Brevo vs GetResponse

Brevo and GetResponse both sell email marketing with automation and landing pages, but they meter differently. Brevo sets its tiers by monthly email volume and has a free plan, and adds SMS, WhatsApp and transactional messaging. GetResponse prices by contact count with unlimited sends, offers a 14-day trial rather than a free plan, and bundles webinars and course tools into its Creator plan.

Where Brevo and GetResponse differ

Across the five points below, Brevo has the edge on 3 points, GetResponse on 1 point and one is a tie. A count like that is a summary, not a verdict: the point that matters to you may be the one the other product wins.

The pricing meter

Brevo's paid tiers start from 5,000 emails per month on Starter, so cost follows sending volume. GetResponse asks how many contacts you have: its Starter plan lists unlimited monthly sends, with price rising by contact tier. Large lists mailed rarely suit Brevo's meter; small, frequently mailed lists suit either.

No clear winner on this point.

Getting started cheaply

Brevo's pricing page lists a Free plan, then Starter at USD 9 a month and Standard at USD 18. GetResponse's smallest tier (1,000 contacts) is EUR 16 a month on Starter, EUR 54 on Marketer and EUR 62 on Creator. The currencies and meters differ, so the comparison is indicative, but Brevo has the lower entry point.

Edge: Brevo

Free plan or trial

Brevo gives every account a Free plan; once the account is approved for sending you can send up to 300 emails per day. The GetResponse pricing page we checked lists a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, and shows no free plan. For an open-ended free start, Brevo is the one.

Edge: Brevo

Webinars and courses

GetResponse's Creator plan lists webinars, a course creator for up to 500 students and a website builder. Its webinar page speaks of room for up to 1,000 live attendees, two other presenters and 20 hours of recordings, while the pricing page lists 100 attendees on Creator, so check the limit for your plan. Brevo's pricing page lists no webinar product.

Edge: GetResponse

Channels beyond email

Brevo's pricing page lists email, SMS, WhatsApp, web and mobile push, live chat and chatbot, and says transactional messages go out via SMTP relay and API; Professional adds WhatsApp, popups and push. GetResponse lists SMS, mobile push and transactional emails under Enterprise. For several channels on a smaller plan, Brevo covers more.

Edge: Brevo

At the entry level, yes on list prices: Brevo's Starter is USD 9 a month and its Free plan costs nothing, while GetResponse's Starter is EUR 16 a month for 1,000 contacts.
