European Product Reviews Software

Product review software sends the invitation after a purchase, checks that the reviewer really ordered, and prints the stars on your product pages and in Google. The customer's name, email address and order contents pass through it, so the vendor's legal entity matters. The tools below contract through companies registered in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Poland, Norway and Denmark.

How we rank these tools — 4-step process
  1. 1
    European ownership, verified

The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA, the UK, Switzerland or Israel, and processes customer data in Europe or Israel. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.

  2. 2
    Category fit and hands-on review

What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.

  3. 3
    Compliance and pricing check

GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.

  4. 4
    Position on this page

Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect the order tools appear in. It never buys a listing: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Paid placement can affect the order in which tools appear; it never affects whether a tool is listed. Editorial policy

Key takeaways

  • Judge.me ranks first among the European product reviews tools in this directory because Judge.me Ltd in London lists unlimited product and store reviews on a free plan and caps its only paid plan at $15 a month.
  • Trusted Shops GmbH in Cologne is the only vendor here that bundles a trustmark and buyer protection insurance with order-linked reviews, and it states that more than 30,000 companies in eleven European countries use its services.
  • Lipscore AS in Oslo and TrustMate S.A. in Wroclaw are the two specialists that build around collection rates, one with named case studies and review import, the other with long SEO-oriented reviews and a reputation manager.
  • Trustpilot A/S, Feefo Holdings Limited and eKomi Holding GmbH differ most on control: Trustpilot runs an open public profile, Feefo ties every review to a transaction, and eKomi adds manual checks by its own team.
  • Only two vendors here state where review data is hosted: TrustMate says AWS data centres in Europe in its privacy policy, and ShopVote (Blickreif GmbH, Munich) lists German hosting in its feature table.

European product reviews software is the service that invites a shopper to rate a purchase after the order, checks that the reviewer really bought, and publishes the stars on product pages and in Google, built by a company contracting from the EU, the EEA or the UK, which matters because the customer's name, email address and order contents pass through it.

#1 Judge.me

London, United Kingdom Founded 2019 Free plan; Awesome plan $15 per month (USD, per the pricing page) Demo on request

Best for: Shopify stores that want product reviews without volume-based pricing

  • Operating company. Judge.me Ltd
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages reviewed
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Yotpo, Loox, Okendo

Judge.me is a product and store reviews app for Shopify that prices reviews like a utility: its free plan lists unlimited product and store reviews, unlimited photo and video reviews, Google rich snippets and chat and email support, and the only paid plan is $15 a month.

The widget catalogue spans a star badge, cards and testimonial carousels, a video carousel, a reviews grid and an Instagram shopping view, and reviews can be syndicated to Google Shopping, TikTok Shop, Meta Shop and the Shop app.

The contracting party is Judge.me Ltd, c/o Buckworths in London, company number 12157706 at Companies House, incorporated in 2019. The privacy policy names the UK Information Commissioner's Office as the complaint route, which puts the vendor outside the EEA under the UK adequacy decision. According to the vendor, the pricing page lists SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001, and auto-translation covers 38 languages. Where the data is hosted is not stated on the pages we read.

What Judge.me does well

  • Free plan with unlimited product and store reviews
  • One paid plan, capped at $15 a month
  • Photo and video reviews included
  • Auto-translation across 38 languages
  • SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 listed

Where Judge.me falls short

  • Built for Shopify
  • Hosting region not stated on the pages reviewed
  • No trustmark or buyer protection
  • Prices in US dollars

Standout feature. Judge.me is the only tool in this category whose entire price list is a free plan with unlimited reviews and one $15 plan.

#2 Trusted Shops

Cologne, Germany Per shop/month by order volume, published tiers Demo on request

Best for: Shops selling into Germany and Austria that want reviews, a trustmark and buyer protection from one vendor

  • Operating company. Trusted Shops GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Reviews.io, Yotpo

Trusted Shops sells reviews as the smaller half of a larger product: the trustmark and its bundled buyer protection insurance are what German and Austrian shoppers recognise, and order-linked review invitations ride alongside. Most competitors in this category sell either a badge or a review widget, and Trusted Shops sells both with insurance behind them. Pricing is published in tiers, charged per shop per month by order volume.

The operator is Trusted Shops GmbH in Cologne, Germany, which places it under German law and GDPR by default.

The company describes itself as Europe's leading trust brand and, according to the vendor, more than 30,000 companies use its solutions across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Portugal, Poland and the UK. The founding year is not stated by the vendor. The cost rises with volume, and the buyer protection add-on tends to return as an upsell at renewal.

What Trusted Shops does well

  • Published tiered pricing by order volume
  • Trustmark recognised by German and Austrian shoppers
  • Buyer protection insurance bundled with reviews
  • 30,000+ companies across 11 European countries
  • Order-linked invitations only

Where Trusted Shops falls short

  • Cost rises with order volume
  • Badge recognition drops outside German-speaking markets
  • Buyer protection is a frequent upsell at renewal
  • No free tier stated

Standout feature. Trusted Shops pairs order-linked reviews with buyer protection insurance, a combination no other vendor here sells.

#3 Lipscore

Oslo, Norway Founded 2014 Custom pricing; no fixed packages on the pricing page Demo on request

Best for: Retailers that want a high rating response rate and product-level analytics

  • Operating company. Lipscore AS
  • Jurisdiction. EEA, not EU (Norway)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated; the privacy policy allows storage in any country where Lipscore operates
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Yotpo, Bazaarvoice, Trustpilot product reviews

Lipscore is a ratings and reviews platform from Oslo that concentrates on one number, the share of customers who answer the invitation. Its case studies quote a 27.8 percent response rate for GANT and a rise from 2.5 to 13.6 percent for Bagbrokers, which are vendor figures chosen for the page. Product reviews come with branded email invitations, widgets, filtering, commenting and AI moderation, and stars in Google organic results and Google Ads are listed as additional features.

The controller is Lipscore AS, Nedre Slottsgate 15, Oslo, and the company began in 2014. Norway is in the EEA, so the entity qualifies, but the privacy policy says data may be processed in any country where Lipscore operates, which is worth a written question in procurement. Prices are quoted per customer. Service reviews, store widgets, SMS and in-store invitations, a Q&A widget and an analytics module showing the top and bottom 100 products are separate add-ons.

What Lipscore does well

  • Strong focus on response rate with named case studies
  • Product, service and in-store reviews
  • Review import from a previous provider
  • Google stars in organic results and Ads
  • Analytics for top and bottom products

Where Lipscore falls short

  • No published prices
  • Data location not specified
  • Heavier to set up than a free app
  • Local offices and regional entities not verified

Standout feature. Lipscore is the one tool here that lists review import from a previous provider and publishes a comparison page for brands leaving Yotpo, Trustpilot and Judge.me.

#4 Trustpilot

Copenhagen, Denmark Founded 2007 Free tier; paid plans largely quoted per domain Demo on request

Best for: Brands whose shoppers already look them up on Trustpilot before they buy

  • Operating company. Trustpilot A/S
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Denmark)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Yotpo, Birdeye, Reviews.io

Trustpilot is the review platform consumers search for by name, and that is a different asset from a widget on your own site: the profile carries trust whether or not a shopper ever visits your homepage. A free tier lets a business claim its profile and reply to reviews, and paid Plus, Premium and higher tiers add invitation automation, analytics, integrations and product review pages for each SKU. Any customer can leave a review, not only those you invite.

The company is Trustpilot A/S, CVR 30 27 65 82, registered at Pilestraede 58 in Copenhagen and founded in Denmark in 2007; the tool page notes that it is traded on the London Stock Exchange. A separate US entity, Trustpilot Inc, serves customers in the US, Canada and Mexico. Paid prices above the free tier are mostly quoted per domain, you cannot restrict invitations to your happiest customers, and negative reviews are hard to remove by design.

What Trustpilot does well

  • Best-known consumer review brand in Europe
  • Free tier for claiming a profile and replying
  • Open profile that consumers search directly
  • Strict policy against fake and incentivised reviews
  • Danish company with a CVR number and Copenhagen address

Where Trustpilot falls short

  • Paid plans are largely quote-only
  • You cannot restrict invitations to chosen customers
  • Negative reviews are hard to remove
  • A separate US entity serves US, Canadian and Mexican customers

Standout feature. Trustpilot is the only tool here whose reviews sit on a public profile that consumers search for directly, outside the seller's own site.

#5 Feefo

Petersfield, Hampshire, United Kingdom Essentials from GBP 149 per month with 200 email requests, Enhanced from GBP 299 per month with 500 email requests, Plus on request; all plus VAT Demo on request

Best for: Retailers in the UK or selling to it that want verified-transaction reviews, WhatsApp and SMS collection and published sterling prices

  • Operating company. Feefo Holdings Limited
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Trustpilot, Yotpo, Reviews.io

Feefo ties every review to a verified customer, collected by email, WhatsApp or SMS after a transaction, and uses that as the line between itself and open-profile platforms. Prices are published: Essentials from GBP 149 a month with 200 email requests, 50 WhatsApp and 50 SMS requests, and Enhanced from GBP 299 with 500 email requests plus NPS, custom surveys and A/B testing, with Plus on request. All plans include Google Seller Ratings, rich snippets and AI summaries.

The operator is Feefo Holdings Limited, registered in England and Wales under number 07191962 with its registered office near Petersfield, Hampshire. By its own count it has collected more than 80 million reviews for 6,500 brands, and it supports email collection in 34 languages. It sits outside the EEA under the UK adequacy decision, request volumes are capped per plan, and a buyer with EEA-only procurement rules should check the data processing location and sub-processors in the contract.

What Feefo does well

  • Published GBP prices for two tiers
  • Reviews tied to verified transactions
  • Email, WhatsApp and SMS collection
  • Google Seller Ratings and rich snippets included
  • UK company traceable in Companies House

Where Feefo falls short

  • UK vendor, outside the EEA
  • Request volumes are capped per plan
  • Plus tier is quote-only
  • No free tier stated

Standout feature. Feefo is the only tool here that publishes sterling prices and includes WhatsApp and SMS collection in the base plans.

#6 Kiyoh

Zaltbommel, Netherlands Per month by invitation volume, published Demo on request

Best for: Dutch and Belgian webshops that want a recognised seal and a predictable monthly price

  • Operating company. Kiyoh B.V.
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Netherlands)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Reviews.io, Yotpo

Kiyoh is a Dutch review platform that holds a position in the Benelux comparable to Trustpilot's internationally, scoped to one region and priced lower. Invitations are tied to real orders, which is easy to explain to a regulator, and pricing is published by invitation volume, so a shop can budget without a sales call. The vendor calls itself the most reliable review platform in the Netherlands, which is its own description.

The company is Kiyoh B.V., registered at Steenweg 79, 5301 HK in Zaltbommel, Netherlands, and the founding year is not stated by the vendor. The trade-off appears when a shop sells across borders: a Kiyoh seal means little to a French, German or Nordic shopper, the interface reads as dated, and reporting is thinner than in multi-location suites. No free tier is stated.

What Kiyoh does well

  • Published pricing by invitation volume
  • Order-linked invitations are simple to explain to a regulator
  • Recognised seal in the Netherlands and Belgium
  • Dutch B.V. with a named registered address

Where Kiyoh falls short

  • Little recognition outside the Benelux and Germany
  • Interface reads as dated
  • Limited reporting depth next to multi-location suites
  • No free tier stated

Standout feature. Kiyoh is the one tool here that combines order-linked invitations with a published price in the region where its seal is already known.

#7 eKomi

Berlin, Germany Quoted on request; no published pricing Demo on request

Best for: Larger shops that want a vendor team to verify reviews by hand and to handle disputes

  • Operating company. eKomi Holding GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Yotpo, Reviews.io

eKomi collects company and product reviews with star ratings, feeds Google Seller Ratings directly, and adds a step most automated platforms skip: manual verification of reviews by its own team rather than filtering alone. The product also includes embedded review widgets, a real-time analytics dashboard, social distribution of reviews and dispute tools for negative feedback. According to the vendor, it has more than 15,000 clients in 26 countries and has collected over 50.2 million reviews.

The entity is eKomi Holding GmbH, registered at Zimmerstrasse 11 in Berlin, with a second office in Beverly Hills, California, so ask which company signs your contract. No pricing is published and every plan is reached through a demo call. No ISO or TUV certificate is disclosed beyond GDPR compliance, and the interface reads as dated. The founding year is not stated by the vendor.

What eKomi does well

  • 15,000+ clients and 50.2 million reviews collected
  • Official Google Seller Ratings integration
  • Manual verification by eKomi’s own team
  • Dispute tools for negative feedback

Where eKomi falls short

  • No published pricing, demo required
  • No ISO or TUV certificate disclosed
  • Interface reads as dated
  • Keeps a US office alongside the Berlin headquarters

Standout feature. eKomi is the only vendor here that names a human verification step by its own team on top of automated filtering.

#8 TrustMate

Wroclaw, Poland From 32 PLN per month (50 invitations); 122 PLN per month and 491 PLN per month tiers (pricing page, in Polish) Demo on request

Best for: Online shops, especially in Poland, that want reviews as search content

  • Operating company. TrustMate S.A.
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Poland)
  • Where the data sits. AWS data centres in Europe, per the privacy policy
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Yotpo, Trustpilot, Opineo

TrustMate sells a review collection system that sends invitations automatically and shows the results in widgets or through an API. Its English pages treat reviews as search content, and a plan feature called SEO Rocket fills the widgets with longer customer reviews. An instant review form can sit on the order confirmation page, customers can add photos and film, and shoppers can ask product questions that the merchant answers.

The controller is TrustMate S.A., with a Wroclaw address and KRS 0000737597; the founding year was not verified. Its privacy policy states that data is processed only in Amazon Web Services data centres in Europe.

Plans on the Polish pricing page run from 32 PLN a month for 50 invitations to 491 PLN a month for 2,000, with 18 percent off for annual payment, and BaseLinker is a named integration. A reputation manager decides what share of customers is invited to TrustMate, Google or social media.

What TrustMate does well

  • Published monthly prices
  • Reputation manager splits invitations across platforms
  • Product questions and photo or video collection
  • EU-based processing stated in the privacy policy
  • API for custom display

Where TrustMate falls short

  • Polish-first pricing page
  • Entry plan limited to 50 invitations
  • Founding year not verified
  • Smaller international footprint

Standout feature. TrustMate is the one tool here with a reputation manager that splits invitations between its own profile, Google and social media.

#9 Trustami

Berlin, Germany Free profile; Basic from EUR 19.99, Pro from EUR 49.99, Pro Plus from EUR 149.99, Enterprise from EUR 299.99 per month Demo on request

Best for: German-language shops that want one profile for all their reviews and a trust seal

  • Operating company. Trustami GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages reviewed
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Yotpo, Trusted Shops, Trustpilot

Trustami starts from the reviews a company already has. A free profile imports unlimited ratings from unlimited platforms into one page where you can reply to them, and paid plans add a trust seal, Google stars from Pro and a more frequent review update. Product reviews appear only on Pro Plus, the fourth of five tiers, together with up to five domains, a Trustami award, review insurance and alerts. Enterprise adds an API, review translation and multi-account management.

The imprint names Trustami GmbH, Friedrich-Wilhelm-Strasse 68, Berlin, registered at Amtsgericht Charlottenburg under HRB 167962. All five tiers show a starting price, from EUR 19.99 for Basic to EUR 299.99 for Enterprise, and the free tier is a real tier rather than a trial. Product reviews therefore cost at least EUR 149.99 a month, the site is German-first, and the hosting region and founding year were not verified.

What Trustami does well

  • Free profile tier
  • Published prices for every tier
  • Imports reviews from unlimited platforms
  • Google stars from the Pro plan
  • German GmbH with register number

Where Trustami falls short

  • Product reviews only from EUR 149.99
  • German-first site
  • Hosting region not stated
  • Aggregation focus rather than invitation workflows

Standout feature. Trustami is the only tool here that imports ratings from unlimited outside platforms into one profile you can answer from.

#10 ShopVote

Munich, Germany Founded 2007 Shop reviews free; All-Inclusive premium package EUR 199 per year; product reviews from EUR 35.90 per month (excl. VAT) Demo on request

Best for: German-speaking shops that want free shop reviews and optional product reviews

  • Operating company. Blickreif GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. German hosting, per the feature table
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Yotpo, Trusted Shops reviews, Trustpilot

ShopVote has run since 2007 and says its basic functions are free so that it can stay independent of paying customers. Shop reviews have no monthly limit, are passed to Google and appear on a public profile. Reviews can be verified through email addresses and order or customer numbers, checked automatically and flagged by users, and seals in bronze, silver and gold depend on review count and score rather than on what a shop pays.

The imprint names Blickreif GmbH, Schulstrasse 46, Munich, Amtsgericht Muenchen HRB 179973, and the feature table lists German hosting. Product reviews are a premium add-on from EUR 35.90 a month excluding VAT, and the All-Inclusive package for shop review extras costs EUR 199 a year. The interface is German-first, and because of the portal model the reviews live on ShopVote's profile as well as in your shop.

What ShopVote does well

  • Shop reviews free without limits
  • Munich company with HRB number
  • German hosting listed
  • Verification by email and order number
  • Published add-on prices

Where ShopVote falls short

  • Product reviews cost extra
  • German-first interface
  • Profile-centric portal model
  • Premium packages priced per year and per add-on

Standout feature. ShopVote is the only vendor here that has kept shop reviews free since 2007 and sells product reviews as a separate add-on.

#11 WebwinkelKeur

Enschede, Netherlands Start EUR 12, Plus from EUR 18, Pro from EUR 33 per month excl. VAT; first year 25 percent off (pricing page) Demo on request

Best for: Small Dutch webshops that want a trustmark, legal templates and reviews together

  • Operating company. WebwinkelKeur B.V.
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Netherlands)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages reviewed
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Yotpo, Kiyoh, Trusted Shops

WebwinkelKeur is a trustmark first and a review tool second. The Start plan covers the trustmark, a member profile, automatic review invitations through the shop software, a review widget and legal documents such as terms and a privacy statement. Plus makes the widget customisable and lets you forward part of the invitations to Google and Trustpilot, and Pro adds multilingual invitations and an international profile on Valued Shops. Mediation for negative reviews and legal advice come with every plan.

The imprint names WebwinkelKeur B.V., Moutlaan 32 in Enschede, KvK 53020162. Prices on the packages page are in euros excluding VAT: Start EUR 12, Plus from EUR 18 and Pro from EUR 33 a month, with 25 percent off in the first year. Product reviews are a paid option on every plan and the page gives no price for them. Up to five webshops fit in one account, and the hosting region and founding year were not verified.

What WebwinkelKeur does well

  • Cheap entry plan
  • Legal documents and mediation included
  • Up to five shops per account
  • Multi-platform review requests
  • Registered Dutch company with KvK number

Where WebwinkelKeur falls short

  • Product reviews are a paid option with unlisted price
  • Dutch market focus
  • Trust mark matters more than review depth
  • Hosting region not stated

Standout feature. WebwinkelKeur is the only tool here that includes legal document templates and complaint mediation in its base price.

How do I choose between the European product reviews tools?

Start with the platform and the market, because they remove most of the list. Judge.me is built around Shopify, so a WooCommerce or Magento shop starts elsewhere. Kiyoh and WebwinkelKeur are Dutch, Trusted Shops and ShopVote lean German, TrustMate is Polish-first and Lipscore is strongest in the Nordics. Feefo is a UK vendor with published sterling prices.

Then decide whether you want a review widget or a trust brand. Judge.me, Lipscore and TrustMate sell the widget and the collection flow. Trusted Shops, WebwinkelKeur and Kiyoh sell a seal that shoppers recognise in their own country. Trustpilot sells a public profile that consumers look up by name, which you can use but cannot fully steer.

Last, check what the product review part actually costs. At Trustami product reviews begin on the Pro Plus plan at EUR 149.99 a month, at ShopVote they are an add-on from EUR 35.90 a month, and at WebwinkelKeur they are a paid option without a listed price. The headline price of a seal is not the price of product reviews.

What do European product reviews tools cost, and what do they charge for?

The units differ, which makes a straight comparison misleading. Judge.me charges nothing on its free plan and $15 a month on the Awesome plan. TrustMate bills by invitations, from 32 PLN a month for 50, through 122 PLN for 250 or 600, to 491 PLN for 2,000, with 18 percent off for annual payment. Feefo bills by requests, from GBP 149 a month with 200 email requests to GBP 299 with 500, plus VAT.

WebwinkelKeur lists Start at EUR 12, Plus from EUR 18 and Pro from EUR 33 a month excluding VAT, with 25 percent off in the first year. ShopVote keeps shop reviews free, sells an All-Inclusive package at EUR 199 a year and charges product reviews separately. Trustami runs five tiers from a free profile to EUR 299.99 a month.

Three vendors do not publish a price you can budget from: Lipscore quotes per customer, eKomi quotes after a demo, and Trustpilot quotes most paid plans per domain. Trusted Shops and Kiyoh publish tiers by order or invitation volume, so you still need your own volume to get a number. Ask each vendor for the cost at your actual order and invitation count before you compare.

Where are the reviews and customer data processed, and does the vendor's country matter?

The country of the contracting company decides which law and which supervisory authority apply. Trusted Shops GmbH, eKomi Holding GmbH, Trustami GmbH and Blickreif GmbH are German, Kiyoh B.V. and WebwinkelKeur B.V. are Dutch, TrustMate S.A. is Polish, Trustpilot A/S is Danish and Lipscore AS is Norwegian, so EU law or the EEA applies to them directly. Judge.me Ltd and Feefo Holdings Limited are UK companies, which sit outside the EEA under the UK adequacy decision.

Hosting is a separate question and most of these vendors do not answer it. TrustMate says its privacy policy limits processing to AWS data centres in Europe, and ShopVote lists German hosting.

Judge.me, Lipscore, Trustami and WebwinkelKeur do not state a hosting region on the pages we reviewed, and Lipscore's privacy policy allows processing in any country where it operates. eKomi keeps a US office next to its Berlin headquarters, and Trustpilot uses a separate US entity, Trustpilot Inc, for customers in the US, Canada and Mexico.

For a procurement file, ask three things: which legal entity signs, where reviews are stored, and which sub-processors sit behind them. A written answer is worth more than a flag on a website.

How do I move from Yotpo to a European tool without losing my reviews?

Treat the archive as the asset. Yotpo's own pricing page says that switching to Yotpo does not mean losing your reviews, which tells you the import side is normal industry practice. Your task is the export side: ask Yotpo for ratings, texts, photos, dates and order references, and confirm that the new tool accepts the file before you cancel.

Lipscore lists review import from a previous provider among its core features and publishes a page for brands leaving Yotpo, Trustpilot and Judge.me, so it is the least uncertain landing place. For the other tools, put the import question in writing before you sign. Run the new widget on a few products first, check that Google picks up the star markup, then switch the rest, because the stars disappear the day the old script is removed.

Expect response rates to dip for a few weeks, since the invitation now comes from a new sender with a new template. Keep the old tool running until the new one has sent a full round of invitations.

When should I not switch to a European alternative?

Stay where you are when reviews are only part of what you buy. Yotpo bundles reviews with loyalty, referral and SMS programs, and none of the tools in this directory replaces the loyalty side. Judge.me lists referrals and coupons, Lipscore lists SMS invitations, but neither is a loyalty platform. If your points program runs on the same vendor, move the reviews only after you have a plan for the rest.

Do not switch purely for jurisdiction if the new vendor cannot answer the hosting question either. Judge.me, Feefo, Lipscore and Trustami are credible companies with traceable registrations, yet none states a European data location on the pages we read. A UK or Norwegian contract is not an EU data centre.

And do not buy a seal when you need product reviews. WebwinkelKeur and Trustami are strong on the trust mark and profile, and both charge extra for product-level reviews. If your goal is stars on SKUs, check the product review plan first.

How do I get Google stars from a European reviews tool?

Google stars come from structured data on the product page, so the question is which plan emits it. Judge.me lists Google rich snippets on its free plan. Lipscore lists stars in Google organic results and Google Ads as an additional feature. Kiyoh and ShopVote describe themselves as Google Shopping review partners, Trustami adds Google stars from the Pro plan, and TrustMate's widgets emit the structured data Google reads for star ratings.

Feefo includes Google Seller Ratings and rich snippets in all plans, and eKomi feeds Google Seller Ratings directly. Seller ratings are about the shop as a whole, product stars are about each item, and a store that sells many SKUs wants both. Check the markup in Google's rich result test after installing any widget, because a widget loaded late by script is not always read.

How we selected and ranked these 11 tools

Every tool on this page is in the European Purpose directory, which means the operating company is established in Europe and we have verified that from the company register or the vendor's own legal notice rather than from a marketing page. Tools headquartered outside Europe are not eligible, however good they are.

  1. Feature verification (weight: 40%). We check each capability against the vendor's own documentation and product pages, and record what the tool does rather than what the category is assumed to include.
  2. Ease of adoption (weight: 30%). Integrations, published API access, trial availability and how much configuration stands between signing and a usable result.
  3. Value and transparency (weight: 30%). Published pricing counts in a vendor's favour; quote-only pricing is recorded as quote-only rather than estimated. We weigh what a buyer gets for the entry price, not the headline feature count.
  4. Editorial review. Every page is researched and drafted with AI assistance, and the compliance and pricing claims are checked against the vendor's documentation before it is published under the founder's editorial responsibility. The three weights above decide the order; a position is a ranking against the other European tools in this category, not an absolute score.

Vendor-reported outcomes — ROI figures, margin uplift, time saved — are labelled as vendor claims wherever they appear on this page. We have not audited them, and neither has anyone else who quotes them. Read our full editorial process for how pages are re-verified.

Frequently asked questions

Judge.me holds #1 among the European product reviews tools in this directory, because Judge.me Ltd offers unlimited product and store reviews on a free plan and one paid plan at $15 a month. The right pick depends on the shop: Trusted Shops for a trustmark with buyer protection, Lipscore for response-rate tracking and review import, Kiyoh or WebwinkelKeur for Dutch webshops, Feefo for verified transactions with WhatsApp collection, and TrustMate for Polish shops that want long reviews as search content.

Yes, eleven are listed here. Judge.me in London is the closest on product reviews for Shopify and costs a fraction of Yotpo's $89 a month Starter plan. Lipscore in Oslo describes a path for brands leaving Yotpo and imports reviews from a previous provider. Trusted Shops in Cologne, Kiyoh in Zaltbommel and Trustami in Berlin are EU companies that add a seal or a profile. None replaces Yotpo's loyalty and SMS products.

Judge.me has a free plan with unlimited product and store reviews, photo and video reviews and Google rich snippets. ShopVote collects shop reviews at no charge, but its product reviews cost from EUR 35.90 a month excluding VAT. Trustami has a free profile that bundles existing ratings and replies, and Trustpilot has a free tier for claiming a profile and responding to reviews. Product reviews on Trustami start at EUR 149.99 a month.

Trusted Shops, Kiyoh and Feefo tie invitations to orders or transactions, and ShopVote verifies reviews through email addresses and order or customer numbers. eKomi adds manual verification by its own team. Trustpilot is the exception, because its profile is open and anyone can write a review. Ask any vendor how it treats manual invitations, since those are where verification is weakest.

TrustMate S.A. says in its privacy policy that data is processed only in Amazon Web Services data centres located in Europe, and ShopVote lists German hosting in its feature table. Judge.me, Lipscore, Trustami and WebwinkelKeur do not state a hosting region on the pages we reviewed. Lipscore's privacy policy goes further and allows processing in any country where it operates.

WebwinkelKeur B.V. in Enschede starts at EUR 12 a month excluding VAT and includes a trustmark, legal documents and complaint mediation, but product reviews are a paid option. Kiyoh B.V. in Zaltbommel is the larger Dutch review specialist, with order-linked invitations and a seal recognised in the Netherlands and Belgium. A Shopify store may still prefer Judge.me for its flat price.
