Spreo

Spreo is an online whiteboard for agile teams, and it is the new name of Metro Retro: the terms state that the service was called Metro Retro until 4 August 2025, and the site presents Spreo as the merger of Metro Retro and Ludi.

Spreo is built around recurring meetings such as retrospectives, sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups and planning poker. The canvas has sticky notes with private writing, voting, frames, zones, connectors, polls and task tracking. The about page of Spreo says more than 250,000 people have held over 2 million meetings in the product.

Spreo is a trading name of Deqo Software Limited, incorporated in England with registered number 11594409 and a registered office at 167-169 Great Portland Street, London. English law governs the terms, so the contract sits outside the EU.

The security page says Spreo is deployed to DigitalOcean in Amsterdam (AMS3), with TLS 1.2 in transit, AES-256 at rest and backups kept for at most 7 days. The SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS certificates mentioned there belong to the data centre, and Spreo names none of its own.

Spreo Starter costs USD 4 per member per month billed annually and includes one team space. Spreo Business costs USD 6 per member per month billed annually and adds unlimited team spaces, the Jira integration, SSO and 2 guest collaborators per board.

Both start at 2 members, and Enterprise for 100 or more members is priced individually. Spreo has no free plan: after the 30-day trial the account is paused in a read-only state. Spreo fits scrum teams that want meeting formats ready to run; teams that need a general design or workshop canvas with a free tier are better served by Conceptboard or Draft.io.
