European Alternatives to ReferralCandy

Looking for a European alternative to ReferralCandy? ReferralCandy is run by Anafore Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore (UEN 200903073C), and its terms are governed by Singapore law with the courts of Singapore as exclusive forum. Its pricing page lists Basic at $39 a month plus a 10.5% success fee, Grow at $79 plus 3.5%, Scale at $249 plus 1.5% and Enterprise at $799 plus 0.25%.

The European tools below range from referral specialists such as Mention Me, Cello and Buyapowa to LoyaltyLion, Loyoly and Voucherify, which add loyalty or coupons, and Tapfiliate, which adds affiliates.

How we rank these tools — 4-step process
  1. 1
    European ownership, verified

The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA, the UK, Switzerland or Israel, and processes customer data in Europe or Israel. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.

  2. 2
    Category fit and hands-on review

What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.

  3. 3
    Compliance and pricing check

GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.

  4. 4
    Position on this page

Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect which tools appear here and the order they appear in. It never buys a good review: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Vendors can pay for more visibility, higher up on the review pages; it never affects which tools are listed. Editorial policy

Key takeaways

  • ReferralCandy is operated by Anafore Pte. Ltd., registered in Singapore with UEN 200903073C, and its terms follow Singapore law.
  • The ReferralCandy pricing page combines a monthly fee of $39 to $799 with a success fee that falls from 10.5% on Basic to 0.25% on Enterprise.
  • ReferralCandy states that data is stored mainly in Singapore on AWS, while Loyoly names EU servers on Clever Cloud and Reditus names a Frankfurt database.
  • The ReferralCandy terms contain a strict no-refund clause and delete your content on cancellation, with backups kept up to 30 days.
  • Cello, Reditus and Tapfiliate price by referral ARR, plan tier or clicks, with no percentage taken from each referred order.

Why people leave ReferralCandy

ReferralCandy gives an online shop a referral programme without writing code: the shop connects its store, picks a reward for the advocate and an offer for the friend, and the app generates links, codes and reward payouts.

Its pricing page lists referral, affiliate and loyalty campaigns side by side, and its privacy policy names Shopify, BigCommerce and WooCommerce as the store platforms it reads orders from. For a small shop that wants to start this week, that is a short path.

The contracting party is not European. The terms of service are written for Anafore Pte Ltd, and the privacy policy, effective 5 November 2026, describes Anafore Pte. Ltd. as a company registered in Singapore under UEN 200903073C. The policy says shopper data is stored mainly in Singapore on AWS (region ap-southeast-1), with some processing in the United States for email delivery, logging and support. A Data Processing Addendum with EU Standard Contractual Clauses covers the transfers.

Merchants who look elsewhere usually mention one of three things: the success fee that grows with the programme, the lack of a refund when a plan does not fit, or the wish to keep names and emails of their customers inside Europe. None of these makes ReferralCandy a bad product. They are the points on which the European tools differ most.

  • A fee on every referred sale, on top of the monthly price On 5 November 2026 the pricing page listed Basic at $39 a month plus a 10.5% success fee, Grow at $79 plus 3.5%, Scale at $249 plus 1.5% and Enterprise at $799 plus 0.25%. Every plan has every feature, so only the fees change. The page says a higher volume means a lower variable fee. The consequence is that cost follows referral revenue, which is hard to forecast and shows up as a percentage of the money the programme earns.
  • No refunds, and your content disappears on cancellation The terms state that invoicing is based on services already rendered and that Anafore runs a strict no-refund policy on all plans, monthly and annual. If you cancel, your content is deleted immediately, with copies kept in backups for up to 30 days and no restoration afterwards. Prices can change on 30 days notice posted on the site. A merchant who wants to test a tool and leave cleanly should read these clauses before the 7-day trial ends.
  • A reward-parity rule that can trigger a commission charge The terms require that the reward you give customers through your referral programme is at least as valuable as the one publicly available on your own site. If Anafore finds you did not follow that rule, it reserves the right to charge its standard commission structure on up to 1% of your site revenue as reported by your platform. That is a clause a European marketing team will want legal to read before signing up.
  • Singapore law, Singapore storage Shopper names and email addresses are personal data of your customers, and you are the controller for them. The privacy policy puts storage in Singapore and says transfers out of the EEA rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, a transfer impact assessment and technical measures. That is a documented route, but it is a transfer you have to justify, and a European vendor that stores data in the EU removes the question.

What you have to replace, not just match

A referral programme is more than a link. Before you leave, list what your ReferralCandy account actually runs: the advocate reward and the friend offer, the codes generated on your store platform, any store-credit or cash payout flow, the segments you target, the emails advocates receive and the fraud rules that block self-referrals.

Shops that sell through Shopify and want to stay close to what ReferralCandy does should look at LoyaltyLion and Loyoly, which pair referral with points, VIP tiers or a wallet, and at Mention Me, which is the most referral-focused of the European tools but prices by revenue band and does not publish amounts. Companies that sell software, not goods, should compare Cello and Reditus, both built around subscriptions and in-product sharing.

ReferralCandy also covers affiliates with commission campaigns. Tapfiliate and Post Affiliate Pro are the European tools on this page that treat affiliate tracking as the core job, and Reditus adds a network of B2B SaaS affiliates. Brands with API teams and several markets can look at Voucherify, Open Loyalty, Antavo or Buyapowa, but those start from a sales conversation or a developer project, not from an app install.

How each alternative compares to ReferralCandy

#1

Mention Me

the referral specialist from London, priced by revenue band

London, United KingdomNo list price: a custom quote follows from the shop's annual online revenue band#1 in Referral Marketing Software

Best for: Brands with sizeable online revenue where referral is the main acquisition channel

Mention Me Limited is registered in England and Wales under number 08382730, with its registered office at 20-22 Wenlock Road in London. Its About page says it has delivered revenue for more than 500 brands since 2013. The product does one thing, finding and rewarding people likely to recommend a brand, and reports the revenue they bring.

The commercial model differs from ReferralCandy. Instead of a fixed fee plus a success fee, the pricing page asks for annual online revenue in bands from £0 to £7M up to £500M+ and then quotes a custom price. Listed integrations include SAP, Emarsys and Trustpilot, plus a Meta advertising connection.

What Mention Me does better than ReferralCandy

  • Referral is the whole product, not one campaign type among three
  • Pricing follows annual revenue band, not a percentage of each referred order
  • More than 500 brands served since 2013, according to the vendor
  • Integrations into enterprise systems such as SAP and Emarsys

Where Mention Me is a step down from ReferralCandy

  • No published prices, so cost is unknown until a quote
  • No points or tiers, and no seven-day self-serve trial listed
  • Data location is not stated on the pages we read

Standout against ReferralCandy. The only tool here that sells referral as its sole product and sets the price by company revenue.

LoyaltyLion

the nearest Shopify replacement, with a free plan and loyalty points

London, United KingdomStarts free below 400 orders monthly; the Classic tier is $199 a month at 500 orders, higher tiers are listed on its pricing page#2 in Referral Marketing Software

Best for: Shopify stores that want referral and points in one app and a free starting tier

LoyaltyLion Ltd, registered in England under number 08264116, says it was founded in 2012 and keeps an office in London. Its app combines a points-based rewards scheme with a referral programme and a branded loyalty page, and the integrations page counts more than 100 connections, with Shopify, Shopify Plus, Shopify POS and Klaviyo highlighted.

The pricing page works from monthly orders. Shops with fewer than 400 orders a month pay nothing, while the Classic plan costs $199 monthly once order counts reach 500. A 14-day trial runs through the Shopify App Store. Prices are in US dollars, so a European shop carries a currency risk that Loyoly does not.

What LoyaltyLion does better than ReferralCandy

  • A free plan for stores with up to 400 orders a month
  • Loyalty points and referral in one app, not referral alone
  • No success fee on referred sales, just order-volume tiers
  • Klaviyo and more than 100 listed integrations

Where LoyaltyLion is a step down from ReferralCandy

  • Prices in US dollars and a step up at each order band
  • Designed for Shopify first; stores on other platforms must confirm compatibility
  • Data location is not stated on the pages we read

Standout against ReferralCandy. A free tier up to 400 orders, which ReferralCandy does not list.

Loyoly

the French option with referral, VIP tiers and a wallet pass on EU servers

Nantes, FranceOrder volume sets the monthly plan; prices exclude taxes and are shown on the vendor site#3 in Referral Marketing Software

Best for: European shops that want referral and loyalty from a vendor that names EU hosting

The terms of sale name AURA CORP., a simplified joint-stock company registered in Nantes under number 889 463 519 with capital of 18,000 euros. The site also lists offices in Paris and London. Loyoly puts loyalty, VIP tiers, referral and a mobile wallet with push notifications on one member profile and lists more than 40 engagement missions.

According to its privacy policy, hosting runs on Clever Cloud servers inside the European Union, and it adds that some of the tools used may transfer data outside the EU under safeguards. Monthly plans are scaled by order bands from 0 to 500 orders upwards. The price display changes with the currency view, so confirm the amount before you buy.

What Loyoly does better than ReferralCandy

  • Names EU servers, where ReferralCandy states Singapore
  • French contracting party with a published register number
  • Adds a wallet, push notifications and VIP tiers next to referral
  • Comparison pages against Smile and other loyalty apps help a migration

Where Loyoly is a step down from ReferralCandy

  • A smaller team and a newer company compared with the enterprise vendors
  • Some tools it uses may transfer data outside the EU
  • Less suited to a custom API build

Standout against ReferralCandy. It states EU hosting on Clever Cloud while bundling referral with a wallet pass.

Voucherify

a Polish coupon and incentive engine with referral campaigns inside

Katowice, PolandTwo published tiers, Business at €600 and Organization at €1200 per month, plus a custom Enterprise tier and a 60-day trial#4 in Referral Marketing Software

Best for: Developer teams that want discounts, loyalty and referrals governed by one rule set

Voucherify PSA, based at Porcelanowa 23 in Katowice, started as a coupon tool and now covers promotions, gift cards, loyalty and referrals as rules in one engine. The company says it serves more than 350 brands, is ISO 27001 certified and belongs to the MACH Alliance. A New York address also appears in its footer, which is a reason to check the contracting entity in the order form.

Plans are published in euros: Business at €600 a month with 25,000 API calls and Organization at €1200 with 50,000, plus a 60-day free trial. Capacity, not referral revenue, sets the price, which is the reverse of the ReferralCandy success-fee model.

What Voucherify does better than ReferralCandy

  • Published euro prices and a 60-day free trial
  • Coupon codes, loyalty and referrals follow one rule set, which limits stacking conflicts
  • ISO 27001 certification claimed by the vendor
  • No percentage fee on referred sales

Where Voucherify is a step down from ReferralCandy

  • Starts at €600 a month, far above ReferralCandy Basic
  • Needs a developer to connect the checkout
  • Each plan caps API calls, so the cap has to match expected traffic

Standout against ReferralCandy. A single engine for coupons, loyalty and referrals, priced in euros by API capacity.

Tapfiliate

Amsterdam affiliate tracking with a referral module and flat tiers

Amsterdam, NetherlandsLaunch costs $89 and Scale $179 monthly, with a custom Enterprise tier; the tiers are public and no override applies#5 in Referral Marketing Software

Best for: Merchants who run commission programmes and want flat published prices

Tapfiliate is an Amsterdam-based affiliate tracking platform. Launch costs $89 a month ($74 billed annually) for one programme, 50 affiliates and 5,000 clicks a month. Scale costs $179 a month, removes the programme and affiliate caps and raises limits to 100,000 clicks and 10,000 conversions a month. Enterprise is custom.

It is software for the merchant to run, not a publisher pool, so you recruit every affiliate yourself. Overage is $1.50 per 1,000 extra clicks on Launch and $1.00 on Scale. Against ReferralCandy, the affiliate side is the stronger part here, with recurring commissions and server-side tracking on higher tiers.

What Tapfiliate does better than ReferralCandy

  • Flat tiers with no override on sales
  • Recurring commissions and server-side tracking on higher tiers
  • 30-plus integrations including Shopify and Stripe
  • A free trial on every tier, from 7 to 30 days

Where Tapfiliate is a step down from ReferralCandy

  • Referral is a module next to affiliate tracking, not the core product
  • Click overage fees apply past each tier allowance
  • No third-party security certification stated

Standout against ReferralCandy. Affiliate tracking with a flat monthly price, tiered by clicks and not by sales.

Cello

the Munich platform for referrals inside a software product

Munich, GermanyTwo product lines: user referrals from $65 a month (Start, up to $10K referral ARR), $200 (Grow, $50K) and $750 (Scale, $100K); partner referrals free, $80 (Plus) or $280 (Pro); Enterprise custom on both#6 in Referral Marketing Software

Best for: SaaS teams with a logged-in user base that want sharing inside the product

Cello is operated by PowerPlay GmbH in Munich, listed in the commercial register as HRB 272709. The homepage names Hera and Typeform as customers. A web SDK and SDKs for iOS, Android, Flutter and React Native place a referral launcher in the product menu, so users receive personal links without a separate sign-up.

User plans scale with the referral ARR produced: Start at $65 a month up to $10K, Grow at $200 up to $50K and Scale at $750 up to $100K. The partner side has a Free plan, Plus at $80 and Pro at $280 a month. For a shop that sells physical goods this design has little use.

What Cello does better than ReferralCandy

  • Referral link sits inside the logged-in product
  • Separate user and partner programmes under one contract
  • Plans list unlimited referrals and a free partner tier
  • German GmbH with a register number and DPO named

Where Cello is a step down from ReferralCandy

  • Designed for SaaS, not for retail baskets
  • Customer data location is not stated; only the website hosting is
  • Prices in US dollars

Standout against ReferralCandy. The only tool here that puts the referral prompt inside the customer product itself.

Reditus

Dutch referrals and affiliates for B2B SaaS, with a Frankfurt database

Maarn, NetherlandsAnnual billing: Growth 99 and Scale Up 399 a month, Enterprise from 799, after a 14-day trial (the currency symbol is missing from the page source)#7 in Referral Marketing Software

The privacy notice states that the production database is in Frankfurt and the application in Nuremberg, and it admits that some tools such as Sentry sit in the United States. Growth costs 99 a month and Scale Up 399 on annual billing, with a 14-day trial; the currency symbol is missing from the page source.

What Reditus does better than ReferralCandy

  • States a Frankfurt database and Nuremberg application, ReferralCandy states Singapore
  • Referral and affiliate network in one tool for subscription products
  • 14-day free trial without a card
  • Detailed sub-processor disclosure in the privacy notice

Where Reditus is a step down from ReferralCandy

  • Aimed at B2B SaaS, with no retail checkout focus
  • Scale Up and above need a 12-month commitment
  • Currency is not visible on the pricing page we saw

The pages claim 21-plus languages and 40-plus currencies, name Salesforce, HubSpot, Braze and Klaviyo as connectors, and claim ISO 27001 without showing a certificate. The pricing page asks visitors to book a demo, and a quote depends on technical requirements and the number of brands and territories.

  • Named CRM connectors and managed onboarding services
  • Multi-brand and multi-territory set-up

Where Buyapowa is a step down from ReferralCandy

  • No public prices and no self-serve trial

Antavo

a loyalty suite that lists referrals as one feature among many

London, United KingdomSales call required: no public prices for the Grow and Enterprise plans#9 in Referral Marketing Software

Best for: Brands that want referrals inside a wider loyalty and membership programme

Antavo Limited is registered in London under company number 08046168, and the privacy notice lists Antavo Kft. in Hungary as an internal processor. Referrals sit next to tiers, rewards, challenges, clubs and a separate promotions module, so a referral reward can feed a points ladder.

Pricing is quoted after a call. The privacy notice lists Google Cloud eu-west4 in the Netherlands and an AWS region in Ireland, next to regions in Asia Pacific and North America, so the region should be fixed in the contract.

What Antavo does better than ReferralCandy

  • Referral connects to tiers, clubs and challenges
  • A large partner network for integrations
  • Netherlands and Ireland regions are named in the privacy notice

Where Antavo is a step down from ReferralCandy

  • No public prices
  • Needs programme design before launch, unlike a ready app
  • Regions outside Europe are also listed

Standout against ReferralCandy. It treats referral as one mechanic inside a configurable loyalty programme.

Open Loyalty

a Wroclaw API loyalty engine with multi-tier referral mechanics

Wroclaw, PolandQuoted on request, made up of a platform fee and an allowance fee tied to monthly active members#10 in Referral Marketing Software

Best for: Product teams building referral into their own app

Open Loyalty sp. z o.o. in Wroclaw (KRS 0000929571) belongs to the OEX SA group and says it is not open source despite the name. Mechanics include points, tiers, referrals, wallets, badges, coupons, challenges, leaderboards and games, built through a campaign builder, an API and an admin interface.

Billing combines a platform fee with an allowance fee on monthly active members, those who perform at least one loyalty event in a month. The pricing FAQ names ISO/IEC 27001, a 99.99% uptime guarantee, a P1 response time under 30 minutes and storage on AWS that can be placed in Europe, Asia Pacific or North America.

What Open Loyalty does better than ReferralCandy

  • Choice of a European storage region

  • Billing follows active members, not a share of each sale

Where Open Loyalty is a step down from ReferralCandy

Post Affiliate Pro

Bratislava affiliate software with a referral tracking edition

Bratislava, SlovakiaFour public tiers a month: Starter $89, Pro $139, Ultimate $269 and Network $649#11 in Referral Marketing Software

Best for: Merchants who want deep commission rules and published tiers

Post Affiliate Pro is built by Quality Unit, s.r.o., registered in Bratislava since 2004. The group also has a Czech entity and a Delaware subsidiary, but the primary company is Slovak. Starter costs $89 a month for 10,000 tracking requests, Pro $139 for 1 million, Ultimate $269 for 6 million and Network $649 for 20 million.

Pro adds 220-plus integrations, and the Network tier supports multiple merchant accounts and Smartlinks. Against ReferralCandy, the commission logic is much deeper, including multi-level commissions, while the shopper-facing referral experience is plainer.

What Post Affiliate Pro does better than ReferralCandy

  • Operating since 2004 with fully published tiers
  • Multi-level commissions and multiple merchant accounts
  • No percentage fee on sales

Where Post Affiliate Pro is a step down from ReferralCandy

  • Pricing by tracking requests is hard to estimate in advance
  • Overage fees apply past each allowance
  • The group has a US subsidiary, relevant for a strict single-jurisdiction rule

Standout against ReferralCandy. The longest track record on the page, with commission rules ReferralCandy does not match.

What actually breaks when you switch

Start with the money. ReferralCandy bills a monthly fee and a success fee, and the terms say there are no refunds. Cancel at the end of a billing cycle you have already paid for, and settle any pending fees on sales the service generated, which Anafore may charge to your payment method or invoice before cancellation takes effect.

Then move the data you need. Content is deleted from the service on cancellation and backups are not restored, so export advocates, referral history and unpaid rewards first, and keep the discount codes that advocates already hold alive on your store platform for a few weeks. Expect the new tool to need its own fraud rules and email templates, and check that its reward types match yours before you promise advocates the same deal.

Which fee model is cheaper than ReferralCandy for my shop?

It depends on the monthly revenue the programme brings in. On ReferralCandy the Grow plan costs $79 plus 3.5% of that revenue. At $2,000 of new referral revenue that is about $149 in total, and at $10,000 it is about $429. A flat plan, for example LoyaltyLion Classic at $199 monthly for up to 500 orders, becomes cheaper once referral revenue is large and the order count stays inside the band.

For a small shop the opposite holds. LoyaltyLion offers a free plan below 400 monthly orders, and Loyoly sells monthly plans by order volume, so a shop with few orders can pay little or nothing. Work out your own referral revenue for three months before you compare, and remember that the percentage fee is charged on top of the monthly price.

What happens to my advocates and referral links when I switch?

Existing links and codes are tied to ReferralCandy. Once you cancel, your content is deleted from the service, so export what you need first: the list of advocates with their emails, the referral history and any unpaid rewards. Honour pending rewards before you switch, or advocates lose trust in the new programme.

Plan the switch in a quiet month. Tell advocates by email that their link changes, keep the old discount codes valid on the store platform for a few weeks, and start the new tool with the same friend offer so nobody sees a worse deal on day one.

Which one to pick

A Shopify shop with a small order count should compare LoyaltyLion, which has a free tier, and Loyoly, which names EU hosting. If referral is the main channel and revenue is large, Mention Me is the specialist, at the cost of a quote.

A software company should look at Cello for in-product sharing or Reditus for referrals plus affiliates. A merchant who mainly runs commissions should pick Tapfiliate or Post Affiliate Pro, and large brands with developers or several markets should talk to Voucherify, Open Loyalty, Antavo or Buyapowa.

Frequently Asked Questions

For a web shop, Mention Me from London is the most referral-focused option, LoyaltyLion from London adds a free plan and loyalty points, and Loyoly from Nantes keeps data on EU servers. For software companies, Cello from Munich and Reditus from the Netherlands fit better. For affiliate programmes, Tapfiliate from Amsterdam and Post Affiliate Pro from Bratislava are the closest.

The company is Anafore Pte. Ltd., registered in Singapore. According to its privacy policy it stores data mainly in Singapore on AWS, processes some of it in the United States for email delivery, logging and support, and routes some requests through EU and UK servers for speed. A Data Processing Addendum with Standard Contractual Clauses covers merchants in Europe.

Not according to its terms. They describe a strict no-refund policy for all plans, including monthly and annual ones, because invoicing is based on services already rendered. Cancelling takes effect immediately and deletes your content. A seven-day free trial is listed on the pricing page, so the trial is where you test the fit.

Yes. Tapfiliate charges flat monthly tiers from $89, Post Affiliate Pro from $89 by tracking volume, Cello from $65 by referral ARR and Voucherify from €600 a month by API capacity. LoyaltyLion bills by order volume. None of these takes a percentage of each referred sale in the way the ReferralCandy plans do.

Yes. Reditus combines in-app referrals with an affiliate network for B2B software, Tapfiliate adds a referral module to affiliate tracking, and Cello runs separate user and partner programmes on one contract. ReferralCandy offers affiliate campaigns too, so check that the European tool supports recurring commissions if you sell subscriptions.
