European Subscription Billing Tools

Subscription billing software turns plans, usage and contracts into invoices, payments and revenue figures. These European tools are built around EU VAT, SEPA direct debit and e-invoicing rules, and they contract with a European company, which keeps customer and revenue data under European jurisdiction.

How we rank these tools — 4-step process
  1. 1
    European ownership, verified

The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA or Switzerland, and processes customer data in Europe. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.

  2. 2
    Category fit and hands-on review

What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.

  3. 3
    Compliance and pricing check

GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.

  4. 4
    Position on this page

Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect the order tools appear in. It never buys a listing: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Paid placement can affect the order in which tools appear; it never affects whether a tool is listed. Editorial policy

Key takeaways

  • Frisbii ranks #1 because it is the only tool in this list that puts the billing engine, a payment gateway with more than 50 payment options and ZUGFeRD e-invoicing for Germany and France under one German vendor.
  • Hyperline, Solvimon and Younium are the three tools aimed at B2B and AI companies, but they split the work differently: Younium adds quotes and revenue recognition, Hyperline adds real-time metering and Mollie and Pennylane integrations, and Solvimon is built around metered pricing from the start.
  • Fakturia and Billsby publish how they charge, and the models are opposite: Fakturia takes 1.9 % or 2.4 % of monthly net revenue with no base fee, while Billsby charges USD 45 or USD 135 per month plus a percentage only on revenue above a threshold.
  • Cleeng and Cerillion are specialists rather than general billing tools, with Cleeng serving consumer media brands from Amsterdam and Cerillion serving telecom and large subscription operators from London, where it has been formed since 1999.
  • Odoo, easybill and Moneybird are not subscription engines at all: Odoo is an open-source ERP under LGPLv3, easybill is invoicing software with recurring documents from EUR 39 per month, and Moneybird is Dutch bookkeeping with recurring invoices, and all three fit a business whose subscriptions are simple.

European subscription billing software is the system a recurring-revenue company uses to price plans, issue invoices, collect payments, chase failed ones and in some cases recognise the revenue, supplied by a vendor established in Europe, which matters because the billing ledger holds every customer name, invoice and payment mandate and a European contracting party keeps that record under EU or at least adequacy-level law.

#1 Frisbii

Frankfurt am Main, Germany Starter, Growth and Enterprise tiers; no prices published, see website Demo on request

Best for: European SaaS and media companies that want billing and payments from one vendor

  • Operating company. Frisbii Germany GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Zuora, Chargebee, Recurly

Frisbii is the combined brand of Billwerk, plenigo and Sofacto, announced on the vendor site as a rebrand, and it covers plan management with add-ons, usage-based billing (tiered, volume, percentage), dunning, hosted checkout and signup pages, and revenue insights. What separates it from the other tools here is the payment gateway: more than 50 one-time and recurring payment options are listed, so the billing run and the collection sit with one supplier.

The website is operated by Frisbii Germany GmbH in Frankfurt (commercial register Frankfurt am Main, HRB 103534) and Frisbii Media GmbH in Kempten, and it is offered in English, German, Danish and French.

It lists ZUGFeRD e-invoices for Germany and France, e-invoice archiving, and PCI DSS, GDPR and SOC2 as security features. Pricing is Starter, Growth and Enterprise with no published prices, some payment items are marked coming soon, and older documentation may still use the Billwerk+ name. The data location is not stated on the pages checked.

What Frisbii does well

  • Billing and payment gateway in one product
  • Usage-based billing models listed
  • ZUGFeRD e-invoicing for Germany and France
  • Salesforce app available
  • German GmbH with a published commercial register entry

Where Frisbii falls short

  • No public prices
  • Features gated by tier
  • Brand merger can confuse older documentation
  • Data location not stated on pages checked

Standout feature. Frisbii is the only tool in this category that bundles the billing engine and a payment gateway with 50+ payment options under one German company.

#2 Younium

Stockholm, Sweden Not published, request a demo Demo on request

Best for: B2B software companies with quote-to-cash and revenue recognition needs

  • Operating company. Younium AB
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Sweden)
  • Where the data sits. EU customer data stored in Europe (US customer data in the US), per vendor
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Zuora, Chargebee, Maxio

Younium positions itself as one platform from contract to revenue, with CPQ quotes and approval workflows, deal-to-subscription automation, upgrades and renewals, usage tracking and a customer self-service area. Billing automation is followed by accounts receivable and revenue recognition, which is the chain a finance team at a B2B software company needs to close the month.

The agreement is with Younium AB in Stockholm, with disputes settled by arbitration at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce. The vendor lists more than 20 native integrations including HubSpot, Salesforce, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero and Stripe, plus an open API and an MCP offering, and states that EU customer data is stored within Europe. No prices are published and the /pricing page returned a 404 when checked, so cost comes through a demo. No payment gateway of its own is listed.

What Younium does well

  • Covers quote, billing and revenue recognition
  • EU data stored in Europe
  • 20+ native integrations
  • Swedish company with Swedish-law dispute forum
  • Self-service portal for customers

Where Younium falls short

  • No published pricing
  • B2B focus
  • Sales-led onboarding
  • No own payment gateway listed

Standout feature. Younium is the one tool here that takes a deal from CPQ quote through billing to revenue recognition in a single Swedish system.

#3 Fakturia

Sauerlach, Germany FLEX one: 1.9 % of monthly net revenue, no base fee; FLEX two: 2.4 %; Business Professional: EUR 139 per month incl. 500 active contracts Demo on request

Best for: German-speaking subscription businesses with flat plans

  • Operating company. Luminea IT Services GmbH (brand Fakturia)
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. TUEV-certified data centre in Nuremberg, Germany

Prorated upgrades and downgrades are listed.

The product belongs to Luminea IT Services GmbH (Amtsgericht Munich, HRB 233747), which says it was developed only in Germany, runs in a TUEV-certified data centre in Nuremberg and has no foreign investor influence. Those are vendor statements. The site mentions the German market since 2007.

DATEV export with deferral of income, Lexware export, ZUGFeRD and finAPI bank reconciliation suit German finance teams. Extra users cost EUR 25 per month, API calls beyond the quota EUR 0.004 each, and a switch from FLEX to the Business series is only possible after 36 months.

What Fakturia does well

  • Data centre in Nuremberg
  • DATEV and ZUGFeRD support
  • Self-service portal with cancellation button

Where Fakturia falls short

  • German-language site
  • 36-month lock before switching series
  • Per-user and per-API-call extras
  • Not built for metered usage

Standout feature. Fakturia is the only tool here with a no-base-fee plan priced as 1.9 % or 2.4 % of monthly net revenue, tied to a data centre in Nuremberg.

  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Zuora, Chargebee, Orb

Hyperline is a Paris-based billing and revenue platform for B2B and AI companies, covering subscriptions, usage-based and hybrid pricing, real-time metering fed by an events API, CPQ quotes with e-signature, dunning sequences, retries and reconciliation. Quotes flow straight into subscriptions, which shortens the step between a signed order and the first invoice.

The publisher is Hyperline, a French simplified joint-stock company registered in Paris under number 909 894 305, with terms governed by Paris courts. Integrations include Mollie, GoCardless, Exact Online and Pennylane next to Stripe, Salesforce and HubSpot.

Launch costs USD 299 per month plus 0.7 % of revenue processed, capped at USD 2M annual revenue and 100 active subscriptions, and usage-based pricing and revenue recognition start on Growth. Utrecht, Netherlands AI Essentials free for the first USD 3M, then 0.4 % of volume (qualification criteria apply); Growth from USD 2,500 per month Demo on request

  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source

Hosted and custom checkout are listed, with card, iDEAL and SEPA direct debit payments.

The general terms name SOLVIMON B.V., seated in Utrecht and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 86385879, and the site carries a page titled The EU alternative.

The company launched in 2011 and the privacy policy names Cleeng B.V., Reimersbeek 14, Amsterdam, with the customer agreement governed by Dutch law and arbitration in Amsterdam. Pro costs USD 0 up to 10,000 monthly subscribers and USD 0.39 per subscriber after that. #7 Cerillion

London, United Kingdom Founded 1999 On request Demo on request

Best for: Telecom and large subscription operators needing a full billing stack

  • Operating company. Cerillion Technologies Limited
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Zuora, Amdocs-style billing suites

Cerillion is a London vendor of billing and BSS/OSS software, with a wide portfolio of convergent charging, product catalogue, order management, mediation and interconnect settlement for mobile, fixed and cable operators. Skyline is its pre-packaged SaaS product for subscription businesses, automating billing, payments and renewal processes.

According to its company history, Cerillion was formed in October 1999 through a management buyout of the customer care and billing product division of Logica.

The company notice lists Cerillion Technologies Limited, registered in England No. 3849601, and the site refers to its AIM listing (AIM: CER). It cites about 70 customer installations worldwide and offers evergreen releases, managed services and support. Pricing is not published, projects involve implementation services, the hosting location is not stated, and as a UK company it is outside the EEA.

What Cerillion does well

  • Long-established vendor since 1999
  • Convergent billing depth
  • Skyline packaged SaaS
  • Managed services available
  • Listed company with public registration details

Where Cerillion falls short

  • Telecom-centred
  • No public pricing
  • Implementation projects
  • Hosting location not stated

Standout feature. Cerillion is the only tool here with a telecom-grade convergent billing suite behind its subscription product, from an AIM-listed British company.

#8 Odoo

Ramillies, Belgium Founded 2005 One free app / paid plans per user per month Demo on request

Best for: Companies that want recurring invoicing inside a self-hostable ERP

  • Operating company. Odoo S.A.
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Belgium)
  • Where the data sits. EU hosting (Odoo Online) or your own servers
  • Source code. Open source
  • Replaces. NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Sage

Odoo is an open-source ERP in which accounting, inventory, manufacturing, CRM, e-commerce, HR and point of sale are separate apps sharing one data model, so a company can start with one and grow into the rest. In this category it suits a business that wants recurring invoicing inside a wider ERP instead of a dedicated billing engine.

Odoo S.A. operates from Ramillies, Belgium, and the core is published under LGPLv3, so you can run it on your own servers or use EU hosting through Odoo Online.

Pricing is one free app, then paid plans per user per month, with a 15-day trial. The cost people forget is implementation: the demo looks effortless, but moulding the standard apps to a different way of working is project work, usually through a partner, and the difference between the free community edition and paid Enterprise features catches buyers out.

What Odoo does well

  • Open-source core under LGPLv3, fully self-hostable
  • One data model across accounting, stock, manufacturing, CRM and e-commerce
  • Belgian company, with EU hosting or your own servers
  • Free plan for a single app, then per-user monthly pricing
  • Large partner and module ecosystem

Where Odoo falls short

  • Implementation is a project, not a signup, once you go past the standard flows
  • The gap between the free community edition and paid Enterprise features catches people out
  • Module quality across the ecosystem is uneven

Standout feature. Odoo is the only vendor here where walking away from the supplier does not mean walking away from the software, because the LGPLv3 core runs on your own hardware.

#9 Billsby

London, United Kingdom Free to set up; Core USD 45/month + 0.4 % on revenue above USD 15,000/month; Pro USD 135/month + 0.5 % above USD 30,000/month Demo on request

Best for: Small and mid-sized subscription businesses

  • Operating company. Billsby Limited
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Chargebee, Recurly, Zuora

Billsby is UK subscription billing software with a free setup plan, which lets you build products, plans and cycles before going live. Pro-rated billing, unit and metered billing, add-ons and coupons are listed, and an integrated checkout can be added with a few lines of code. Pro adds multiple payment gateways, multiple tax regions and full API access.

Terms are issued by Billsby Limited, registered in the United Kingdom with its office on Theobalds Road in London, and the company describes itself as used by hundreds of companies worldwide.

Core costs USD 45 per month plus 0.4 % on revenue above USD 15,000 per month, and Pro USD 135 per month plus 0.5 % above USD 30,000 per month. QuickBooks sits on Core, FreeAgent and TaxJar on Pro, alongside ACH processing, which points at the UK and US markets. The pages checked state no data location, no revenue recognition module and no e-invoicing formats.

What Billsby does well

  • Free setup plan
  • Percentage charged only above a revenue threshold
  • Usage billing
  • Several payment gateways
  • Prices published

Where Billsby falls short

  • USD pricing
  • US-leaning integrations
  • No revenue recognition listed
  • Data location not stated

Standout feature. Billsby is the only tool here that lets you build the whole billing setup on a free plan and charges a percentage only on revenue above a monthly threshold.

#10 easybill

Kaarst, Germany Free (50 documents per month); Starter EUR 12/month (EUR 9 billed annually); Professional EUR 39/month (EUR 25 billed annually) Demo on request

Best for: Freelancers and small businesses with simple recurring invoices

  • Operating company. easybill GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Chargebee, Zuora (for small recurring invoicing)

easybill is German invoicing software rather than a full billing engine, with recurring invoicing for subscriptions as one function. It lists invoices and e-invoices, recurring documents, automatic dunning, payment links with Mollie, payment reconciliation, a DATEV connection, an API and an MCP connector.

The imprint lists easybill GmbH in Kaarst, registered at Amtsgericht Neuss, HRB 14336.

Prices are published: a permanent free plan with 50 documents per month, Starter at EUR 12 per month (EUR 9 billed annually) and Professional at EUR 39 per month (EUR 25 billed annually). Recurring documents are listed from the Professional plan together with unlimited customers. No metering, plan catalogue with add-ons or revenue recognition is listed, and the site checked is in German, so this is a tool for simple recurring invoices only.

What easybill does well

  • Permanent free plan
  • Published prices
  • E-invoicing
  • Mollie payment links
  • Dunning included

Where easybill falls short

  • Invoicing, not full billing
  • No metering or revenue recognition listed
  • Recurring only on Professional
  • German-language site

Standout feature. easybill is the only tool here with a permanently free plan of 50 documents per month plus e-invoicing and Mollie payment links.

#11 Moneybird

Enschede, Netherlands Founded 2008 Compact EUR 3 / Start EUR 15 / Groei EUR 29 / Compleet EUR 41 per month billed annually (EUR 4 / 18 / 35 / 49 billed monthly); no free plan; 60-day free trial Demo on request

Best for: Dutch freelancers and small businesses

  • Operating company. Moneybird BV
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Netherlands)
  • Where the data sits. Netherlands
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. QuickBooks, Exact Online, e-Boekhouden

Moneybird is Dutch invoicing and bookkeeping software for small businesses. Invoices carry the fields Dutch rules require, can be sent with an iDEAL payment link and chase themselves with automatic reminders, and recurring invoices handle retainers and subscriptions without monthly manual work. Bank feeds suggest matches against invoices, and the quarterly VAT return is prepared from the ledger.

The company is Moneybird BV in Enschede, hosts in the Netherlands, and lists plans of EUR 3, EUR 15, EUR 29 and EUR 41 per month billed annually (EUR 4, EUR 18, EUR 35 and EUR 49 billed monthly), with a 60-day free trial and no free plan.

A Belgian version exists alongside the Dutch one, but it does not serve businesses filing elsewhere. It has no inventory, project accounting or payroll, and there is no self-hosting, so a growing company will eventually need an ERP or a dedicated billing tool.

What Moneybird does well

  • Genuinely good design and usability
  • iDEAL payment links on invoices
  • Dutch VAT returns prepared automatically
  • Accountant access built in
  • Transparent, published pricing

Where Moneybird falls short

  • Netherlands and Belgium only
  • No inventory, projects or payroll
  • Growing businesses will outgrow it

Standout feature. Moneybird is the only tool here that prepares the Dutch quarterly VAT return from the same ledger that sends the recurring invoice.

How do I choose between European subscription billing tools?

Start with the shape of your pricing, because that decides the shortlist before any feature comparison. A flat monthly plan sold to German customers points at Fakturia or Frisbii. Pricing that depends on events, tokens or API calls points at Solvimon, Hyperline or Younium. A consumer streaming or publishing brand points at Cleeng. A telecom operator with an existing BSS landscape points at Cerillion.

The second filter is how much of the money flow you want one vendor to own. Frisbii lists a built-in payment gateway, so billing and collection sit in one contract. Fakturia connects to Stripe, Adyen, Unzer or PayPal. Solvimon is payment-provider agnostic and names Stripe, Adyen and Checkout.com. Younium lists no payment gateway of its own on the pages checked, so it expects you to bring one.

The third filter is the size of the organisation behind the invoice. A freelancer sending ten recurring invoices a month does not need Younium, and a software company with quotes, usage and revenue recognition will outgrow easybill within a quarter. Match the tool to the finance team you have, not the one you plan to hire.

How do the pricing models of these tools compare?

Four different models appear in this list. Fakturia and Solvimon charge a share of revenue or volume: Fakturia 1.9 % (FLEX one) or 2.4 % (FLEX two) of monthly net revenue with no base fee, Solvimon 0.4 % of volume after the first USD 3M on its AI Essentials plan, which carries qualification criteria. Hyperline combines a fee with a share: Launch is USD 299 per month plus 0.7 % of revenue processed, for up to USD 2M annual revenue.

Billsby sits between the two. Core is USD 45 per month and Pro USD 135 per month, and the percentage (0.4 % and 0.5 %) applies only to revenue above USD 15,000 and USD 30,000 per month respectively, so a small business pays little more than the flat fee. Cleeng prices by subscriber count: USD 0 up to 10,000 monthly subscribers on Pro, then USD 0.39 per subscriber.

The third model is a flat fee per tier, used by Fakturia Business Professional at EUR 139 per month including 500 active contracts, easybill at EUR 12 or EUR 39 per month, and Moneybird at EUR 3 to EUR 41 per month billed annually.

The fourth is no published price: Frisbii, Younium and Cerillion all route you to a demo, and Solvimon Growth starts at USD 2,500 per month. Compare on your own projected revenue, because a percentage model that is cheap at EUR 20,000 a month can be the largest line in the P&L at EUR 2M.

Does a European billing vendor keep my customer data in Europe?

Contracting with a European company and storing data in Europe are separate questions, and the pages checked answer the second one for only a few tools. Fakturia states a TUEV-certified data centre in Nuremberg. Younium states that EU customer data is stored within Europe and US customer data within the United States. Odoo offers EU hosting through Odoo Online or your own servers. Moneybird hosts in the Netherlands.

For Frisbii, Hyperline, Solvimon, Cleeng, Cerillion, Billsby and easybill the data location is not stated on the pages checked, so ask for it in writing before signing. Hyperline is a useful example: the company is a Paris SAS under Paris courts, but its website is hosted by Vercel in the US and the platform location is not stated.

Jurisdiction of the company is easier to read. Frisbii, Fakturia and easybill are German GmbHs, Hyperline is French, Younium is Swedish, Solvimon, Cleeng and Moneybird are Dutch, and Odoo is Belgian, all inside the EU. Cerillion and Billsby are British, which the EU treats under an adequacy decision but which sit outside the EEA. For payment data, also check which payment provider sits behind the checkout, because that is a second processor with its own location.

How hard is it to migrate away from Zuora or Chargebee?

The migration cost is mostly in the plans and the open subscriptions, not in the software. Every tool here that replaces Zuora or Chargebee, namely Frisbii, Younium, Fakturia, Hyperline, Solvimon, Cleeng and Billsby, needs your plan catalogue recreated, active subscriptions imported with their next billing date, and payment mandates or tokens moved from the old provider.

The tokens are the hard part. Card details usually stay with the payment provider rather than the billing vendor, so keeping Stripe or Adyen under the new tool avoids asking customers to re-enter cards. Solvimon, Fakturia and Hyperline all list Stripe, and Hyperline also lists GoCardless and Mollie for SEPA mandates. Frisbii replaces the gateway as well, which makes its migration the largest.

Run both systems in parallel for one billing cycle and compare the invoice totals. Fakturia warns that a switch from FLEX to its Business series is only possible after 36 months, a reminder to read lock-in terms before importing everything into any of these tools. Expect a sales-led project for Younium, Frisbii and Cerillion and a self-service import for Billsby, easybill and Moneybird.

When should I not switch to a European subscription billing tool?

Do not switch if your current setup works and the reason is only the logo of the vendor. Billing migration puts live revenue at risk, and if your US tool is already covered by a Data Privacy Framework certification and your legal team accepts that, the saving may not justify a quarter of engineering time.

Do not choose a tool that solves a different problem. Cerillion is telecom-centred and involves implementation projects. Cleeng is tuned for consumer media and fits B2B contract billing poorly. easybill has no metering, plan catalogue with add-ons or revenue recognition listed, and Moneybird has no inventory, projects or payroll. Odoo suits a company that wants an ERP, not one that wants only billing, and its implementation is a project once you leave the standard flows.

Also be careful with prices in US dollars. Hyperline, Solvimon, Cleeng and Billsby quote in USD, which adds a currency line to a European finance budget. If your customers pay in euros and your costs are in euros, Fakturia, easybill and Moneybird quote in EUR and remove that exposure.

Which integrations matter for a European finance stack?

Look for the accounting system first. Hyperline lists Exact Online and Pennylane next to Stripe, Salesforce and HubSpot. Younium lists NetSuite, QuickBooks and Xero among more than 20 native integrations, plus an open API. Fakturia offers DATEV export including deferral of income, Lexware export and finAPI bank reconciliation, which is what German accountants ask for.

Then check the e-invoicing format. Frisbii lists ZUGFeRD e-invoices for reporting to tax authorities in Germany and France plus e-invoice archiving, Fakturia lists ZUGFeRD too, and easybill lists e-invoices. Billsby lists QuickBooks, FreeAgent and TaxJar and its pages state no e-invoicing formats, which shows its US and UK orientation.

For payment methods, iDEAL and SEPA direct debit decide conversion in the Netherlands and Germany. Solvimon lists cards, iDEAL and SEPA direct debit, Moneybird adds iDEAL payment links on invoices, and easybill uses Mollie payment links.

How we selected and ranked these 11 tools

Every tool on this page is in the European Purpose directory, which means the operating company is established in Europe and we have verified that from the company register or the vendor's own legal notice rather than from a marketing page. Tools headquartered outside Europe are not eligible, however good they are.

  1. Feature verification (weight: 40%). We check each capability against the vendor's own documentation and product pages, and record what the tool does rather than what the category is assumed to include.
  2. Ease of adoption (weight: 30%). Integrations, published API access, trial availability and how much configuration stands between signing and a usable result.
  3. Value and transparency (weight: 30%). Published pricing counts in a vendor's favour; quote-only pricing is recorded as quote-only rather than estimated. We weigh what a buyer gets for the entry price, not the headline feature count.
  4. Editorial review. Every page is researched and drafted with AI assistance, and the compliance and pricing claims are checked against the vendor's documentation before it is published under the founder's editorial responsibility. The three weights above decide the order; a position is a ranking against the other European tools in this category, not an absolute score.

Vendor-reported outcomes — ROI figures, margin uplift, time saved — are labelled as vendor claims wherever they appear on this page. We have not audited them, and neither has anyone else who quotes them. Read our full editorial process for how pages are re-verified.

Frequently asked questions

Frisbii ranks first in this directory because it combines billing, a payment gateway and ZUGFeRD e-invoicing from one German vendor. Younium, Fakturia, Hyperline and Solvimon follow, each for a narrower case: B2B quote-to-cash, German flat plans, usage-based pricing and metered AI pricing. Which one is best for you depends on your pricing model and where your customers pay from.

Yes. Fakturia FLEX one charges 1.9 % of monthly net revenue with no base fee, and FLEX two charges 2.4 %. Billsby is free to set up, and Solvimon AI Essentials is free for the first USD 3M of volume for qualifying companies. Cleeng Pro is USD 0 up to 10,000 monthly subscribers.

Solvimon is built around metering and usage-based pricing, and Hyperline lists usage-based and hybrid pricing with real-time metering from its Growth plan. Frisbii lists usage-based billing models (tiered, volume, percentage), and Billsby lists unit and usage billing. Fakturia says usage-based metering is not a focus.

Cerillion and Billsby are both British companies, with Cerillion registered in England under No. 3849601 and Billsby Limited based in London. The UK is covered by an EU adequacy decision for personal data but is outside the EEA. All other tools here are established in the EU.

Yes, and easybill and Moneybird are built for it. easybill has a permanent free plan with 50 documents per month, with recurring documents on Professional at EUR 39 per month. Moneybird starts at EUR 3 per month billed annually and has a 60-day free trial. Both cover invoicing, not metering or revenue recognition.
