sipgate.io is the developer add-on to sipgate's German business telephony, and it is scoped narrowly on purpose: a REST API and webhooks for call control, SMS and fax, plus a Push API for real-time call events.

It is not a standalone CPaaS signup — sipgate.io requires an existing sipgate phone account, so this fits a team already using sipgate's cloud telephony and wanting to script around it, not a greenfield SMS or voice integration for an application with no telephony behind it.

Pricing follows the same webhook-call model as the rest of sipgate: a free S plan bundles 100 webhook calls before 4.9 cents each, M and L plans buy cheaper per-call rates for €4.95 and €29.95 a month, and an XL tier with 10,000 included calls is custom. SMS on top costs 9.9 cents net per 160-character message. That is unusually granular pricing for this category, published in full rather than summarised as "pay-as-you-go".

sipgate GmbH is based in Düsseldorf and processes under German data protection law, with no transfer mechanism to document for EU customers. The trade-off against Infobip, Sinch or Mitto is scope: no WhatsApp, RCS or omnichannel messaging, and no platform layer above the API — this is telephony infrastructure for a team that already has a sipgate number and wants to build call and SMS logic around it.
