London, United Kingdom
Founded 2018
EOR from €560 per employee per month; contractor management from €45 per contractor per month; €0 setup and exit fees
Demo on request
Best for: Mid-sized employers that want a fixed, itemised bill and a possible route to their own entity
Teamed is a London employer of record, Teamed Ltd, registered in England and Wales and dating its story to 2018. Its pricing page shows one monthly service fee of €560 per employee, contractor management from €45 and zero setup and exit fees, and it prints a sample invoice that breaks a €13,292.00 monthly total for a Berlin engineer into salary, statutory charges, benefits, local levies and the fee.
The company says it holds its own legal entities in 57 countries, while its product pages talk about 187+, and the pages do not explain how the difference is covered. A refundable deposit of one month of salary plus first-month funding is collected before the first payroll, and a 90-day satisfaction guarantee is offered. The UK sits outside the EEA with an EU adequacy decision, and this review rests on the vendor's pages, not a hands-on test.
What Teamed does well
- One published service fee per employee
- Itemised sample invoice with statutory costs at cost
- €0 setup and exit fees
- Entity management on the same platform
- Experts assigned within 24 hours, per the pricing page
Where Teamed falls short
- Starting price only, not a quote for your country
- Refundable deposit and first-month funding upfront
- Owned entities in 57 countries versus 187+ advertised
- No free plan or self-serve trial stated
Standout feature. Teamed is the one provider whose pricing page shows a complete invoice for a named hire, with every cost line separated and FX at zero markup.
Amsterdam, Netherlands
EOR from $349 per employee per month (pricing page; the homepage says from €319); Contractor of Record from $149 per contractor per month; visas on request
Demo on request
Best for: Companies that want a named account manager rather than a self-service portal
Rivermate is run by Rivermate B.V. from Amsterdam, and its terms of service are an agreement with that Dutch company. The pricing page lists EOR from $349 per employee per month and Contractor of Record from $149, though the homepage says EOR from €319, so the written proposal is the figure to rely on.
The group states 38 owned entities, more than 1,300 companies served and 3,500 employees on payroll, all vendor claims. A banner says several EOR businesses now trade as Rivermate and an Indian provider has joined the group, so not every entity sits in Europe. Clients reach local staff by Slack, WhatsApp, email or phone, and visa support is sold in the same service. Founding year was not stated on the pages checked.
What Rivermate does well
- Starting prices for EOR and Contractor of Record are public
- 38 entities stated as owned
- Dutch contracting entity named in the terms
- Visa and immigration support in the same service
- Human support channels including WhatsApp and Slack
Where Rivermate falls short
- Starting prices in USD and inconsistent between pages
- Final fee only through a proposal
- No self-serve trial mentioned
- Group includes acquired entities outside Europe
Standout feature. Rivermate gives each client a named account manager and sells EOR, Contractor of Record and visa work from one Dutch contracting company.

Best for: Start-ups and mid-sized teams that want a list price, no contract minimum and a dedicated success manager
Playroll Limited is registered in England and Wales under number 13596140 with a registered office in London. Its pricing page shows EOR from $399 per employee per month with no minimum commitment, converted into twelve currencies, and a long feature table covering invoicing by team, leave accrual tracking and bonus planning up to twelve months ahead.
Each client has a Customer Success Manager and each employee an Employee Success Manager, per the FAQ, and BambooHR and HiBob connections are named. A refundable deposit equals one month of salary. Playroll's website terms say services are delivered through a network of international companies it has established, so the employing entity differs by country. Support runs five days a week, around the clock, and only the EOR price is public.
What Playroll does well
- Published starting price and full feature table
- No minimum headcount or onboarding fees
- Customer and Employee Success Managers included
- Integrations with BambooHR and HiBob
- UK company number and registered office disclosed
Where Playroll falls short
- Only the EOR price is public
- Services delivered through a network of companies
- Refundable deposit of one month of salary
- Supported hours are 24x5, not seven days
Standout feature. Playroll is the only provider here with a published feature table and a named success manager for both the client and each employee.
London, United Kingdom
Founded 2020
EOR from $99 per employee per month; Eorly $49 per employee per month for 50+ employees; Contractor of Record from $99; Contractor Pay from $19
Demo on request
Best for: Cost-conscious companies that mix employees, contractors and gig workers and want one payment layer
Native Teams is Native Teams Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 12584623 with an office at One Canada Square in London. The about page starts in 2020 with work payments, adds Balkan payroll in 2021 and shows seed funding of €2M in 2022 and €6.275M in 2024.
The pricing page begins EOR at $99 per employee per month, Contractor of Record at $99 and Contractor Pay at $19. Eorly places staff on a dedicated EU entity for $49 per employee, from 50 employees, with an option to own it later. The terms say a service may be provided or invoiced by another group company, and the menu leads with payments, so HR-suite depth is thinner than at the HR-first providers.
What Native Teams does well
- Lowest published EOR entry price in this category
- Eorly entity option with route to ownership
- Contractor Pay from $19
- Payments, payroll and employment in one platform
- Company number and ICO number disclosed
Where Native Teams falls short
- Final price depends on plan and tiers
- Eorly price requires 50+ employees
- Services may be invoiced by other group companies
- Payments focus means fewer HR-suite features
Standout feature. Native Teams pairs the lowest published EOR price in the list with Eorly, a dedicated EU entity you can take over.
Berlin, Germany
Founded 2018
EOR from €499 per employee per month; multi-country payroll from €19 per employee; payroll consolidation from €3; contractors from €19; payments add-on
Demo on request
Best for: Mid-market companies that already run payroll in several countries and want EOR and consolidation in one dashboard
Lano is Lano Software GmbH of Berlin, registered at the Amtsgericht Berlin-Charlottenburg under HRB 198116 B, and its about page gives 2018 as the founding year with a team spread across 19 countries. The pricing page lists EOR from €499, multi-country payroll from €19, payroll consolidation from €3 and contractors from €19.
Consolidation is the product that sets Lano apart: it standardises gross-to-net figures from many local payroll providers into one dashboard. Delivery runs through local partners in 170+ countries, not owned entities, and the security page states SOC 2 Type II. The vendor says it serves more than 2,000 companies and targets mid-market firms with an HRIS, ERP or accounting system already in place.
What Lano does well
- Published starting prices for four services
- Payroll consolidation across existing providers
- German GmbH with register number in the legal notice
- SOC 2 Type II stated on the security page
- API and HRIS or finance integrations
Where Lano falls short
- Delivery through local partners
- Quote-based pricing after the starting figures
- Aimed at mid-market rather than very small teams
- Payments is an optional add-on with a SWIFT fee
Standout feature. Lano can read payroll output from other payroll vendors into one dashboard, which no other provider in this list offers.
Antwerp, Belgium
Founded 1945
Enterprise payroll and HR services; quoted per organisation, not published
Demo on request
Best for: Larger employers that want European payroll first and a later step from EOR to local payroll
SD Worx is SD Worx NV, an Antwerp payroll and HR group that traces back to 1945 and appears on this site under KBO number BE 0644.841.746. The Belgian holding WorxInvest holds 77.5% and CVC Capital Partners the rest since 2023, and the group covers statutory payroll in around 30 European countries through its own legal entities.
For EOR the position is different from what the headline suggests. Its EOR page states that SD Worx delivers EOR through a long-standing partnership with G-P, also known as Globalization Partners, which manages contracts, payroll and offboarding in 180+ countries. The value is the step afterwards, because the page says SD Worx supports the move from EOR to its global payroll when you open an entity. No price is published.
What SD Worx does well
- Own legal entities for payroll in about 30 European countries
- Belgian holding WorxInvest owns 77.5%
- Founded in 1945 in Antwerp
- Stated path from EOR to its own global payroll
- HR, payroll and time management in one platform
Where SD Worx falls short
- EOR is delivered through G-P, a US company
- No published price; account-manager sales
- Aimed at medium and large organisations
- CVC Capital Partners holds a minority stake since 2023
Standout feature. SD Worx is the only payroll group in the list that states on its own page that its EOR is delivered by another company, G-P.
Oslo, Norway
Founded 2000
Enterprise managed payroll; quoted per organisation, not published

Best for: Large European employers that want consultants to run payroll and employ through local entities
Zalaris is Zalaris ASA, an Oslo company with organisation number 981 953 134 that has run payroll since 2000. Its EOR page says Zalaris becomes the employer through its own local legal entities, with a focus on European employment law, and the site describes managed payroll across more than 150 countries.
The model is a managed service, not software you operate: consultants run the payroll and file it. Carlsberg is named on the site as a Nordic customer. Norvestor, a Norwegian private equity firm, completed a majority acquisition in 2026 after a period as a listed company. Norway is in the EEA but outside the EU, and no price is published.
What Zalaris does well
- Consultants run the payroll instead of a self-service tool
- EOR through Zalaris local entities, per its EOR page
- Payroll coverage stated in more than 150 countries
- Carlsberg named as a Nordic customer on the site
- SAP SuccessFactors integration for enterprise HR
Where Zalaris falls short
- No published price and no sign-up route
- Not aimed at small or mid-sized employers
- Majority now held by Norvestor private equity
- Norway is in the EEA but outside the EU
Standout feature. Zalaris hands the whole payroll to its own consultants and pairs it with EOR through its own entities.

The company states 164 countries through owned entities and vetted partners, with typical onboarding in five business days, a flat monthly fee per employee and one invoice and dashboard on its Portico platform. No amount is published, costs arrive by reply within a business day, and the page does not say which countries use owned entities. Acquisitions, including Blueback Global in 2022, mean the employing company can differ.
What TopSource does well
- 164 countries with a stated owned-plus-partner model
- Typical onboarding in five business days
- API and HRIS or ATS integrations
- One invoice and one dashboard
- Company history and registered address are public
Where TopSource falls short
- No published price

Best for: Companies that already manage freelancers through a platform and want EOR for the few who must become employees
Worksome is Worksome ApS, with an address at Dampfaergevej in Copenhagen, and its footer also lists Worksome Ltd in London and Worksome USA, Inc. in Colorado. The company started as a freelance management platform, and EOR appears under services beside compliance, contracts and payments.
The EOR page describes employment of full-time staff in 150+ countries, a separate US EOR and an Agent of Record product for independent workers. Hires start through a flow in which Worksome employs the person within 24 to 48 hours, according to the vendor, and payroll lands in one invoice in USD, GBP or EUR. No price or entity model is given, so ask before you assume owned entities.
What Worksome does well
- Single platform for freelancers, contractors and employees
- Agent of Record option for independent workers
- One consolidated invoice in USD, GBP or EUR
- Danish company with a Copenhagen address
- US EOR for domestic hires
Where Worksome falls short
- No published pricing
- Entity model not described
- EOR is secondary to freelancer management
- UK and US subsidiaries in the group
Standout feature. Worksome lets you turn a freelancer you already manage on its platform into an employee without changing system or invoice.

Best for: Smaller companies that prefer a service team to a self-service platform
EOR International is EOR International Ltd, registered in England and Wales under number 16090269 at Great Portland Street in London. The about page says the service was formed in 2022 and the company launched in 2024, so the public record is short.
The solutions menu lists Employer of Record, Global Contractor Engagement and International Advisory, and the homepage presents the team as doing the contract, payroll and compliance work itself rather than offering a portal. The company claims 150+ countries, publishes a phone number and imprint, and shows sector pages for fintech, engineering, media and renewables. No prices, integrations or entity model are described.
What EOR International does well
- UK company number and address disclosed
- Managed service with named focus on compliance
- Contractor engagement and advisory in the same offer
- Sector pages show target industries
- Phone number and imprint published on the site
Where EOR International falls short
