European Process Mining Tools

Process mining software rebuilds how work actually runs from the timestamps in ERP, CRM and ticketing systems, and shows where cases stall, loop or skip a step. Because the event data names employees, suppliers and customers, the choice of vendor and hosting region becomes a data protection question as well as an analytics one. The European tools below range from a desktop application to open-source libraries and suites tied to SAP or Dynamics 365.

How we rank these tools — 4-step process
  1. 1
    European ownership, verified

The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA, the UK, Switzerland or Israel, and processes customer data in Europe or Israel. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.

  2. 2
    Category fit and hands-on review

What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.

  3. 3
    Compliance and pricing check

GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.

  4. 4
    Position on this page

Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect the order tools appear in. It never buys a listing: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Vendors can pay for more visibility, higher up on the review pages; it never affects whether a tool is listed. Editorial policy

Key takeaways

  • QPR Software Plc, a company listed on Nasdaq Helsinki and based in Espoo, sells QPR ProcessAnalyzer with a stated 30-day trial and a Snowflake-native deployment.
  • Fluxicon Disco, from Fluxicon BV in Eindhoven, is a desktop application for macOS and Windows, so event logs stay on the analyst's computer.
  • Noreja Intelligence GmbH in Hohenweiler, Austria, publishes three plan prices starting at €1,605 per month, but its entry route is a paid two-month proof of value.
  • ProcessMind B.V. in Deventer is the one tool on the list with a free Individual plan, and it names AWS Frankfurt as its hosting location.
  • SAP Signavio and Mavim need a closer read of the agreement, because SAP's privacy statement names SAP America Inc. for non-EU countries and Mavim's names a US sister company as co-controller.

European process mining software reconstructs how work actually flows through business systems from event data (case, activity, timestamp), and a vendor with a European legal seat keeps that operational data under EU law and, in most cases, in a named European hosting region.

#10 Noreja

Hohenweiler, Austria Core €1,605 per month (€19,264 per year), Pro €2,464 per month, Excellence €3,845 per month, billed yearly; two-month proof of value Demo on request

Best for: Organisations that want cause analysis across several systems without building event logs

  • Operating company. Noreja Intelligence GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Austria)
  • Where the data sits. Google Cloud and AWS in Frankfurt; other regions or on-premises on request
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. IBM Process Mining, UiPath Process Mining

Noreja is a process intelligence platform from Noreja Intelligence GmbH in Hohenweiler, Austria. It connects straight to source-system databases, maps them into an event knowledge graph and tests which steps cause delays, which the vendor calls causal process mining. Minerva AI agents, private LLM hosting and dashboards are listed, and the company is registered at Landgericht Feldkirch as FN 552351 g.

The FAQ names Google Cloud and AWS in Frankfurt, with other regions or on-premises on request at extra cost, and the vendor states ISO 27001 certification. Core costs €1,605 per month (€19,264 per year), Pro €2,464 and Excellence €3,845, billed yearly after a two-month proof of value. Leaving after it costs €12,500, and annual licences renew unless cancelled one month before term end.

What Noreja does well

  • Three plans with public prices
  • Reads databases directly, no event log to build
  • Frankfurt hosting with separated tenants
  • ISO 27001 stated by the vendor
  • Feldkirch register entry and named directors

Where Noreja falls short

  • Start is a paid proof of value
  • Annual terms renew automatically
  • Extra charge for on-premises hosting
  • No founding year or customer count on the pages read

Standout feature. Noreja tests causes on an event knowledge graph built from source databases, where other tools here analyse a flat event log.

How do I choose between the European process mining tools?

Start with where your event data lives and who will use the tool. If one analyst works from exported files, Fluxicon Disco (CSV, Excel, XES and MXML import) or the PM4Py library are enough. If a department needs live connections to SAP, Oracle or Dynamics, the realistic list is QPR ProcessAnalyzer, ARIS Process Mining, SAP Signavio and Noreja.

Then check what else you are buying. Signavio, ARIS, ProcessMind and Mavim include process modelling and documentation, while Process.Science only draws inside Power BI, Qlik Sense or Tableau and mpmX is built around outcomes such as working capital. Pick the shape that matches the question, not the longest feature list.

What does European process mining software cost?

Most vendors quote on request: QPR, Process.Science, mpmX, SAP Signavio, ARIS, Mavim, Fluxicon and PMTk do not publish prices. The tools that do are ProcessMind, with a free Individual plan and paid seats at $35, $120 and $350 per month, and Noreja, with Core at €1,605, Pro at €2,464 and Excellence at €3,845 per month billed yearly.

Read the entry terms next to the figures. Noreja's licences renew automatically unless cancelled one month before the term ends, and leaving after its proof of value costs €12,500. ProcessMind only includes mining from the $350 tier. For the rest, ask for a quote against the same data volume and user count so the numbers can be compared.

Where does my event data end up, and which law applies?

It depends on the deployment. Disco keeps data on the local machine, PM4Py and PMTk run in your own infrastructure, QPR, ARIS, mpmX and Process.Science list on-premises options, and Noreja names Google Cloud and AWS in Frankfurt. ProcessMind names AWS Frankfurt, and Mavim lists Western Europe (NL) as a selectable region.

Two entries need extra care. SAP's privacy statement names SAP SE in Walldorf for the EU and EEA and SAP America Inc. for other countries, and the Signavio pages do not state the tenant region. Mavim's privacy statement names Mavim International Inc. in Boston as a controller next to the Dutch company. Settle entity and region in the order form.

How do I migrate from IBM Process Mining or another US product?

The portable part is your data definition: which table gives the case ID, which column gives the activity, and which timestamp orders them. Export those tables and the mapping logic first. Disco, Process.Science and PM4Py take prepared files or tables, while Noreja reads source databases and QPR, ARIS and Signavio list connectors for SAP and other systems.

IBM lists its SaaS from USD 4,250 per month on an annual term, so a notice date matters. Run the new tool in parallel for one reporting cycle using the trial it offers (QPR 30 days, ProcessMind 14 days, mpmX three months), and plan to rebuild dashboards rather than expecting to import them.

When should I not switch to a European tool?

Keep your current tool if the process models and dashboards built over years are what your organisation uses daily and the jurisdiction question is not a requirement. A move also costs a retraining cycle, and the smaller vendors here have shorter references: ProcessMind was founded in 2024 and the pages read for several others state no founding year or customer count.

Do not switch to a desktop tool such as Disco if you need continuous monitoring, since it has no server or portal. Do not pick mpmX for a general exploration project, since its packages target specific outcomes, and do not buy Process.Science without a Power BI, Qlik Sense or Tableau licence already in place.

Which tools integrate with SAP, Snowflake or Microsoft products?

QPR runs natively inside a Snowflake account and names SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow and Microsoft Dynamics connectors. mpmX runs on Databricks, Snowflake and Qlik. ARIS names SAP, Oracle, Salesforce and Microsoft connectors, and Signavio lists pre-built SAP and non-SAP connectors.

On the Microsoft side, Mavim reads Dynamics 365 execution data and can be bought through Microsoft Marketplace, Process.Science runs as a Power BI visual, and Signavio can send alerts to Teams. If your sources are plain databases without a named connector, Noreja's direct database reading is the alternative to building event logs.

How we selected and ranked these 10 tools

Every tool on this page is in the European Purpose directory, which means the operating company is established in Europe and we have verified that from the company register or the vendor's own legal notice rather than from a marketing page. Tools headquartered outside Europe are not eligible, however good they are.

  1. Feature verification (weight: 40%). We check each capability against the vendor's own documentation and product pages, and record what the tool does rather than what the category is assumed to include.
  2. Ease of adoption (weight: 30%). Integrations, published API access, trial availability and how much configuration stands between signing and a usable result.
  3. Value and transparency (weight: 30%). Published pricing counts in a vendor's favour; quote-only pricing is recorded as quote-only rather than estimated. We weigh what a buyer gets for the entry price, not the headline feature count.
  4. Editorial review. Every page is researched and drafted with AI assistance, and the compliance and pricing claims are checked against the vendor's documentation before it is published under the founder's editorial responsibility. The three weights above decide the order; a position is a ranking against the other European tools in this category, not an absolute score.

Vendor-reported outcomes — ROI figures, margin uplift, time saved — are labelled as vendor claims wherever they appear on this page. We have not audited them, and neither has anyone else who quotes them. Read our full editorial process for how pages are re-verified.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on the job. QPR ProcessAnalyzer and ARIS Process Mining suit enterprise programmes, SAP Signavio suits SAP landscapes, Fluxicon Disco suits analysts working from files, ProcessMind suits small teams that want published prices, and PM4Py suits data teams that want an open-source engine.

QPR lists 30 days, ProcessMind 14 days plus a free Individual plan, mpmX three months, and Process.Science and SAP Signavio a free trial without a stated length. Noreja starts with a paid proof of value, and ARIS describes no self-service trial.

Yes, for most. QPR, ARIS, mpmX, Process.Science and PM4Py with PMTk list on-premises or own-infrastructure deployment, Noreja offers it on request at extra cost, and Fluxicon Disco runs locally. ProcessMind, Mavim and SAP Signavio are hosted services.

PM4Py, maintained by Process Intelligence Solutions GmbH in Aachen, is an open-source Python library for discovery, conformance checking, predictive and object-centric mining. Its licence text was not stated on the pages read, so confirm it before reuse.

ProcessMind publishes seat prices from $35 per month and Noreja publishes three plans from €1,605 per month. The others, including QPR, SAP Signavio, ARIS and Mavim, ask you to request a quote.
