Our review
The terms say Bookinglayer is the trade name of TimTim BV, established at Stationsweg 23, 9671 AM in Winschoten, the Netherlands, registered with chamber of commerce number 34358043. VAT depends on the customer's location: customers elsewhere in Europe with a valid VAT number are exempt.
The About page says the founder saw the problem in 2014 at a friend's surf camp, where accommodation and activities ran in separate systems. The company describes itself as fully remote.
One flow for stay and activity
The product menu lists a booking engine that sells accommodation and activities together, a customer portal where guests pay, plan, sign waivers and add extras, payments with deposits and instalments, and a backoffice with reports. Add-ons are switched on as needed.
Fixed monthly fee
Bookinglayer says every plan includes the full platform and that the fee is configured in a demo call. Two illustrations are given: €260 a month for a yoga retreat with 1 location and 15 beds, and €410 a month for 2 locations and 53 beds. There is no annual commitment.
Compared with FareHarbor
FareHarbor is built for day tours, rentals and attractions with online booking, point of sale and agent sales. Bookinglayer focuses on operators where a guest stays several nights. Without beds or rooms to sell, its main advantage falls away, and it shows no OTA channel manager in the pages we read.
Where it falls short
The price cannot be calculated without a demo call. The text we read names no channel manager and no point of sale. Day-tour operators will find the accommodation focus unnecessary.
Best suited to users of Bookinglayer
Retreats, surf camps and multi-day adventure businesses. Operators of single-day tours should compare TrekkSoft or TuriTop.
