Review in detail
AUTO1 Group SE is a company with its address at Bergmannstraße 72, 10961 Berlin. The imprint states registration at the Local Court Munich under HRB 241031 and VAT number DE320618428.
AUTO1 Group describes itself as a multi-brand technology company for buying, selling and financing cars. It lists wirkaufendeinauto.de, Autohero and AUTO1.com as its platforms.
What does AUTO1 Group say it does?
AUTO1 Group states that its platforms let consumers and professional car dealers across Continental Europe buy and sell used cars. It also offers digital financing solutions to merchants and consumers.
The group site shows a year of foundation of 2012, more than 30 markets and 842,200+ cars sold. The extract we read does not show the period for the cars-sold figure.
How is AUTO1 Group governed?
The imprint names Christian Bertermann as sole member of the management board and Hakan Koç as chairman of the supervisory board.
The group site has an investor relations section with reports, shareholder letters and a corporate governance area. We did not read these.
Which consumer services belong to AUTO1 Group?
The footer links wirkaufendeinauto.de and its Austrian version, the vendezvotrevoiture, wijkopenautos and noicompriamoauto sites, and Autohero.com. These are separate consumer brands with their own entities.
Where it falls short
The AUTO1 Group site is a corporate site, not a shop where consumers pick a car. The consumer services are Autohero and wirkaufendeinauto, and the AUTO1.com platform is described only as a platform of the group, not in detail. We read no prices or buyer terms from the group site. For buying see Autohero, and for selling see wirkaufendeinauto.
Best suited to users of AUTO1 Group
Readers who want group-level facts, and dealers who want to know which platforms the group runs.
