European Demand Planning Software

Demand planning software turns sales history, promotions and market signals into forecasts that drive purchasing, production and stock levels. Those forecasts rest on order books, customer volumes and supplier terms, so where the vendor sits legally matters. These European platforms from Finland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Sweden and Italy cover forecasting for retail, manufacturing and aftermarket supply chains.

How we rank these tools — 4-step process
  1. 1
    European ownership, verified

The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA, the UK, Switzerland or Israel, and processes customer data in Europe or Israel. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.

  2. 2
    Category fit and hands-on review

What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.

  3. 3
    Compliance and pricing check

GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.

  4. 4
    Position on this page

Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect the order tools appear in. It never buys a listing: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Paid placement can affect the order in which tools appear; it never affects whether a tool is listed. Editorial policy

Key takeaways

  • RELEX Solutions ranks first in this category because RELEX Oy of Helsinki, running since 2005, puts demand forecasting, replenishment, allocation, promotion planning and price optimisation on one data model, which is the widest scope any European vendor here offers to a retailer.
  • ToolsGroup, Lokad and Vekia each describe probabilistic forecasting as their core method, meaning they produce a range of outcomes with probabilities where a classic tool produces one number per product.
  • Optiply is the only vendor in this category that publishes plan prices: Starter from €610 per month, Professional from €1,610 and Enterprise from €2,380, tied to the number of sales orders (pricing page, 23 October 2026), while the other ten sell on quote after a demo.
  • Syncron of Stockholm is the specialist for service parts and the aftermarket, and its privacy policy names group entities in the United States, India and Japan, so the data processing addendum on its legal page is worth reading before signature.
  • Lokad runs on Microsoft Azure and Slimstock offers on-premise installation or Slim4 Cloud, but for the other nine vendors the hosting region was not stated on the pages read, so a European contracting entity should not be mistaken for European-only infrastructure.

European demand planning software is the class of supply chain planning tools that forecast what customers will buy and turn that forecast into stock, purchasing and production decisions, sold by a vendor that contracts and is headquartered in Europe, which matters because a plan contains your sales history, supplier terms and margins and a European contracting entity keeps that material under EU law and a European supervisory authority.

Every European demand planning software tool reviewed

#1 RELEX Solutions

Helsinki, Finland Founded 2005 Custom (quote-based); no list prices published Demo on request

Best for: Large retailers that want demand forecasting, replenishment and promotion planning on one data model

  • Operating company. Retail Logistics Excellence – RELEX Oy
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Finland)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Blue Yonder, o9 Solutions, SAP pricing modules

RELEX Solutions is a Finnish retail and supply chain planning platform whose scope reaches from demand forecasting through replenishment and allocation to promotion planning, with Price Optimization added as one more module on the same data model. That shared model is the argument for choosing it: a retailer that already plans its supply chain on RELEX adds pricing without building a new integration, and the forecast that drives replenishment is the same one that drives the price decision.

The contracting entity for European customers is Retail Logistics Excellence – RELEX Oy in Helsinki, founded in 2005, and the tool page describes roughly twenty offices worldwide.

Prices are quote-based and not published, and the sales cycle is that of an enterprise platform. The review of RELEX on the pricing software list is the more candid account of its limits: the pricing module is secondary to the wider suite, and a company that only needs pricing is buying more platform than it will use.

What RELEX Solutions does well

  • Price optimisation shares one data model with demand and inventory planning
  • Two decades of operating history from Finland
  • Genuinely global retailer and manufacturer customer base
  • EU-established parent entity for European contracts

Where RELEX Solutions falls short

  • Pricing module is secondary to the wider supply-chain platform
  • No published pricing; enterprise sales cycle
  • Overkill for a company that only needs pricing

Standout feature. RELEX Solutions is the only tool here that sells forecasting, replenishment, promotions and price optimisation from one Finnish platform with a single data model.

#2 ToolsGroup

Amsterdam, Netherlands Founded 1993 Not published; demo on request Demo on request

Best for: Manufacturers, distributors and retailers with long-tail or intermittent demand

  • Operating company. ToolsGroup B.V.
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Netherlands)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, SAP IBP

ToolsGroup builds its demand planning on the idea that a single-number forecast hides the risk that matters for stock. Its demand planning page describes probabilistic modelling for intermittent, seasonal, long-tail, lumpy and promotion-driven demand, with demand sensing and demand shaping inside the demand module, and supply planning that covers multi-echelon inventory optimisation, replenishment and production planning.

The privacy policy names ToolsGroup B.V., Teleportboulevard 110, Amsterdam as controller, and the anniversary page dates the company to 1993 and to a train journey between Milan and Genoa. Offices are listed in the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and North America, with Boston and Aliso Viejo on the American side. According to the vendor, AI forecasting improves accuracy by 5 to 15 points; that figure depends on your data. Hosting and the signing entity are not stated on the pages read.

What ToolsGroup does well

  • Probabilistic forecasting described as the core method
  • Demand, supply and strategic planning in one platform
  • Dutch B.V. named as controller in the privacy policy
  • Industry modules for aftermarket, retail and food
  • Thirty years of product history

Where ToolsGroup falls short

  • No published pricing
  • Hosting region not stated on the pages read
  • Suite scope can exceed a small team's needs
  • North American offices alongside the EU entity

Standout feature. ToolsGroup is the one tool here that puts probabilistic forecasting, aftermarket parts, retail modules and S&OP in a single thirty-year-old Dutch-registered platform.

#3 OMP

Wommelgem, Belgium Not published; demo on request Demo on request

Best for: Manufacturers with long lead times, capacity limits and mixed make-to-stock and make-to-order

  • Operating company. OM Partners NV
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Belgium)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kinaxis, SAP IBP, Blue Yonder

OMP is the Belgian planning vendor whose Unison Planning platform joins network design, demand management, S&OP, operational planning, scheduling and inventory optimisation. The demand module describes forecasting with demand sensing and best-fit technique selection, one integrated model with role-based views for sales, marketing and supply, and forecasting by value as well as volume.

The privacy statement identifies OM Partners NV, incorporated in Belgium with its registered office at Koralenhoeve 23, Wommelgem, as controller; the founding year was not stated on the pages read.

The site names Beiersdorf, Evonik, Land O'Lakes, Outokumpu and Roche among its logos and says it has been named a Gartner Magic Quadrant leader eleven times, which is the vendor's own statement. Advisory, implementation, certification and training appear as separate service lines, so expect a project with consultants rather than a self-service start.

What OMP does well

  • Demand, supply, scheduling and S&OP on one platform
  • Belgian NV named as controller
  • Role-based views for sales, marketing and supply
  • Forecasting by value as well as volume
  • Services lines from advisory to training

Where OMP falls short

  • No published pricing
  • Implementation is a project, not a quick start
  • Hosting region not stated
  • Heavy for a simple forecasting need

Standout feature. OMP is the only tool here that couples demand planning with detailed scheduling and network design for plants that cannot flex capacity.

#4 Lokad

Paris, France Founded 2008 Flat monthly fee per module, quote-based; free trial account on request Demo on request

Best for: Companies that want decisions automated by an outside team rather than a planning tool to operate

  • Operating company. Lokad SAS
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. Microsoft Azure (region not stated on the pages read)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, o9

Lokad is the unusual entry in this list because the product is partly people. Its pages describe supply chain scientists who accompany each customer and write the decision logic in Envision, a scripting language of its own, so that purchasing, dispatch, assortment and pricing decisions come out of the platform every day. Forecasts are an input, not the deliverable, and the technology pages trace the method from classic forecasts in 2008 to quantile forecasts and probabilistic forecasts.

The French company register lists LOKAD, a simplified joint-stock company at 83-85 boulevard Vincent Auriol in Paris, created on 7 April 2008, although the site footer reads Lokad Inc., so the signing entity should be confirmed in the quote. Clients pay a fixed monthly fee per module, split into a platform fee and a support fee, with no per-user charge. The solution is hosted on Microsoft Azure, and Lokad asks clients not to send personal data.

What Lokad does well

  • Probabilistic forecasting since 2016, quantile forecasts since 2012
  • Flat monthly fee with no per-user pricing
  • Experts build and run the decision logic
  • Registered French SAS since 2008
  • Free trial account on request

Where Lokad falls short

  • Scripts and decisions sit with Lokad's team, not your planners
  • Hosted on Azure, region not stated
  • Fixed fees can be awkward during rapid growth
  • Footer names Lokad Inc., contracting entity to confirm

Standout feature. Lokad is the one tool here where a vendor team writes and runs your replenishment and pricing logic for a flat monthly fee.

#5 Sunstice (FuturMaster)

Boulogne-Billancourt, France Founded 1993 Not published; demo on request Demo on request

Best for: Consumer goods and industrial companies that want demand planning linked to trade promotion and revenue growth

  • Operating company. FuturMaster SAS (Sunstice)
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kinaxis, o9, Blue Yonder

Sunstice is the new name of FuturMaster, and its about page describes a supplier of supply chain planning and revenue growth management software with more than 30 years of experience. The demand planning page describes automated data cleansing, best-fit selection of statistical models to build a baseline, an explainable modelling cockpit and approval roles that run through Demand and Supply Reviews and S&OP or IBP cycles.

The privacy policy names FuturMaster SAS, registered with the Nanterre trade register at Tour Horizons in Boulogne-Billancourt, and the French register shows a registration date of 31 December 1993.

Revenue growth management ties trade promotion and pricing decisions to the plan, which is what separates it from pure forecasting tools. The rebrand means contracts and documents may still say FuturMaster, some sections of the new site still read coming soon, and no prices or hosting region appear on the pages read.

What Sunstice (FuturMaster) does well

  • Demand, supply, IBP and revenue growth management in one vendor
  • Explainable forecasting cockpit
  • FuturMaster SAS named in the privacy policy
  • Thirty years of planning experience
  • Collaborative approval roles built into the demand review

Where Sunstice (FuturMaster) falls short

  • Rebrand creates two names to track
  • No published pricing
  • Hosting region not stated
  • New site still has pages marked coming soon

Standout feature. Sunstice is the tool here that links a collaborative demand review to trade promotion and revenue growth management inside one French vendor.

#6 Slimstock

Deventer, Netherlands Founded 1993 Not published; quote on request Demo on request

Best for: Mid-size and large companies that need forecasts and replenishment proposals next to an existing ERP

  • Operating company. Slimstock Holding B.V.
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Netherlands)
  • Where the data sits. On-premise installation or the Slim4 Cloud; the cloud region is not stated on the pages read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Netstock, SAP IBP, Inventory Planner

Slimstock is a Dutch inventory optimisation and replenishment company whose Slim4 platform covers demand forecasting, automatic replenishment, multi-echelon inventory, allocation and network balancing. It plans stock rather than recording it, so it sits beside the ERP or warehouse system that holds the quantities, and it can be installed on-premise or used as Slim4 Cloud.

The terms of use name Slimstock Holding B.V. in Deventer under Dutch business registry number 38024648, and the company dates itself to 1993. According to the vendor it has more than 1,700 customers, 96 percent retention, offices in 28 countries and over 600 supply chain experts, and releases new functionality every three weeks; none of those figures was audited. It holds ISO 27001:2022, publishes no price, and does not name a cloud region on the pages read.

What Slimstock does well

  • Slimstock names a Dutch B.V. with a registry number in its terms of use
  • Slimstock states ISO 27001:2022 certification
  • Slimstock can be deployed on-premise or used as Slim4 Cloud
  • Slimstock covers forecasting, replenishment, multi-echelon and allocation in one platform
  • Slimstock describes itself as privately owned and dates itself to 1993

Where Slimstock falls short

  • Slimstock publishes no price and starts with a sales conversation
  • Slimstock plans stock rather than recording it, so an ERP or WMS is still needed
  • The cloud hosting region is not stated on the pages read
  • Customer, retention and staff numbers are vendor claims that were not audited

Standout feature. Slimstock is the tool here that lets you choose between an on-premise installation and a cloud service for forecasts and replenishment, with ISO 27001:2022 behind it.

#7 Syncron

Stockholm, Sweden Not published; demo on request Demo on request

Best for: Equipment, automotive and truck makers planning spare parts across dealers and warehouses

  • Operating company. Syncron Holding AB
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Sweden)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kinaxis, SAP IBP

Syncron is the aftermarket specialist in this category. Its home page organises the product into inventory (service parts planning and retail inventory management for dealers), pricing, warranty and service contracts, and sells mid-market versions called Inventory IQ and Price IQ. Spare parts demand is slow-moving and intermittent, which is why a tool built around fast retail volumes handles it badly.

The privacy policy names Syncron Holding AB in Stockholm as data controller and lists group companies in Germany, the UK, Italy and Poland, as well as Syncron Inc. and subsidiaries in India and Japan.

Customer logos on the home page include AGCO, CLAAS, Trimble and Caterpillar. The policy says personal data may be shared with group entities outside the EU, and names business partners including Amazon, so the published data processing addendum deserves a read. Prices and hosting region are not stated.

What Syncron does well

  • Built specifically for service parts and aftermarket
  • Planning, pricing and warranty from one vendor
  • Mid-market products for smaller OEMs
  • Swedish holding company named as controller
  • Published data processing addendum

Where Syncron falls short

  • Narrow fit outside the aftermarket
  • No published pricing
  • Group entities outside the EU may process data
  • Hosting region not stated

Standout feature. Syncron is the tool here that plans spare parts, dealer stock and parts pricing for equipment and truck makers in one Swedish vendor.

#8 Vekia

Lille, France Founded 2007 Not published; demo on request Demo on request

Best for: Retailers and industrial companies with many suppliers and references who want orders automated

  • Operating company. Vekia SAS
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kinaxis, Blue Yonder

Vekia is a French vendor of probabilistic demand forecasting that feeds order proposals directly. Its forecasting page describes algorithms that detect trends, adjust for seasons and events, and set safety stock automatically against forecast demand and lead times, while the English page contrasts a deterministic approach, one frozen prediction, with several scenarios and their probabilities.

The legal notice names Vekia SAS, share capital 74,466 euro, at 16-18 rue Faidherbe in Lille, created in December 2007 per the company register, with Manuel Davy as president.

According to the vendor, 99 percent of orders can be automated, a figure that depends on the customer. A data science team is assigned to each project under what the English page calls a PPDA approach, and customer quotes come from Mr. Bricolage and Engie Home Services. The site is mostly in French and no price or hosting region is stated.

What Vekia does well

  • Probabilistic forecasts feeding order proposals
  • Automatic safety stock adjustment
  • Data scientists assigned per project
  • French SAS verified in the company register
  • Sector pages for retail, industry, energy

Where Vekia falls short

  • Mostly French-language site
  • No published pricing
  • Narrower than a full S&OP suite
  • Hosting region not stated

Standout feature. Vekia is the tool here that assigns data scientists to your project to turn probabilistic forecasts into automated supplier orders.

#9 Flowlity

Avilly-Saint-Leonard, France Founded 2019 Not published; demo on request, free trial advertised Demo on request

Best for: Mid-market retail, manufacturing and wholesale teams leaving Excel

  • Operating company. FLOWLITY SAS
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kinaxis, Blue Yonder

Flowlity describes itself as an agentic AI platform for supply chain planning aimed at mid-market companies. Its demand planning page says forecasts combine internal data such as past demand, prices and promotions with external factors such as weather and economic indicators at SKU level, with automatic history cleaning, new product forecasting from similar items and promotion management; inventory optimisation, supply planning and supplier collaboration sit in the same product.

The legal notice names FLOWLITY SAS, SIREN 847 801 701, with its registered office in Avilly-Saint-Leonard, registered with the Compiegne commercial court in January 2019, while the about page says it was founded in Paris in 2019.

The about page claims more than 40 active customers in Europe, the US and Latin America. A Start free trial button sits next to Get a demo, which is rare here. Prices and hosting region are not stated, and the marketing site is hosted on Webflow in the United States.

What Flowlity does well

  • Free trial offered
  • Forecasts combine internal and external signals
  • Demand, inventory and supply in one product
  • French SAS registered since 2019
  • Built for planners rather than data scientists

Where Flowlity falls short

  • Young vendor with limited reference base
  • No published pricing
  • Hosting region not stated
  • Less suited to complex production scheduling

Standout feature. Flowlity is the only tool here that pairs demand, inventory and supply planning for the mid-market with a self-started free trial.

#10 Intuendi

Florence, Italy Flat monthly fee on quotation only; annual billing may carry a discount Demo on request

Best for: Retail and e-commerce companies that need forecasts and purchase orders prepared automatically

  • Operating company. Intuendi srl
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Italy)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kinaxis, Blue Yonder

Intuendi prepares forecasts and purchase orders for retail and e-commerce companies. Its home page lists SKU and catalogue insights on future demand, the effect of external variables, understock and overstock reports and target-coverage replenishment, and further capabilities include bill of materials, multi-echelon rebalancing across warehouses and multi-supplier purchasing. Symphonie is the in-app AI layer, and a separate page describes connections to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and other assistants through MCP.

The terms of service name Intuendi srl at Viale Mazzini 40 in Florence, and the company page says it began as a group of engineers and researchers from the University of Florence; no founding year is stated. The August 2026 terms set a monthly flat fee with an annual option, prices on quotation only, payments upfront and non-refundable, and data kept for 60 days after termination. The hosting region is not stated on the pages read.

What Intuendi does well

  • Forecast and order suggestions in one tool
  • Multi-echelon rebalancing across warehouses
  • MCP connections to AI assistants
  • Italian srl named in the terms
  • Support included in the subscription

Where Intuendi falls short

  • Prices on quotation only
  • Upfront, non-refundable payments
  • Hosting region not stated
  • Retail-oriented scope

Standout feature. Intuendi is the tool here that lets an AI assistant connect to the forecasts and order suggestions through MCP.

#11 Optiply

Eindhoven, Netherlands Founded 2015 Starter from €610 per month (from 1,000 sales orders per month), Professional from €1,610, Enterprise from €2,380; pricing page 23 October 2026 Demo on request

Best for: E-commerce and wholesale buyers who want purchase orders calculated from sales history

  • Operating company. Optiply BV
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Netherlands)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages read
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kinaxis (smaller scope), Netstock, Inventory Planner

Optiply is a purchasing and inventory optimisation tool for e-commerce and wholesale. A calendar shows which purchase orders are needed, calculated from historical sales, trends, delivery times and stock with more than 40 forecasting methods, and the site says it connects with 50+ integrations. Higher plans add container optimisation, a promotion planner, wholesale forecasting, EDI, bill of materials and a production planner.

The terms define Optiply BV as registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 65975839, with Dutch law applying and the address Horsten 1 in Eindhoven; the about page dates the company to 2015 and says it has served more than 500 businesses.

The pricing page of 23 October 2026 lists Starter from €610 per month, Professional from €1,610 and Enterprise from €2,380. There is no S&OP cycle or network design, the price rises with order volume, and the hosting region is not stated.

What Optiply does well

  • Plan prices published on the site
  • 40+ forecasting methods
  • 50+ integrations
  • Dutch BV with Dutch law in the terms
  • Tiers scale with order volume

Where Optiply falls short

  • Not a full S&OP suite
  • Price rises with order volume
  • Hosting region not stated
  • Advanced forecasting only on higher plans

Standout feature. Optiply is the only tool here that puts its plan prices on the website, from €610 per month, tied to sales orders.

Should I buy a full planning suite or a lighter forecasting tool?

Decide by the number of decisions that have to agree with each other. A suite such as OMP with its Unison Planning platform, ToolsGroup or Sunstice links demand, supply, S&OP and in some cases scheduling, so a change in the forecast moves through to capacity and purchasing in one model. That is the right shape for a manufacturer with long lead times and plants that cannot flex.

If the real job is a monthly forecast and an order proposal per supplier, the suite is more than you need. Slimstock, Vekia, Intuendi and Optiply stop at forecast, safety stock and replenishment, and each of them says so in its own limitations. Their implementations are shorter and their scope is easier to explain to a finance director.

The middle position is Flowlity, which puts demand, inventory and supply in one product but is aimed at mid-market teams that are leaving spreadsheets, and which advertises a free trial next to its demo button. Be honest about the planning organisation you have today: a tool that needs a dedicated S&OP team will sit unused in a company without one.

What does demand planning software cost, and who publishes a price?

Only Optiply publishes plan prices. Its pricing page of 23 October 2026 lists Starter from €610 per month from 1,000 sales orders per month, Professional from €1,610 and Enterprise from €2,380, with a yearly option that saves 20 percent. Higher plans add advanced forecasting, a promotion planner, wholesale forecasting, EDI, bill of materials and a production planner.

Lokad describes its model without a price list: a fixed monthly fee split into a platform fee and a support fee, charged per module, with no perpetual licence and no per-user charge. Intuendi's terms say every plan carries a flat monthly fee, with an annual option, and that prices are given on quotation only.

RELEX Solutions, ToolsGroup, OMP, Sunstice, Slimstock, Syncron, Vekia and Flowlity quote after a demo. Budget for services as well as licences in that group: OMP lists advisory, implementation, certification, training and support as separate service lines, and Vekia assigns a data science team to each project.

Does a European demand planning vendor keep my data in Europe?

A European vendor gives you a European contracting party and, in most cases, a data controller you can name: ToolsGroup B.V. in Amsterdam, OM Partners NV in Wommelgem, Vekia SAS in Lille, Syncron Holding AB in Stockholm. That settles who answers to a European supervisory authority. It does not settle where the servers stand.

Only two vendors say anything about infrastructure. Lokad states that it hosts on Microsoft Azure, a US-parented cloud, and asks clients not to send personal data because it does not need any for supply chain optimisation. Slimstock offers an on-premise installation or Slim4 Cloud and holds ISO 27001:2022, but names no cloud region. For the other nine the hosting region was not stated on the pages read.

Put the question in the request for proposal: which cloud, which region, which group entities can access the data. Syncron's privacy policy says personal data may be shared with group companies outside the EU, including Syncron Inc., and ToolsGroup runs offices in Boston and Aliso Viejo next to its Dutch entity, so the answer differs per vendor and belongs in the contract.

How do I move from Kinaxis, Blue Yonder or SAP IBP to a European tool?

Start with the tool pages' own replacement lists. ToolsGroup, OMP, Lokad, Sunstice, Syncron, Vekia and Flowlity each name Kinaxis as a tool they replace, while Slimstock lists SAP IBP and Netstock. Naming a competitor is not a feature comparison, so run a proof of concept on your own history before you sign anything.

The data work is similar in every migration. You export item master data, history, bills of material, lead times and the current forecast overrides, and you load them into a vendor that will want to test its method against your actuals. Lokad and Vekia put their own scientists on that step, ToolsGroup and OMP bring implementation teams, and Optiply and Intuendi lean on integrations with the shop and purchasing systems you already have.

Plan a period of parallel running. Planners who have spent years inside one tool carry habits, such as manual overrides and consensus meetings, that the new tool may handle differently, and a quarter in which both plans exist is cheaper than a stock-out discovered after the old licence has lapsed.

When should I not switch to a European demand planning tool?

Do not switch if your main reason is only the vendor's passport and your planning process is working. A multi-year implementation costs more than most licence differences, and several of the vendors here are smaller than the incumbent you would leave. Flowlity describes about forty customers on its own about page, and Intuendi's terms require non-refundable upfront payment.

Do not switch if you need the kind of managed outcome that Lokad sells while your planners expect to adjust numbers by hand. Lokad's decisions come from scripts its team writes in Envision, so the working model is closer to outsourcing than to a tool your planners open each morning. Slimstock or ToolsGroup suit that habit better.

Stay put, or move later, if you depend on a specialist module no European vendor here covers for your industry. Syncron is the specialist for service parts, but a business with complex multi-plant scheduling should compare OMP before anything else, and one that only needs price optimisation inside a retail suite should look at RELEX Solutions' pricing module on its own terms.

Which tool fits retail, manufacturing or spare parts?

For retail and e-commerce, RELEX Solutions is the broadest, Intuendi prepares forecasts and purchase order suggestions with multi-echelon rebalancing across warehouses, and Optiply calculates purchase advice from sales history for e-commerce and wholesale. Vekia adds sector pages for retail and large retail and quotes from Mr. Bricolage.

For manufacturing and distribution, OMP targets long lead times and mixed make-to-stock and make-to-order, ToolsGroup targets long-tail and intermittent demand, and Sunstice links demand planning to trade promotion and revenue growth management for consumer goods and industrial companies.

For spare parts and the aftermarket, Syncron is built around service parts planning, dealer stocking and parts pricing, ToolsGroup lists aftermarket parts as one of its industries, and Lokad publishes aeronautics and automotive solution pages.

How we selected and ranked these 11 tools

Every tool on this page is in the European Purpose directory, which means the operating company is established in Europe and we have verified that from the company register or the vendor's own legal notice rather than from a marketing page. Tools headquartered outside Europe are not eligible, however good they are.

  1. Feature verification (weight: 40%). We check each capability against the vendor's own documentation and product pages, and record what the tool does rather than what the category is assumed to include.
  2. Ease of adoption (weight: 30%). Integrations, published API access, trial availability and how much configuration stands between signing and a usable result.
  3. Value and transparency (weight: 30%). Published pricing counts in a vendor's favour; quote-only pricing is recorded as quote-only rather than estimated. We weigh what a buyer gets for the entry price, not the headline feature count.
  4. Editorial review. Every page is researched and drafted with AI assistance, and the compliance and pricing claims are checked against the vendor's documentation before it is published under the founder's editorial responsibility. The three weights above decide the order; a position is a ranking against the other European tools in this category, not an absolute score.

Vendor-reported outcomes — ROI figures, margin uplift, time saved — are labelled as vendor claims wherever they appear on this page. We have not audited them, and neither has anyone else who quotes them. Read our full editorial process for how pages are re-verified.

Frequently asked questions

RELEX Solutions from Finland is the broadest option in this directory, covering demand forecasting, replenishment, allocation, promotion planning and price optimisation for retailers and manufacturers. ToolsGroup (Amsterdam) and OMP (Belgium) are the strongest alternatives for manufacturing and distribution networks, and Sunstice (formerly FuturMaster) adds revenue growth management. All four sell on quote, so the best fit is decided in a proof of concept on your own sales history.

ToolsGroup, Lokad and Vekia describe probabilistic forecasting on their own pages, and Flowlity describes probabilistic AI forecasting as well. Instead of one expected number per product they produce a range of outcomes with probabilities, which feeds safety stock and order quantities. Lokad traces the method back to quantile forecasts in 2012 and probabilistic forecasts in 2016, according to the vendor.

Optiply publishes its plan prices: Starter from €610 per month from 1,000 sales orders per month, Professional from €1,610 and Enterprise from €2,380, with a yearly option that saves 20 percent (pricing page, 23 October 2026). Lokad and Intuendi describe flat monthly fees without a list, and RELEX Solutions, ToolsGroup, OMP, Sunstice, Slimstock, Syncron, Vekia and Flowlity quote after a demo.

Syncron, headquartered in Stockholm, is the one built around the aftermarket: service parts planning, dealer inventory, parts pricing and warranty. ToolsGroup lists aftermarket parts among its industries and Lokad publishes aeronautics and automotive solution pages. RELEX Solutions, Intuendi and Optiply fit better when the range is sold through shops or online.

Flowlity shows a Start free trial button beside its demo button, and Lokad says a free trial account can be requested by email. The other tools in this category offer a demo on request. Because forecast quality only shows against your own history, ask any vendor to run a test on a year of your actual orders before you commit.

Lokad is partly both. Its pages describe a team of supply chain scientists who write the decision logic in the Envision scripting language and run it every day, and its fixed monthly fee covers a platform fee and a support fee per module. Your planners do not usually adjust forecasts by hand in Lokad, so teams that want that interface should compare Slimstock or ToolsGroup.
