Contentsquare is the product to evaluate if you were thinking about Hotjar. The Contentsquare site says Hotjar is now part of it and that it is no longer possible to create a new account on Hotjar, so new users sign up on Contentsquare instead. The company's terms name Content Square SAS, 7 rue de Madrid in Paris, as the contracting party for customers outside the Americas.
The free plan is generous on volume: up to 200,000 monthly sessions, one project, and heatmaps, replays and funnels with one month of data access. Paid Growth plans start at $39 a month when billed yearly, and Pro and Enterprise are quoted.
Heatmaps and Replay
Every plan includes session replay and heatmaps. Growth adds zone-based heatmaps with engagement metrics, side-by-side comparison, a frustration score and AI summaries of single recordings, while Pro adds revenue metrics in zones and multi-session summaries.
Capture rates differ by plan according to the plan comparison: the Free plan captures 5% of sessions up to a cap of 10,000, Growth 15% (minimum 20,000), and Pro and Enterprise up to 100%.
After the Hotjar Merger
Hotjar order forms for customers outside the Americas name Content Square SAS, and the Contentsquare site compares a Hotjar free account (35 sessions a day, 20 survey responses a month) with the Contentsquare free plan (200,000 sessions a month, 100 survey responses).

Contracting Entity and Hosting
