Plausible Analytics vs Pirsch

Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia) and Pirsch (Emvi Software GmbH, Germany) are both cookie-free Google Analytics alternatives hosted in Germany. Plausible has the bigger name and a simple one-page dashboard; Pirsch packs more sites and unlimited team members into its entry plan. Plausible suits a single site, Pirsch suits many sites or agencies.

Where Plausible Analytics and Pirsch differ

Across the five points below, Plausible Analytics has the edge on 1 point, Pirsch on 2 points and 2 are a tie. A count like that is a summary, not a verdict: the point that matters to you may be the one the other product wins.

Entry plan limits

Plausible Starter covers one site, with up to 3 sites and 3 team members only from Growth. Pirsch Standard already allows 50 websites and unlimited members, with the same 10,000 monthly page view tier. For an agency or an owner of several small sites, Pirsch's entry plan gives more room before an upgrade is needed.

Edge: Pirsch

List prices

Plausible's pricing page showed Starter at $9 a month, Growth at $14 and Business at $19 for 10k pageviews; Pirsch showed Standard at $6 and Plus at $12 for 10k page views. Both pages pick the currency by visitor, so the euro amount can differ. Pirsch is cheaper on paper, but Plausible's tiers bundle different limits, so we call it a tie.

No clear winner on this point.

Hosting and legal entity

Plausible Insights OÜ is incorporated in Estonia (its privacy page names Tartu); data sits on servers in Falkenstein, Germany, run by European companies. Pirsch is run by Emvi Software GmbH in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, registered at the local court of Gütersloh (HRB 11575), with data on servers in Germany. Both keep visitor data in the EU.

No clear winner on this point.

Open source and self-hosting

Plausible says its code is public and auditable, and that you can run it yourself. Pirsch describes an open-source core, and lists on-premise installation only under its Enterprise plan on request. If self-hosting without a sales conversation matters, Plausible is the clearer option on the vendors' own pages.

Edge: Plausible Analytics

Advanced reports

Pirsch lists funnels, A/B testing, segmentation and custom themes from the Plus plan at $12, and a Google Search Console plugin and session analysis in Standard. Plausible puts funnels, custom properties and the Stats API into Business at $19, though its Starter already includes goals, segments and annotations. Pirsch offers more report types for less.

Edge: Pirsch

Plausible Analytics vs Pirsch: questions

On the pricing pages we read on 20 October 2026, Pirsch Standard showed $6 a month for 10,000 page views against $9 for Plausible Starter. Both choose the currency by visitor location, so check the euro price before you decide.

Both say they work without cookies. Plausible says it does not process personal data or track individual users; Pirsch says it never stores personally identifiable information. Whether you need a banner is a legal call for your own site.

Pirsch's homepage says you can import data from Plausible, Fathom or Google Analytics in a few clicks. Plausible lists a Google Analytics import in its Starter plan.

Plausible says visitor data is stored in Falkenstein, Germany, on infrastructure owned by European companies. Pirsch says all data is hosted on a server cluster in Germany.
