, Pitchero, TeamStats, LeagueRepublic and SportEasy show banner or third-party ads, and in a team of eleven-year-olds the parents are the ones who see them. Paid plans such as Heja Team Pro Max remove ads for every member of the team, which is a data-protection decision as well as a comfort one.

How we selected and ranked these 13 tools

Every tool on this page is in the European Purpose directory, which means the operating company is established in Europe and we have verified that from the company register or the vendor's own legal notice rather than from a marketing page. Tools headquartered outside Europe are not eligible, however good they are.

  1. Feature verification (weight: 40%). We check each capability against the vendor's own documentation and product pages, and record what the tool does rather than what the category is assumed to include.
  2. Ease of adoption (weight: 30%). Integrations, published API access, trial availability and how much configuration stands between signing and a usable result.
  3. Value and transparency (weight: 30%). Published pricing counts in a vendor's favour; quote-only pricing is recorded as quote-only rather than estimated. We weigh what a buyer gets for the entry price, not the headline feature count.
  4. Editorial review. Every page is researched and drafted with AI assistance, and the compliance and pricing claims are checked against the vendor's documentation before it is published under the founder's editorial responsibility. The three weights above decide the order; a position is a ranking against the other European tools in this category, not an absolute score.

Vendor-reported outcomes — ROI figures, margin uplift, time saved — are labelled as vendor claims wherever they appear on this page. We have not audited them, and neither has anyone else who quotes them. Read our full editorial process for how pages are re-verified.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on whether you manage a team or a club. Spond from Norway ranks first here because the vendor describes it as free for group admins, with payments and fundraising built in. SportEasy from France and Heja from Sweden are the other free-to-start team apps, while ClubDesk, SportMember, Sportlink and Pitchero suit clubs that need a member register, fee collection and a website.

Spond is free for group admins according to the vendor, Heja has an ad-supported free plan, SportEasy's Standard team plan is free up to 30 registered members, and TeamPlus offers a free Basic plan that carries banner ads. TeamStats, Pitchero and LeagueRepublic also have free plans. Each limits something: members, teams, features or advertising, so read the limit before the first invitation goes out.

SportEasy (€9.99 per month or €69 per year for a team, €0.33 to €0.45 per member for clubs), Clubforce (€25 and €35 per month), TeamStats (€6, €9 and €15 per team per month), LeagueRepublic (€16.50 to €81.40 per month) and Pitchero (€44 and €115 per month in its euro setting). Heja quotes dollars, Playwaze pounds and ClubDesk Swiss francs, while Sportlink and Spond Club publish no price.

Yes. ClubDesk covers members, bookkeeping, donations and a website, SportMember adds ticket sales and a club shop, Sportlink organises the work by volunteer role and connects to federation competitions, and Pitchero builds the club website around a membership database. Sportlyzer adds invoicing and attendance for youth clubs, and Clubforce adds lotteries and draws. All of them ask for more set-up than a team app.

Two do on the pages we reviewed: SportEasy names Scaleway in Paris, and ClubDesk names Nine Internet Solutions in Zurich in its September 2025 sub-processor list. Sportlyzer says its third-party providers are mostly in Europe, and Spond lists some processors outside the UK and EEA under standard contractual clauses. For all others, ask the vendor in writing.

They count as European in the sense that the company sits in Europe, but not as EU. Pitchero, TeamStats, LeagueRepublic and Playwaze are British companies, and transfers of EU data to them rest on the UK adequacy decision. A club that wants every processor inside the EU should choose from the Swedish, French, German, Danish, Estonian, Irish or Dutch entries.
