Detailed Review
Pickware starts from the shop system and adds what the shop lacks: pick lists, a goods receipt, returns handling and stocktaking. The imprint names Pickware GmbH at Goebelstr. 21 in Darmstadt, registered at the Darmstadt district court under HRB 91274.
It is narrower than Brightpearl, which is a retail ERP with accounting and forecasting. Pickware is priced and built for a merchant who already has a shop and wants the back room under control.
Order allowance instead of user count
Every plan includes a monthly order allowance, 1,000 on Starter, 1,500 on Advanced and 2,000 on Professional, with extra orders charged at EUR 0.20 or EUR 0.15 each. The bill therefore follows parcels rather than headcount.
The WMS app is a separate EUR 199 per device and month on every plan, with hardware bought on top.
Shipping and accounting built in
Carrier integrations listed on the pricing page cover DHL, GLS, UPS, DPD, DHL Express and the German, Austrian and Swiss post. DATEV export sits in the accounting feature.
The Starter plan connects one Shopify shop, Professional up to four, and Enterprise an unlimited number.
AI chat and automation
A chat assistant is read-only on Starter and can write on higher plans. An MCP server and agents are listed from the upper plans, with early access features on Enterprise.
None of those AI items were tested for this review; they are listed as the vendor describes them.
Limitations to Consider
Pickware is tied to Shopware and Shopify, so a seller on WooCommerce or Magento is not its audience, and marketplaces are a smaller part of the story than at PlentyONE. The device licence for the WMS app adds EUR 199 per device and month. No data location or certificate was found on the pages reviewed, and the pricing page lists prices excluding VAT.
Who Should Use Pickware
Merchants with a Shopware or Shopify shop and a physical stock who want picking, receiving and returns handled with scanners.
