Talkspirit

Talkspirit is a Paris-based platform that started in 2004 — founded by Philippe Pinault and Olivier Ricard, and described by the company itself as one of Europe's early entrants in digital communication and collaboration.

In 2023 it merged with Holaspirit, a governance and OKR tool, and the combined product now bills itself as an "organisational operating system": a single place for how a company is structured (roles, responsibilities, circles), what it is working toward (objectives and OKRs), how it meets (agendas and minutes), what it is building (kanban-style projects), and how it talks to itself (a newsfeed, chat and video).

A personalised dashboard called Cockpit pulls a person's priorities, objectives and upcoming meetings into one view, and an AI assistant called Spark is built to understand an organisation's own structure and context rather than acting as a generic chatbot layered on top.

The distinguishing claim in this category is data location: Talkspirit says it hosts exclusively in France and Switzerland, and positions that explicitly as sitting outside the reach of the US CLOUD Act.

It holds ISO 27001 certification for information security management, states GDPR compliance with data retention in Europe, and says a SecNumCloud certification — the French national cybersecurity agency ANSSI's qualification for sovereign cloud services — is in progress. None of these sovereignty and certification claims are independently audited by this site; they are what Talkspirit states about itself, and the SecNumCloud qualification specifically is not yet complete.

The trade-off is the same one that runs through almost this entire category: no published pricing. Talkspirit's site offers a demo request rather than a price list or a free trial, so budgeting means a sales conversation before seeing a number.

For an organisation that wants governance and communication bundled into one product, rather than running a separate OKR tool alongside a separate intranet, and that specifically wants its data to never leave France or Switzerland, Talkspirit is one of the more distinctive options in this category.
