Brevo vs Mailjet
Brevo and Mailjet both run from Paris and both sell campaigns plus transactional email. Brevo, operated by Sendinblue SAS, adds SMS, WhatsApp, chat and a sales CRM to the same account. Mailjet, a Sinch Email brand, is narrower and leans on its email editor and API. Brevo wins on breadth; Mailjet wins on a plainly listed ladder of email-only plans.

Where Brevo and Mailjet differ
Across the five points below, Brevo has the edge on 2 points, Mailjet on 2 points and one is a tie. A count like that is a summary, not a verdict: the point that matters to you may be the one the other product wins.
Channels beyond email
Brevo's pricing page lists SMS, WhatsApp, web and mobile push, live chat, a chatbot and a Sales CRM next to email, and its Professional tier adds WhatsApp and pop-ups. Mailjet's pricing and menus describe email, landing pages and forms, with no SMS on its price list. For one inbox of customer messages, Brevo covers more.
Edge: Brevo
Pricing page transparency
Mailjet's pricing page shows every step: Free at $0 for 6,000 emails a month (200 a day), Starter $9, Essential $19, Premium $29, with 10% off annually. Brevo's server-rendered page names Free, Starter, Standard, Professional and Enterprise, but the amounts only load in the browser, so they could not be read here. Mailjet is easier to compare.
Edge: Mailjet
Automation and team seats
On Brevo, unlimited multi-step marketing automation and A/B testing arrive with the Standard plan, and Professional includes 10 seats. On Mailjet, automations, advanced statistics, team and account management and landing pages sit on the top public plan, Premium. Brevo reaches automation one step earlier; Mailjet puts teamwork on its highest listed tier.
Edge: Brevo
Hosting and ownership
Brevo's terms name Sendinblue SAS in Paris and list OVH in France and Google Cloud in Belgium as hosting, plus US sub-processors for services such as Cloudflare. Mailjet says its data sits in EU-only data centres, contracts through Mailjet SAS in Paris, and belongs to Sinch Email alongside Mailgun in Texas. Both are European, with different caveats.
No clear winner on this point.
Developers and sending API
Mailjet's menu puts the Email API, Parse API, SMTP relay, email validation and dedicated IP on equal footing with the editor, and its Free plan includes APIs, SMTP relay and webhooks. Brevo also offers transactional messaging over SMTP and API, but presents it as one capability among many. A developer-first sender may find Mailjet clearer.
Edge: Mailjet
When neither Brevo nor Mailjet fits
If neither fits, MailerLite from Ireland is a lighter newsletter tool, and CleverReach or Rapidmail suit German-speaking senders who want German hosting.
Brevo vs Mailjet: questions
Yes, on their own documents. Brevo's terms name Sendinblue SAS, registered in Paris, as the contracting company. Mailjet's terms name Mailjet SAS and Mailjet GmbH with French law and Paris courts, and its privacy notice places it in the Sinch group, whose parent is Sinch AB (publ).
Both. Brevo's pricing page offers a free plan with no credit card needed. Mailjet's Free plan costs $0 and allows 6,000 emails a month with a limit of 200 a day and up to 1,000 contacts.
Mailjet's data security page says data is stored in data centres located exclusively within the European Union, and lists ISO 27001, SOC 2 and PCI DSS among its certifications. Its group also includes US entities, so check which entity your contract names.
Yes. Brevo's pricing and menus list SMS and WhatsApp as channels, though the Starter plan page says SMS credit is sold separately. Mailjet's pricing page lists email plans only and does not price SMS.
