European Alternatives to Kajabi

Looking for a European alternative to Kajabi? Kajabi, LLC is a company in Irvine, California whose terms are governed by California law, with disputes that are not arbitrated sent to the courts of Orange County, California, and a data processing addendum that places its primary processing facilities in the United States.

Eleven European tools cover parts or all of the job for people who sell courses, memberships and digital products: course and membership platforms, all-in-one funnel and email suites, checkout-first sales tools and one storefront for downloads, from companies in Ireland, Cyprus, France, Germany, Austria, Poland, the Netherlands and Lithuania.

How we rank these tools — 4-step process
  1. 1
    European ownership, verified

The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA or Switzerland, and processes customer data in Europe. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.

  2. 2
    Category fit and hands-on review

What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.

  3. 3
    Compliance and pricing check

GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.

  4. 4
    Position on this page

Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect which tools appear here and the order they appear in. It never buys a good review: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Paid placement can affect which tools appear here and the order they appear in. Editorial policy

Key takeaways

  • Kajabi, LLC is an Irvine, California company whose terms are governed by California law, with arbitration for U.S. residents and Orange County courts otherwise, and whose data processing addendum puts its primary processing in the United States.
  • Systeme.io (Ireland) and LearnyBox (France) are the two with a permanent free plan, and both bundle courses with funnels and email, which is the nearest to the Kajabi shape.
  • LearnWorlds (Cyprus) is the course-first choice, with interactive video, a site builder and a mobile app builder, and its terms are under Cypriot law with Cypriot courts for business customers.
  • Memberspot (Ludwigsburg), LearningSuite (Graz) and Teachizy (Paris) are course and community platforms with their own apps or branding, German-, Austrian- and French-language first, and Memberspot and Teachizy publish plain prices.
  • ablefy (Berlin), FunnelCockpit (Germany) and Publigo (Poland) each fit a narrower case: payments and tax first, funnels and AI page building, or a Polish-language course shop with no commission.
  • Plug&Pay (Netherlands) and Sellfy (Lithuania) sell products and subscriptions but have no course player, so pair them with a lesson tool if you need one.

Why people leave Kajabi

Kajabi is the all-in-one platform for people who sell what they know. One account holds courses, communities, memberships, coaching, newsletters, podcasts, digital downloads, a website builder, funnels and automations, a branded mobile app and its own payments.

A 14-day trial lets you try it, and the pricing page lists three plans: Basic at $179 a month ($143 on annual billing), Growth at $249 ($199) and Pro at $499 ($399), in dollars, with no revenue sharing and payment processing fees on top.

It is run by Kajabi, LLC in Irvine, California. In its terms, "Kajabi" means Kajabi, LLC, Kajabi Financial, LLC and their affiliates, and the agreement is governed by California law. Binding arbitration applies only to U.S. residents. If you live elsewhere, the terms send court proceedings to the state and federal courts of Orange County, California, and nobody may bring or join a class action. Its data processing addendum says Kajabi's primary processing facilities are in the United States.

Eleven European tools are listed here, and they are not all the same kind of thing. Nine have a course or lesson area: Systeme.io, LearnWorlds, LearnyBox, Memberspot, ablefy, FunnelCockpit, Teachizy, LearningSuite and Publigo. Two, Plug&Pay and Sellfy, cover only the selling side and have no lesson player, so they replace a part of Kajabi, not the whole.

  • Your contract and your court are in California The Kajabi agreement is governed by California law. For U.S. residents, disputes go to binding arbitration. For everyone else, the terms name the state and federal courts of Orange County, California, and rule out class actions. The nine course tools here are contracted with companies in Ireland, Cyprus, France, Germany, Austria and Poland, and Plug&Pay and Sellfy with companies in the Netherlands and Lithuania.
  • Student and customer data is processed in the United States Kajabi's data processing addendum says its primary processing facilities are in the United States and that data may go there and elsewhere in the world. For transfers out of the EEA it relies on the 2021 standard contractual clauses, which it places under Irish law. That is a documented, lawful route, but it is still a transfer. Memberspot and LearningSuite say on their own sites that they host in the EU or in Frankfurt, and ablefy says it hosts in Europe. LearnyBox names Amazon Web Services, Inc. as its host without naming a region.
  • The price is a price for a whole business, not a starter Kajabi's cheapest plan is $179 a month, or $143 on annual billing, for 5 products and 2,500 contacts. Several European tools start far lower: LearnyBox and Systeme.io have a permanent free plan, ablefy lists a plan from €27 a month, Memberspot from €49 and Teachizy at €49 a month including VAT. Lower does not always mean equal. The Kajabi plan includes email, a website, a community and a branded app in one bill, and some of the cheaper tools charge a fee per sale or per learner.
  • The European answers split into three shapes Course platforms first: LearnWorlds, Memberspot, Teachizy, LearningSuite and Publigo. All-in-one marketing suites with courses inside: Systeme.io, LearnyBox and FunnelCockpit. Checkout-first sales tools: ablefy, Plug&Pay and Sellfy. Choose by where your business starts, with the lessons, with the funnel or with the payment.

What you have to replace, not just match

Write down what your Kajabi account actually does: how many courses and products, how many contacts, whether you run a community, a podcast or a newsletter in it, whether students use the branded app, and which emails and funnels run on it. A single course with a mailing list moves almost anywhere here. A business that uses Kajabi for communities, email, funnels and payments together narrows the choice to the all-in-one suites.

Export your student list and your email contacts first, and take your own copies of videos, PDFs and written lessons. Kajabi content does not arrive in another tool as a ready-made course. Plan on rebuilding the lessons and the sales pages, and run the old and the new site side by side until the new one works. Keep your domain at a registrar you control, so that moving later is a DNS change.

Check how each tool takes money before you commit. Systeme.io, LearnWorlds, ablefy and Plug&Pay run payments through connected providers or their own checkout and some charge a fee on top of the subscription, while Memberspot lists 0% transaction fees. Read the fee line for the plan you would really use, not the headline plan.

The Learning Center plan adds full white-label and more admins.

  • Interactive video and an assessment builder aimed at teaching
  • SCORM support for training content
  • A white-label academy on its Learning Center plan

LearnyBox

a French all-in-one with a permanent free plan

Best for: French-speaking coaches and trainers who want courses, funnels and webinars together

LearnyBox is published by SAS LearnyBox in Montpellier. The terms of sale are under French law, and the text says only the French version is binding if translated. Its legal notice names Amazon Web Services, Inc. as host and does not name a region.

Its pricing page shows a Free plan at €0 excluding VAT with 1 course for 20 learners, 1 funnel, sales up to €1,000, 2,000 CRM contacts and 4,000 emails a month. Launch costs €39 excluding VAT a month, or €390 a year, and covers 10 courses for 100 learners, 7,500 contacts, 1 live webinar, a community and a mobile app.

It describes a course platform, funnels, email marketing, live and automatic webinars, affiliation and a site and blog, so it is the closest in breadth to Kajabi among the French tools.

What LearnyBox does better than Kajabi

  • French company under French law, where Kajabi is a California company
  • A permanent free plan, with limits that are clearly stated
  • Funnels, email, webinars, affiliation and a community in the same account
  • Prices shown on the page

Where LearnyBox is a step down from Kajabi

  • The contract is in French and only the French text is binding
  • Named host is a U.S. company, with no region stated
  • Learner and sales caps on the free and entry plans

Standout against Kajabi. Its free plan includes a course, a funnel, a CRM and 4,000 emails a month.

#4

Memberspot

a German course and community platform with its own app

Best for: German-speaking coaches and experts who want a branded learning app and plain prices

Memberspot is run by Memberspot GmbH in Ludwigsburg (HRB 774709, Amtsgericht Stuttgart). Its terms are under German law, with the courts at its seat for businesses. Its homepage says it is GDPR-compliant and hosted in the EU, which is its own statement.

Its pricing page lists Starter at €49 a month (1 course, 100 members), Grow at €119 (unlimited courses, 2,500 members) and Scale at €249 (10,000 members, 15 admins), all with 0% transaction fees and a 14-day trial without a credit card. It describes branded iOS and Android apps, a community, exams, certificates and AI agents.

It is built for course and community delivery, not for funnels or a full email suite, so most users pair it with a mailing tool.

What Memberspot does better than Kajabi

  • German company under German law, hosted in the EU by its own account
  • 0% transaction fees on every plan
  • A community and quizzes in the entry plan
  • Plain prices, no card for the 14-day trial

Where Memberspot is a step down from Kajabi

  • Starter is limited to 1 course and 100 members
  • No funnel builder or email suite is listed on its pricing page
  • The site and terms are German first

Standout against Kajabi. It describes branded iOS and Android apps, and 0% transaction fees apply on every plan.

#5

ablefy

a Berlin checkout platform with courses and communities

Best for: Sellers who care most about payments, tax handling and automatic follow-up

ablefy is a Berlin platform, listed in the commercial register as ablefy GmbH (HRB 151956 B, Amtsgericht Charlottenburg). Its own imprint and terms pages are filled in by the browser and could not be read for this page, so the entity comes from the register entry.

Its pricing page says plans start at €27 a month plus 2.7% and €0.50 for each successful standard payment, and that its Create & Sell plan includes courses, memberships, member areas and communities. It lists checkout, payment methods, invoices and taxes, dunning and debt collection, tax reports and hosting in Europe.

It is closest to a checkout-led business. Compare its per-payment fee with Kajabi's "no revenue sharing" line and with the processing fees you already pay.

What ablefy does better than Kajabi

  • German company, hosted in Europe by its own account
  • Built-in tax reports, dunning and debt collection
  • Lower entry price, from €27 a month
  • Courses, memberships and communities in one plan

Where ablefy is a step down from Kajabi

  • A fee per payment on top of the subscription
  • Imprint and terms could not be read for this page
  • Less of a website and email suite than Kajabi

Standout against Kajabi. Payments, tax and debt collection are the heart of the product.

#6

FunnelCockpit

a German funnel and email suite with member areas

Best for: Marketers who sell through funnels and want AI page building and member areas

FunnelCockpit's imprint names a civil-law partnership (GbR) of Denis Hoeger Caballero, Just Viral GmbH & Co. KG in Hamburg (HRB 138201) and Marius Glauer, all in Germany. Payment and cancellation questions go to Digistore24, and its terms do not name a governing law or court.

Its pricing page lists Lite at €47 and Standard at €97 a month, billed monthly or with a 15% discount yearly, with a 14-day trial for €1. Lite has 5 projects and 1 member area, and Standard 10 projects and 3 member areas. It describes an AI page builder, mobile quiz funnels, email marketing, a CRM, videos and webinars.

It is a marketing tool first. Member areas are part of it, but it is not a course platform in the way LearnWorlds or Memberspot are.

What FunnelCockpit does better than Kajabi

  • German operators with an imprint, where Kajabi is a California company
  • Funnels, quiz funnels, email and a CRM in one suite
  • A 14-day trial for €1
  • Prices shown on the page

Where FunnelCockpit is a step down from Kajabi

  • The terms name no governing law or court
  • Few member areas on the lower plans
  • Billing runs through another company, Digistore24
  • A marketing suite first, with lighter course features

Standout against Kajabi. It pairs an AI page builder and quiz funnels with member areas in one German suite.

#7

Teachizy

a French course platform with unlimited learners on one price

Best for: French trainers who want unlimited learners, Stripe instalments and Qualiopi support

Teachizy is a trade name of MAJ DIGITAL SAS, 19 avenue d'Italie, Paris (RCS Paris 844 925 834). Its hosting is delegated to providers on its list of subprocessors. Its terms of sale sit on an external page that could not be loaded, so the governing law is not stated here.

Its pricing page lists €49 a month including VAT, or €490 a year, for unlimited learners, courses, content and sales, and €99 a month for the plan with course packs, a switch to English, 3 team members, two-step verification for learners and community forums. It describes Stripe instalments, affiliation, abandoned-cart reminders, quizzes, assignments and scheduled content, and says it is compatible with Qualiopi.

It is focused on delivering and selling courses to French learners, not on a wider marketing suite.

What Teachizy does better than Kajabi

  • French company, with the legal entity named on the site
  • Unlimited learners and courses at one published price
  • Instalment payments, affiliation and abandoned-cart reminders
  • Qualiopi and CPF positioning for French training

Where Teachizy is a step down from Kajabi

  • The terms of sale could not be loaded for this page
  • The English switch is only on the higher plan
  • Marketing tools are lighter than Kajabi's email, website and funnel set

Standout against Kajabi. One price covers unlimited learners and courses, with Qualiopi support for French training.

#8

LearningSuite

an Austrian course and community platform with Frankfurt servers

Best for: Coaches and companies that want a polished branded learning space and personal onboarding

LearningSuite is run by LearningSuite FlexCo in Graz, Austria (FN 556105 b). Its terms are under Austrian law, and its homepage says its servers are in Frankfurt and that it is GDPR-compliant, which is its own statement.

Its site describes a course editor, a community, a mobile app, branding and design, video hosting, exams, a migration service and premium support, in German, English and Polish. It lists no prices and asks you to book a demo call, so no figure appears here.

It reads as a managed, higher-touch product, aimed at coaches and at companies onboarding customers or staff.

What LearningSuite does better than Kajabi

  • Austrian company under Austrian law, with servers in Frankfurt by its own account
  • A migration service and personal onboarding
  • Mobile app, community and exams in the same product
  • Aimed at both coaches and company training

Where LearningSuite is a step down from Kajabi

  • No public prices, only a demo call
  • No free plan, no self-serve trial is shown
  • Less of a marketing and email suite than Kajabi

Standout against Kajabi. It offers a migration service, which suits people leaving another platform.

#9

Publigo

a Polish course platform with no commission

Best for: Polish-speaking sellers who want fixed monthly pricing or a one-off licence

Publigo is operated by NEURE Sp. z o.o. in Swarzedz, near Poznan (KRS 0000934660), formerly known as WP Idea. The site and the terms are in Polish.

Its pricing page lists the GO subscription at 87 zł plus VAT a month for Start and 157 zł plus VAT for Plus, with unlimited products and customers on Start, no commission and Polish payment integrations such as tPay, PayU and Przelewy24 alongside PayPal and Stripe. There is a BOX version bought as a licence, a 15-day trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee.

It is built for the Polish market. If your students are Polish, that is its strength; if they are not, it is the wrong choice.

What Publigo does better than Kajabi

  • Polish company with its register number in the terms
  • No commission on sales
  • A choice between a subscription and a licence
  • Polish payment and invoicing integrations

Where Publigo is a step down from Kajabi

  • Site and terms in Polish only
  • No email or funnel suite of Kajabi's breadth
  • Little use outside the Polish market

Standout against Kajabi. It can be bought as a licence instead of a monthly subscription.

#10

Plug&Pay

a Dutch sales-funnel tool, without a course player

Best for: Sellers who need checkouts, upsells and subscriptions and deliver lessons elsewhere

Plug&Pay is run by Plug&Pay B.V. in the Netherlands (KvK 72447842). Its terms are governed by Dutch law, with the Court of Central Netherlands, Utrecht location, as exclusive forum. It needs a Mollie or Stripe account to take payments.

Its pricing page lists Lite at €25, Premium at €69 and Ultimate at €149 a month on annual billing, with 14 days free before the first payment. Premium adds unlimited products, subscriptions, instalment payments and A/B testing. Ultimate adds an affiliate system, a debtor system and a customer portal. It describes websites with AI, landing pages, checkouts, funnels and order bumps.

It lists no course or lesson player, so it replaces the selling side of Kajabi only.

What Plug&Pay does better than Kajabi

  • Dutch company with a named court, where Kajabi is under California law
  • Order bumps, one-click upsells and A/B testing in the sales flow
  • Subscriptions and instalment payments from the Premium plan
  • An affiliate system on the Ultimate plan

Where Plug&Pay is a step down from Kajabi

  • No course player or community is listed
  • Needs a Mollie or Stripe account
  • The entry plan allows only 3 products and 10 pages

Standout against Kajabi. It focuses on the sales flow, with upsells, order bumps and an affiliate marketplace.

#11

Sellfy

a Lithuanian storefront for downloads and subscriptions, without lessons

Best for: Creators who sell downloads, subscriptions or merch and want simple email tools

Sellfy is run by Sellfy UAB in Vilnius (registration number 302673703). Its terms are governed by Lithuanian law with the courts of Lithuania, and they say they are a business-to-business contract to which consumer law does not apply.

Its pricing page lists Starter at $22 a month on annual billing ($29 monthly), Business at $59 ($79) and Premium at $119 ($159), in dollars, with annual sales limits of $10,000, $50,000 and $200,000, 0% transaction fees and a 14-day trial. It describes digital downloads, subscriptions, print-on-demand, physical products, email marketing and affiliate marketing.

It does not describe a course or lesson player on its pricing page, so it only replaces the digital-download and subscription side of Kajabi.

What Sellfy does better than Kajabi

  • Lithuanian company under Lithuanian law, with 0% transaction fees
  • Print-on-demand and physical products next to digital downloads
  • A low entry price for simple stores
  • Email marketing and upselling tools included

Where Sellfy is a step down from Kajabi

  • No course or lesson player described
  • Annual sales caps per plan
  • Prices are in dollars
  • No community, podcast or app comparable to Kajabi's

Standout against Kajabi. It treats downloads, subscriptions, print-on-demand and merch as one store.

What actually breaks when you switch

The hard part of leaving Kajabi is the content and the audience, not the account. Videos, written lessons and sales pages do not arrive in another tool as a ready course, so budget time to rebuild them. Export your contacts, student lists and purchase records first, and keep your own copies of every video and file before you cancel.

Read the fee line for the plan you would really use. Kajabi shows a flat price with no revenue sharing, and several of these add a fee per payment or per learner (ablefy 2.7% plus €0.50, LearnWorlds on its entry plan), while Memberspot and Publigo list no commission. A cheaper subscription can cost more per sale.

Check the language of the contract, not just the interface. LearnyBox's terms are binding only in French, Publigo's in Polish and Teachizy's are on an external page, and FunnelCockpit names no governing law. If you sell to learners in several countries, ask each vendor whether English terms exist before you sign.

Is there a European tool that does everything Kajabi does?

Not quite. Closest in shape are Systeme.io and LearnyBox, which combine funnels, email marketing, courses, a website and community features in one account, and LearnWorlds, Memberspot and LearningSuite on the course and branded-app side. None of them lists exactly the same set as Kajabi: communities, newsletters, podcasts, coaching, a branded mobile app, its own payments and an ad network.

If you use only part of Kajabi, the gap is smaller than the feature list suggests. Decide which two or three features carry your income and look for those.

Which of these has a free plan, and which only a trial?

Systeme.io describes a free forever plan with no credit card, and LearnyBox has a Free plan at €0 excluding VAT with one course for 20 learners and sales up to €1,000. The rest are trials: LearnWorlds has a free trial, Memberspot 14 days without a card, FunnelCockpit 14 days for €1, Plug&Pay 14 days free, Publigo 15 days, Sellfy 14 days, and LearningSuite works by booking a demo.

Free plans carry limits, such as learner and contact caps, so read them before you build on one.

Which of these publish prices I can check?

LearnyBox (Launch at €39 excluding VAT a month), Memberspot (€49, €119 and €249 a month), FunnelCockpit (€47 and €97), Teachizy (€49 and €99 including VAT), Publigo (87 zł and 157 zł plus VAT), Plug&Pay (€25, €69 and €149 on annual billing) and ablefy (from €27 plus 2.7% and €0.50 a payment) all show amounts on their pages. Sellfy shows dollar prices with annual sales caps.

Systeme.io and LearnWorlds fill in their price tables in the browser, so no figure is quoted here. LearningSuite lists no prices at all.

Does the contract really matter for a course business?

It matters most for which law applies, where a dispute is decided and where your students' data is processed. With Kajabi, that is California law, arbitration for U.S. residents or Orange County courts, and processing mainly in the United States. With the tools here, the contracting company is in the EU, with courts in its own country, except where the terms name no forum, as with FunnelCockpit.

For a hobby course it is a small point. For a business that stores student data and collects payments, it belongs next to price and features.

Which one to pick

If you want the nearest thing to Kajabi at a much lower price, with funnels, email, courses and a free start, Systeme.io is the one, and LearnyBox is its French-language counterpart with published prices. If lessons are the product, choose LearnWorlds for interactive video and assessments, or Memberspot and LearningSuite for a branded app and a community.

Pick Teachizy for French training with unlimited learners at one price, Publigo for a Polish audience and no commission, FunnelCockpit if your business runs on funnels and quizzes, and ablefy if payments, tax handling and follow-up matter most.

Plug&Pay and Sellfy are honest partial answers. They sell products and subscriptions well and do not teach, so pair them with a lesson tool, or use them only if your Kajabi account was mostly a shop.

Be realistic about the gap. Kajabi holds courses, communities, newsletters, podcasts, coaching, an app and payments in one place, and none of the eleven matches all of that. Switch if a European contracting party, a court close to home and EU-based data matter more than the breadth, and stay on Kajabi if the combination you use has no equivalent.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on what you use Kajabi for. Systeme.io is the nearest all-in-one, with a free plan, funnels, email and courses. LearnWorlds is the better pick if lessons and interactive video are the product. LearnyBox suits a French-speaking business that wants a free start, and Memberspot a German-speaking one that wants its own app and published prices.

No. Kajabi, LLC is in Irvine, California. Its terms are governed by California law, and for people outside the United States they send court proceedings to the state and federal courts of Orange County, California.

On its pricing page, in dollars, Basic is $179 a month, or $143 a month billed annually, Growth is $249 or $199, and Pro is $499 or $399. Basic includes 5 products, 2,500 contacts, 1 website and 1 community, and Pro has unlimited products and 100,000 contacts. The page says there is no revenue sharing and that processing fees apply, and there is a 14-day trial.

Its data processing addendum says its primary processing facilities are in the United States and that it may transfer and process data there and anywhere else its subprocessors operate. For transfers from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it uses the 2021 standard contractual clauses, governed by Irish law.
