Detailed Review
alfaview prices the room, not the person. A One room is €1 per month excluding VAT, Professional €3.90 and Premium €9.90, or €12, €39 and €99 a year, and the number of people who meet in that room does not change the bill.
A free plan covers up to 50 participants. For an organisation that runs a handful of standing meetings with large and fluctuating attendance — a works council, a training provider, a member association — that is a different arithmetic from every per-user product in this guide, and the one that makes alfaview cheap at scale.
alfaview gmbh sits at Kriegsstraße 100 in Karlsruhe, registered at the Amtsgericht Mannheim under HRB 730903, and belongs to the alfa group alongside alfatraining Bildungszentrum GmbH, which appears in its own subprocessor list for infrastructure and support.
That list, in the March 2026 version of the DPA and technical measures document, is the reason alfaview is here: SysEleven, noris network, Hetzner, OVH GmbH in Cologne, IONOS Cloud and the Open Telekom Cloud. Six operators, all of them German, and not one American cloud among them. The information security management system is certified to ISO/IEC 27001.
What alfaview does not offer is end-to-end encryption: the IT security page describes encryption in transit and at rest, which means the server can see the media in a way Tixeo's and Proton Meet's cannot. The code is not published. The per-room model cuts the other way as soon as you need many simultaneous meetings, because each concurrent room is a separate subscription, and the 30-day "Free 500 Special" trial can be claimed only once per organisation.
What alfaview does well
- Priced per room, with any number of users in that room
- All hosting in Germany: SysEleven, noris network, Hetzner, OVH GmbH, IONOS Cloud, Open Telekom Cloud
- ISO/IEC 27001 certified information security management
- Full price list published, from €1 per room per month excl. VAT
- Free plan for up to 50 participants
Where alfaview falls short
- Encryption in transit and at rest, not end-to-end
- Not open source
- Each concurrent meeting needs its own paid room
- The 30-day trial can be claimed only once per organisation
- alfaview publishes no founding year
Standout feature. A room that costs €3.90 a month however many people are in it — alfaview is the only tool here that does not bill by the head.
