Tixeo

Tixeo is the only video conferencing product in this category certified by ANSSI, the French national cybersecurity agency, and it has held that CSPN certification for more than seven consecutive years. That is an audited technical assessment rather than a compliance badge, and it is what makes Tixeo usable by organisations where a leaked meeting is a national-security problem rather than an embarrassment.

The technical basis is end-to-end encryption by default across multi-participant calls — which is harder than it sounds, because most platforms decrypt at the server to mix streams and quietly drop end-to-end encryption once a third person joins. Tixeo does not, so the server carries traffic it cannot read no matter how many people are in the room.

The other claim it makes is jurisdictional and unusually direct: the software is designed and developed entirely in Europe, in-house, and the company states that its proprietary technology is not subject to foreign legislation. For a defence contractor or a ministry, that is the sentence procurement is looking for, and on-premise deployment removes even the hosting question. The trade-offs are real: it is a security product first, so the interface and the casual-meeting experience are behind Whereby or Jitsi, it is paid rather than free, and for a team that just needs a video call it is a great deal more rigour than the situation calls for.
