European Ecommerce Fulfillment Services

A fulfillment partner holds your stock, picks and packs every order and handles the returns, which means it sees your product range, your sales volumes and the names and addresses of your customers. These European 3PLs run warehouses in the EU and the UK under European law, from automated start-up networks to long-established logistics groups.

How we rank these tools — 4-step process
  1. 1
    European ownership, verified

The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA, the UK, Switzerland or Israel, and processes customer data in Europe or Israel. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.

  2. 2
    Category fit and hands-on review

What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.

  3. 3
    Compliance and pricing check

GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.

  4. 4
    Position on this page

Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect the order tools appear in. It never buys a listing: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Vendors can pay for more visibility, higher up on the review pages; it never affects whether a tool is listed. Editorial policy

#1 Bigblue

Toulouse, France Platform plans at GBP 49 and GBP 149 a month (GBP 40 and GBP 124 on a 3-year commitment), an Advanced tier shown at GBP 300 on a 3-year commitment; fulfilment prices through an online calculator Demo on request

Best for: Direct-to-consumer brands that want branded post-purchase pages and several European warehouses

  • Operating company. Bigblue SAS
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. Stock held in warehouses in France, Germany, Spain and the UK
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ShipBob

Bigblue pairs a merchant app with warehouses in France, Germany, Spain and the UK, and it is the only entry on this list that prints monthly software prices. The Starter and Pro plans cost GBP 49 and GBP 149 a month, falling to GBP 40 and GBP 124 on a three-year commitment, and an Advanced tier is shown at GBP 300 on that term. Handling and shipping rates come from an online calculator or a quote.

The contracting party is Bigblue SAS, a French company with its registered office in Toulouse (RCS Toulouse 824 041 461), under terms dated 20 May 2024. The feature list covers B2C and B2B from one stock pool, branded tracking, a returns portal, bundles, carrier selection and an API. Bigblue says it fulfilled 24 million orders in 2025, a vendor figure, and the founding year and certifications were not checked.

What Bigblue does well

  • Software plans with public monthly prices
  • Warehouses in France, Germany, Spain and the UK
  • One stock pool for B2C and B2B orders
  • Storage set up for fashion, beauty and food
  • Branded tracking and returns pages

Where Bigblue falls short

  • Handling and shipping rates need a calculator or quote
  • Plan prices are shown in pounds
  • Cheapest plan rates need a three-year term
  • Performance figures come from Bigblue itself

Standout feature. Bigblue gives shops a price they can read before any sales call, on its software plans.

#2 Monta Fulfilment

Netherlands, Netherlands Founded 1999 Quote based; the pricing page says customers pay for storage space, order handling and transport actually used, with no permanent contract Demo on request

Best for: Dutch and Benelux webshops that sell on bol.com and want to switch provider without a long lock-in

  • Operating company. Monta Holding B.V.
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Netherlands)
  • Where the data sits. Warehouses in the Netherlands, France, Germany and the UK
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ShipBob

Monta Fulfilment is the e-commerce logistics group at gomonta.com, run through Monta Holding B.V. and active since 1999. It should not be confused with the Copenhagen EV charging company of the same name, which is listed elsewhere on this site. The group says it has over 20 warehouses and more than 3,000 online shops, both vendor figures.

Its pricing page says customers pay for the storage space, order handling and transport actually used, with no permanent contract, though no rates are printed. The software side includes MontaPortal for customers and MontaWMS, which can also run in a warehouse you operate yourself. The integrations page lists bol.com, Amazon, Kaufland, ManoMano and Mirakl, and sites are named in the Netherlands, France, Germany and the UK.

What Monta Fulfilment does well

  • Pricing page states no permanent contract
  • More than 20 warehouses, by its own count
  • Own warehouse software and customer portal
  • Connectors for bol.com, Amazon and Kaufland
  • Costs follow what you use

Where Monta Fulfilment falls short

  • Rates are not published
  • Head-office city is missing on the pages checked
  • Site mixes fulfilment with software sales
  • Spanish and Italian sites are not named

Standout feature. Monta is the one provider here that says in writing there is no permanent contract.

#3 Zenfulfillment

Berlin, Germany Founded 2017 Price list sent by email after a form with platform and monthly shipment volume; no figures published Demo on request

Best for: German online shops that want to promise a delivery date in the checkout

  • Operating company. Zenfulfillment GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Warehouses in Apfelstädt (Germany) and Łozienica (Poland)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ShipBob

Zenfulfillment GmbH was founded in Berlin in 2017 and fulfils from Apfelstädt in Germany and Łozienica in Poland. Its Zenrush service lets a shop show a next-day delivery date at checkout, and ZenOS ties shops, marketplaces, ERP and warehouses together with a no-code workflow builder and automatic carrier selection.

The imprint names the managing directors and the VAT ID DE311301617. The company says it serves more than 500 brands and handles sizes from start-ups to 500,000 orders a month, both vendor figures, as is the 99.97 percent accuracy claim. Its price list is emailed after you give your platform and monthly shipments, and connectors cover Shopify, WooCommerce, Shopware, Xentral and Billbee.

What Zenfulfillment does well

  • Next-day delivery date shown live in the shop
  • DTC and B2B stock in one system
  • Size tiers up to 500,000 orders a month
  • Special handling for food, fashion and cosmetics
  • Managing directors and imprint named

Where Zenfulfillment falls short

  • Price list only by email
  • Built around the German market
  • ZenOS cannot be bought without the fulfilment
  • Accuracy and volume figures are self-reported

Standout feature. Zenfulfillment turns delivery speed into a date that a shopper sees before paying.

#4 Active Ants

Nieuwegein, Netherlands Founded 2010 Quote on request; no prices on the site Demo on request

Best for: Shops with small, light items such as health, beauty and small electronics that suit automated storage

  • Operating company. Active Ants B.V.
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Netherlands)
  • Where the data sits. Warehouses in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England and France
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ShipBob

Active Ants B.V. of Nieuwegein, founded in 2010, stores and picks webshop orders with AutoStore robots and packs them automatically. Its about page lists sites in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, England and France, with the newest in Lyon in 2025, and offers warehouse tours to prospective customers.

Ownership is stated on that page: Bnode, a Belgian logistics operator, became full owner on 21 August 2023, and the homepage says the brand is soon to be Paxon. The Paxon network includes North American operations, and the UK site is listed under Active Ants UK Ltd. No prices or minimum volumes appear on the pages checked, and the AutoStore grid suits compact items rather than bulky goods.

What Active Ants does well

  • Robot picking and automatic packing
  • Sites across five European countries
  • Dutch B.V. as the contracting party
  • Visits to the warehouse offered
  • Marketplace links such as bol.com

Where Active Ants falls short

  • No prices on the site
  • Brand changing to Paxon
  • Bulky or long goods fit poorly
  • Paxon network reaches North America

Standout feature. Active Ants is the AutoStore operator on this list that lets prospects walk through its warehouses.

#5 FLEX. Fulfillment

Hermsdorf, Germany Quote on request; zero onboarding cost and a flexible contract; pick and pack priced per order with materials and labels included Demo on request

Best for: Amazon and eBay sellers who need FBA prep and a pan-European stock pool

  • Operating company. FLEX Logistik Deutschland GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Six warehouses: three in Germany, one each in France, Poland and the UK
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ShipBob, Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfillment

FLEX. Fulfillment is operated by FLEX Logistik Deutschland GmbH of Hermsdorf and runs six warehouses: three in Germany and one each in France, Poland and the UK. Its service list puts Amazon first, with FBA prep, forwarding to FBA, returns and removals, kitting, long-term storage and Seller Fulfilled Prime, managed through the myFLEX WMS.

The site states a zero euro onboarding cost and a flexible contract, and prices pick and pack per order with materials and labels included. Tariffs and the notice period are not shown, and the profile gives no founding year. Amazon Service Provider Network status is the vendor's own claim, and the company publishes VAT DE346264068 and an EORI number.

What FLEX. Fulfillment does well

  • No onboarding fee stated
  • Four countries served by a single legal entity
  • FBA preparation sits in the core offer
  • Per-order price covers materials and labels
  • VAT and EORI numbers on show

Where FLEX. Fulfillment falls short

  • Tariffs are not shown
  • Notice period is not given
  • Shopper-facing tracking is barely described
  • No founding year

Standout feature. FLEX. Fulfillment prepares stock for Amazon FBA and fulfils your own webshop orders from the same sites.

#6 Green Fulfilment

London (registered office); sites in Glasgow and Swindon, United Kingdom Founded 2016 Personalised quote based on order volume, D2C and B2B split, packaging, storage and personalisation; basic API connections free Demo on request

Best for: Smaller direct-to-consumer brands, around 500 orders a month and up, with shoebox-sized products

  • Operating company. Green Fulfilment Ltd
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. Warehouses in Glasgow, Swindon and Venlo (Netherlands)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ShipBob

Green Fulfilment Ltd is a B Corp certified 3PL, certified since 2024, incorporated in England and Wales under number 07598064 and founded in 2016. Its warehouses are in Glasgow (three sites), Swindon (two) and Venlo in the Netherlands (one). It says it serves more than 100 brands, a vendor figure, and tracks Scope 3 emissions through its Go Green platform.

Pricing is a personal quote based on order volume, the D2C and B2B split, packaging, storage and personalisation; basic API connections are free and it lists 25+ channel integrations. The contracting entity is British, so EU orders from the UK need customs handling and only Venlo avoids it. Custom reporting can cost extra, and large or heavy goods fall outside its stated sweet spot.

What Green Fulfilment does well

  • B Corp certified
  • Basic API connections cost nothing
  • Describes its ideal customer plainly
  • Founders take part in account work
  • Virtual tours of the warehouses

Where Green Fulfilment falls short

  • One warehouse inside the EU
  • No prices published
  • Heavy or bulky goods not its focus
  • Custom development and reports are charged

Standout feature. Green Fulfilment is the only B Corp certified provider on the list, and it reports Scope 3 emissions.

#7 fulfilmentcrowd

Chorley, United Kingdom Founded 1993 Not published; speak to an expert Demo on request

Best for: Omnichannel brands that sell in several territories and want one platform over regional warehouses

  • Operating company. fulfilmentcrowd Ltd
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. Partner warehouses in the UK, EU, USA and Australia
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ShipBob

fulfilmentcrowd Ltd of Chorley, Lancashire, does not own warehouses. Its business model page says it works with logistics providers around the world and brings their space onto its own technology, which gives one platform and one contract over partner sites in the UK, EU, USA and Australia.

The company started in 1993 as Exact Abacus Ltd and claims more than 30 years of experience, which explains the ERP flavour of its integrations: Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics and Linnworks, plus Amazon and Shopify. The UK company contracts on the .com site while the US site is separate. Warehouse quality depends on the partner, pricing is by conversation, and the pitch targets larger omnichannel brands.

What fulfilmentcrowd does well

  • One platform across four regions
  • NetSuite, Dynamics and Linnworks links
  • Software company since 1993
  • English and German site editions
  • Managing director and registered office named

Where fulfilmentcrowd falls short

  • Partners operate the warehouses
  • No pricing shown
  • US site and entity are separate
  • Aimed at larger brands

Standout feature. fulfilmentcrowd sells a technology layer over other firms' warehouses instead of its own buildings.

#8 FIEGE

Greven, Germany Custom offers; no prices on the site Demo on request

Best for: Established retailers and brands with large volumes, peaks and special handling needs

  • Operating company. FIEGE Logistik Stiftung & Co. KG
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Locations in 14 countries, including Germany
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ShipBob

FIEGE Logistik Stiftung & Co. KG of Greven is a family business that cites over 150 years of history and is registered at Amtsgericht Steinfurt under HRA 2007. Its website counts 136 locations in 14 countries and more than 10,000 staff in eCommerce, both vendor figures.

The eCommerce division offers fulfilment, space on demand for peaks, returns management, multi-carrier parcel shipping, omnichannel and marketplace management, order management software and customer service. Offers are custom and no prices or minimum volumes are published. Terms are tied to the ADSp forwarding conditions, and a shop with a few hundred orders a month will find smaller providers easier to start with.

What FIEGE does well

  • More than 150 years in operation
  • Extra space available for peaks
  • Marketplace and order management tools
  • Customer service and receivables on offer
  • German register details published

Where FIEGE falls short

  • Prices are not published
  • Contracts are set up through sales
  • Larger than a small shop needs
  • ADSp-based conditions

Standout feature. FIEGE is the only provider here that offers to run customer service and receivables next to the warehouse.

#9 GEODIS

Levallois-Perret, France Project based; contact form, no prices published Demo on request

Best for: Retailers and marketplaces that need warehousing and transport from one logistics group

  • Operating company. GEODIS SA
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. Multiple fulfillment locations, chosen per project
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ShipBob

GEODIS SA has its registered office in Levallois-Perret and is entered in the Nanterre register under 542 084 322, with a share capital of 404,461,760 EUR and VAT ID FR60542084322. Its Fulfillment & Omnichannel Logistics line serves professionals only.

The page describes omnichannel and marketplace fulfillment, outsourced warehouses and transport in the same group, and returns from every channel, including reboxing, ticketing, tagging, garment repairs and recycling. There are no prices, minimums or warehouse counts per country, onboarding is a contact form, and only the Dutch English edition of the site was read. Confirm which GEODIS company signs.

What GEODIS does well

  • French register details in full
  • Omnichannel and marketplace fulfillment
  • Returns with repair and recycling
  • Freight sits in the same group
  • Business customers only

Where GEODIS falls short

  • No prices or minimums
  • Contact form is the only way in
  • Service text stays general
  • Not aimed at small shops

Standout feature. GEODIS puts garment repair and recycling inside its returns service.

#10 Rhenus Warehousing Solutions

Holzwickede, Germany Project based; contact form, no prices published Demo on request

Best for: Brands that need a dedicated or shared warehouse with automation and a wide European footprint

  • Operating company. Rhenus SE & Co. KG
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. 120+ locations in 19 countries
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ShipBob

Rhenus Warehousing Solutions belongs to Rhenus SE & Co. KG of Holzwickede, registered at Amtsgericht Hamm under HRA 2448, VAT DE223423245. Its warehousing page states more than 120 locations in 19 countries and over 3 million m2 of storage space, the latter a vendor figure.

Operating models are dedicated logistics centres, multi-user warehouses and in-house logistics, with value-added services. A press release dated 22 October 2026 describes an AutoStore installation at Bolesławiec, Poland: 4,500 m2 with 100+ robots, built for e-commerce. No e-commerce product page was found, shop integrations are not described and prices are not published; contracts are agreed per site.

What Rhenus Warehousing Solutions does well

  • More than 120 sites in 19 countries
  • Dedicated, shared and in-house models
  • AutoStore e-commerce site in Poland
  • Commercial register details published
  • One group covers several industries

Where Rhenus Warehousing Solutions falls short

  • No pricing or minimums
  • Shop integrations not described
  • Onboarding agreed site by site
  • E-commerce is one line of many

Standout feature. Rhenus offers the largest warehouse footprint in the category, spread over 19 countries.

#11 ID Logistics

Orgon, France Project based; contact form, no prices published Demo on request

Best for: Large retailers with high order spikes and hundreds of thousands of references

  • Operating company. ID Logistics Group
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. Operations in Europe, the Americas and Asia
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ShipBob

ID Logistics Group is a French contract logistics company registered in Orgon and entered at the Tarascon commercial court under 433 691 862, with stockholders' equity of 13,796,640 EUR. It reports 42,000 employees, a vendor figure, and operations in Europe, the Americas and Asia.

Its omnichannel page covers distribution centres, reverse logistics for returns and repackaging, second-life activities, automated sorting and goods-to-person shuttles, plus transport. The public pages are a corporate profile: no prices, minimums, shop integrations or merchant dashboard are listed, so this entry is thinner than the others. Confirm which national subsidiary would sign your agreement.

What ID Logistics does well

  • French register data published
  • Second-life activities after returns
  • Returns handled inside the same service
  • Sorting automation and shuttle systems
  • Copes with very many references

Where ID Logistics falls short

  • No prices or minimums
  • No shop integrations listed
  • Meant for large customers
  • Corporate pages carry little detail

Standout feature. ID Logistics combines second-life activities for returned goods with the distribution centre itself.

How do I choose between a small 3PL and a logistics group?

Start from your order volume and how much onboarding you can absorb. Bigblue, Monta Fulfilment, Zenfulfillment, Active Ants, FLEX. Fulfillment and Green Fulfilment all sell to online shops directly and offer a demo on request. Green Fulfilment is the most explicit about size: its pricing page speaks to brands from around 500 orders a month with shoebox-sized products.

FIEGE, GEODIS, Rhenus and ID Logistics sit at the other end. They publish no prices, route every enquiry through a sales contact and describe projects for large shippers. FIEGE says it serves corporate groups and start-ups, yet onboarding still runs through sales. Pick a group when you have seasonal peaks, special goods or hundreds of thousands of references, and a smaller provider otherwise.

How is European fulfillment priced, and can I compare quotes?

Only part of the market publishes figures. Bigblue lists platform plans in pounds and sends the per-order part through an online calculator. FLEX. Fulfillment prices pick and pack per order with materials and labels included and states zero onboarding cost. Monta describes a pay-per-use model, while Zenfulfillment emails a price list after you enter your platform and monthly shipment count.

Active Ants, fulfilmentcrowd, FIEGE, GEODIS, Rhenus and ID Logistics quote on request. To compare quotes fairly, send every provider the same sheet: orders a month, average items per order, parcel weight, storage volume, return rate and destination countries. Ask each to list inbound handling, storage, picking, packaging, returns and software fees separately, since a bundled price hides where the margin sits.

Does a European 3PL keep my customers' data under EU law?

Mostly, with two nuances worth checking. Bigblue SAS, Monta Holding B.V., Zenfulfillment GmbH, Active Ants B.V., FLEX Logistik Deutschland GmbH, FIEGE, GEODIS SA, Rhenus SE & Co. KG and ID Logistics Group are EU-established entities, so the contract and the supervisory authority are European. For these, the order data of your shoppers does not travel to a US contracting party.

The first nuance is the United Kingdom. Green Fulfilment Ltd and fulfilmentcrowd Ltd are British, and the UK is covered by an adequacy decision but sits outside the EEA. The second is group structure: fulfilmentcrowd has a separate US site and entity, Active Ants is moving under the Paxon brand whose network includes North American operations, and ID Logistics operates in the Americas and Asia. Ask which legal entity signs for each country.

What does it take to migrate from ShipBob to a European provider?

Plan for a stock move and a connector change. Inventory has to be counted, transferred or sold down, and then booked in at the new warehouse, so you will carry stock in two places for a short period. ShipBob is a Chicago company whose privacy policy says it processes personal data in the United States, and its pricing page publishes no fulfillment rates, so keep your own export of SKUs, dimensions and stock levels.

On the software side, Bigblue offers 1-click integrations, Zenfulfillment connects Shopify, WooCommerce, Shopware, Xentral and Billbee, and Monta links bol.com, Amazon, Kaufland, ManoMano and Mirakl. The group providers treat integration as a project. Run a pilot batch of orders through the new site first, and keep the old contract running until returns from the previous period have cleared.

Which provider suits Amazon sellers and marketplace-first brands?

FLEX. Fulfillment is built around the marketplace seller. Its service list includes FBA prep, forwarding to FBA, and Amazon returns and removals, it is named as a Service Provider Network partner by its own account, and its sites in Germany, France, Poland and the UK allow one stock pool across them. Monta covers bol.com and Kaufland sellers in the Netherlands and Germany.

GEODIS adds a marketplace fulfillment service with inbound replenishment and returns for online platforms, and FIEGE lists marketplace management as part of its eCommerce division. Whichever you pick, ask for the connector list in writing and whether the provider can also serve your own webshop from the same stock.

When should I not switch to a European fulfillment provider?

Stay put when your buyers are mostly outside Europe or when your volume is too small to be worth a transfer. A US provider close to American customers ships faster to them, and several European sites charge for onboarding or need a quote cycle that costs weeks. The saving in jurisdiction does not pay for a move you do not need.

Also hold back if you only need labels. Bigblue's own limitations note says brands that mainly buy parcel labels rather than stock holding are better served by Sendcloud. And be careful with bulky goods: Active Ants (AutoStore) and Green Fulfilment both say large or long items are a poor fit.

How we selected and ranked these 11 tools

Every tool on this page is in the European Purpose directory, which means the operating company is established in Europe and we have verified that from the company register or the vendor's own legal notice rather than from a marketing page. Tools headquartered outside Europe are not eligible, however good they are.

  1. Feature verification (weight: 40%). We check each capability against the vendor's own documentation and product pages, and record what the tool does rather than what the category is assumed to include.
  2. Ease of adoption (weight: 30%). Integrations, published API access, trial availability and how much configuration stands between signing and a usable result.
  3. Value and transparency (weight: 30%). Published pricing counts in a vendor's favour; quote-only pricing is recorded as quote-only rather than estimated. We weigh what a buyer gets for the entry price, not the headline feature count.
  4. Editorial review. Every page is researched and drafted with AI assistance, and the compliance and pricing claims are checked against the vendor's documentation before it is published under the founder's editorial responsibility. The three weights above decide the order; a position is a ranking against the other European tools in this category, not an absolute score.

Vendor-reported outcomes — ROI figures, margin uplift, time saved — are labelled as vendor claims wherever they appear on this page. We have not audited them, and neither has anyone else who quotes them. Read our full editorial process for how pages are re-verified.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on the criterion. Bigblue ranks first here for public platform prices and four-country warehouse coverage. Monta Fulfilment suits sellers on bol.com that want no permanent contract, Zenfulfillment suits German shops, Active Ants fits compact items, and FLEX. Fulfillment fits Amazon sellers. FIEGE, GEODIS, Rhenus and ID Logistics suit large shippers.

Bigblue lists platform plans at GBP 49 and GBP 149 a month. FLEX. Fulfillment states zero onboarding cost with per-order pricing, and Green Fulfilment says basic API connections are free. All other providers quote on request or by email, so no tool on this list publishes a full rate card for storage, picking and shipping.

Green Fulfilment keeps two sites in the UK, Glasgow and Swindon, next to Venlo in the Netherlands. FLEX. Fulfillment has one UK warehouse among its six sites. fulfilmentcrowd uses partner warehouses in the UK, EU, USA and Australia, and ID Logistics operates in the Americas and Asia as well as Europe.

Active Ants stores and picks with AutoStore robots and packs automatically. Rhenus describes an AutoStore e-commerce installation at Bolesławiec in Poland with 100+ robots on 4,500 m2, according to a press release of 22 October 2026. ID Logistics mentions automated sorting and goods-to-person shuttles on its omnichannel page.

It can be, if you accept customs steps. Green Fulfilment and fulfilmentcrowd are British companies under the UK adequacy decision. Green Fulfilment ships EU orders from Venlo, which avoids customs, but that is one site only. fulfilmentcrowd uses partner warehouses, so confirm which location serves your EU buyers.
