European AI Voice Agent Platforms

An AI voice agent picks up the phone, talks to the caller and books, answers or escalates without a person on the line. Every call is a recording and a transcript of a customer or a lead, so the contracting entity and the hosting region of the platform decide a lot about your GDPR exposure. These European platforms cover receptionist bots for small firms, outbound sales callers and enterprise contact-centre agents.

How we rank these tools — 4-step process
  1. 1
    European ownership, verified

The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA, the UK, Switzerland or Israel, and processes customer data in Europe or Israel. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.

  2. 2
    Category fit and hands-on review

What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.

  3. 3
    Compliance and pricing check

GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.

  4. 4
    Position on this page

Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect the order tools appear in. It never buys a listing: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Vendors can pay for more visibility, higher up on the review pages; it never affects whether a tool is listed. Editorial policy

Key takeaways

  • sipgate sona from Düsseldorf is the only platform in this category that lets you start for nothing without a time limit: sipgate gives the base version 500 call minutes a month and one phone number.
  • Famulor, fonio and Revox each publish a price in euro, but they count different things: Famulor charges per minute, fonio sells monthly plans with minutes included, and Revox charges per prospect worked.
  • telli, GetVocal, Parloa, VITAS and NiCE Cognigy publish no price, so a budget for these five starts with a demo request.
  • GetVocal in Paris is the platform that offers on-premise, self-hosted, EU-hosted and hybrid deployment, and it puts a human supervisor in the approval path for agent decisions.
  • PolyAI in London is the one UK company in this list, so its European customers rely on the UK adequacy decision, and AINORA states that its standard setup processes calls in the EU and the US as well.

European AI voice agents are software platforms that answer or place phone calls with a speech-driven agent, run by a company established in the EU, the UK or Israel, which matters because every call produces a recording and a transcript of a customer and the contracting entity decides which law governs that data.

Every European AI voice agent reviewed

#1 sipgate sona

Düsseldorf, Germany Base version free: 500 call minutes a month and one phone number; paid tariffs for more minutes or system connections Demo on request

Best for: German-speaking small and mid-size firms that want a phone agent running without a consulting project

  • Operating company. sipgate GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Germany (per sipgate)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Vapi, Retell AI, Bland AI

sipgate sona is an AI phone agent that sipgate GmbH of Düsseldorf adds to the business phone accounts it already sells. The base version has no fee and covers 500 call minutes a month and one number, and sipgate explains the price by saying it owns its language models, servers and telephony, so there is no third-party model licence to pass on.

sipgate quotes more than 40,000 business customers for its telephony, which is its own figure. The agent reads CRM or ERP data before a call, books appointments and creates tickets during it, and a dashboard shows live calls, escalation rate and common topics. Paid tariff prices, the list of supported languages and the claim that data stays in Germany were not independently verified, and the product page is in German.

What sipgate sona does well

  • Free base tier of 500 minutes a month
  • Models, servers and telephony from one German company, per sipgate
  • Set up in a dashboard, no onboarding fee
  • Reads and writes CRM and ERP records during calls
  • Live view of calls and topics

Where sipgate sona falls short

  • Prices for paid tariffs not visible on checked pages
  • Product page in German
  • Fewer options for custom flows than developer builders
  • Language list not verified

Standout feature. sipgate sona is the one agent in this list sold by a telephone carrier, with a free tier that does not expire.

#2 Famulor

Kempten (Allgäu), Germany Pay as you go from EUR 0.15 per minute with 800 free credits; Plus EUR 27 a month billed yearly (100 minutes, EUR 0.13 per extra minute); Pro EUR 103 a month billed yearly Demo on request

Best for: Agencies and small teams that design their own phone agents and resell them at a visible per-minute price

  • Operating company. BEK Service GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Frankfurt, Germany (database, files, sign-in)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Vapi, Retell AI, Bland AI

Famulor is a voice agent platform run by BEK Service GmbH in Kempten, with a London sister company named in the imprint. Agents are built in a visual flow editor, tested in simulated calls and then published, and the platform adds WhatsApp, SMS and email channels, calendar booking, call memory and knowledge crawling.

The price list shows EUR 0.15 per minute after 800 free credits, Plus at EUR 27 a month billed yearly and Pro at EUR 103 a month billed yearly, and a note that prices changed on 15 August 2026. The vendor says its database, files and sign-in sit in Frankfurt, while the AI region for speech and models is chosen per workspace, and the model list names GPT, Gemini, Grok and DeepSeek.

What Famulor does well

  • Euro rate per minute shown on the pricing page
  • Flow builder with call simulations
  • Supervisors can listen in, whisper or take over
  • Agencies can resell under their own brand
  • Database in Frankfurt, per the vendor

Where Famulor falls short

  • EU-only processing is a workspace choice
  • Plans and platform changed in August 2026
  • Some model providers are non-European
  • More set-up work than a prepared receptionist

Standout feature. Famulor is the builder here with a white-label reseller mode and a per-minute rate on the public price page.

#3 fonio

Vienna, Austria Phone assistant: Solo EUR 119 a month (EUR 99 billed yearly), Team EUR 359 (EUR 299 yearly), Scale from EUR 599 (EUR 539 yearly); excluding VAT Demo on request

  • Operating company. fonio GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Austria)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Vapi, Bland AI, answering services

fonio is a phone assistant from fonio GmbH in Vienna, where the imprint names Daniel Keinrath and Matthias Gruber as managing directors. The site is organised by profession, with pages for medical practices, law firms, tax advisers, estate agents, car dealerships and restaurants, and the assistant is configured with opening hours and company details.

The phone plans are Solo at EUR 119 a month (EUR 99 billed yearly) with 1,000 minutes and one number, Team at EUR 359 with 3,600 minutes, three concurrent calls and a dedicated SIP trunk, and Scale from EUR 599, excluding VAT. fonio lists 120+ voices and 60+ languages, a website chatbot and a WhatsApp bot on the same account, and zero data retention appears only in Scale. The pages checked do not name a processing region.

What fonio does well

  • Three phone plans with minutes included
  • 120+ voices and 60+ languages listed
  • Books into a connected calendar
  • Same account can add WhatsApp and website chat
  • Pages written for practices and trades

Where fonio falls short

  • No processing region on the checked pages
  • Zero data retention reserved for Scale
  • Solo allows no concurrent calls
  • Outbound calls add carrier charges

Standout feature. fonio is the only platform here that sells an inbound phone assistant in three minute-based tiers with a published price for each.

#4 telli

Berlin, Germany No public prices; demo and discovery call Demo on request

Best for: Companies placing qualification, win-back or appointment calls in volume

  • Operating company. telli technologies GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Vapi, Bland AI, Retell AI

telli is a voice AI platform from telli technologies GmbH in Berlin, registered under HRB 265661 at the Charlottenburg court. The home page names Sky and 1KOMMA5° as customers and carries a banner about a USD 15 million funding round.

telli Studio is a no-code builder, and an assistant called Charlie helps create agents and analyse calls. The platform lists parallel calling, smart dialing, live monitoring, Salesforce and HubSpot integrations, voice cloning and call outcomes with sentiment, and you can use telli numbers or your own through SIP trunking. There are no public prices, the privacy policy names no hosting region, and the site mentions both 20+ and 30+ languages.

What telli does well

  • No-code studio with an AI building assistant
  • Many calls in parallel without extra staff
  • Salesforce and HubSpot links
  • Call outcomes and reviewer ratings
  • Bring your own numbers over SIP

Where telli falls short

  • Prices only after a demo
  • Hosting region not named on checked pages
  • Two different language counts on the site
  • Meant for operations, not hobby use

Standout feature. telli pairs an outbound-oriented dialer with a building assistant named Charlie inside its studio.

#5 GetVocal

Paris, France Pricing on request; demo Demo on request

Best for: Regulated contact centres and outsourcers where a supervisor has to approve what the AI decides

  • Operating company. GetVocal SAS
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. EU-hosted, self-hosted or on-premise (customer's choice)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Vapi, Retell AI, Bland AI

GetVocal is a Paris platform for contact-centre agents, and its legal terms identify GetVocal SAS at 207 rue de Bercy as publisher. The Agent Control Tower is the supervision layer: operators monitor agents live, enforce policies, override an agent and audit each decision, and ContextGraphOS models business rules and escalation thresholds.

The home page shows an agent pausing for a supervisor before approving a product return, and names Teleperformance and ellio among customers. Deployment can be on-premise, self-hosted, EU-hosted or hybrid, and the vendor lists GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, the EU AI Act and HIPAA, which we did not verify independently. Entry is a 30-minute demo, and the footer names GetVocal AI Ltd while the terms name the SAS.

What GetVocal does well

  • Supervisor approval and override in the product
  • On-premise, self-hosted, EU-hosted and hybrid options
  • Decision traces and audit logs
  • Vendor lists the EU AI Act and ISO 27001
  • BPO customers named on the site

Where GetVocal falls short

  • No price list and no trial
  • Two different company names on the site
  • Targets large operations
  • Compliance claims not checked by us

Standout feature. GetVocal places a human approval step inside the agent's decision path and can be installed on your own servers.

#6 Revox

Saint-Mandé, France Starter EUR 100 excluding VAT a month for 200 prospects worked, then EUR 0.50 per prospect; up to 5 call attempts included Demo on request

Best for: Sales teams and agencies that want outbound calls charged per lead instead of per minute

  • Operating company. Daigest SAS
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. France and Europe
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Bland AI, Vapi, Retell AI

Revox is an outbound AI calling service operated by Daigest SAS from Saint-Mandé, and the privacy notice gives the address as 14 avenue du Général de Gaulle. It covers cold calls, instant callbacks to inbound leads, reactivation of dormant CRM contacts, qualification, booking and post-sale check-ins, and does not offer inbound reception.

The Starter plan costs EUR 100 excluding VAT a month for 200 prospects worked, then EUR 0.50 per prospect, with up to five attempts per prospect and unused credits rolling over. Revox says data is hosted in France and Europe, kept apart per customer and never used to train models. An MCP connector lets Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code or Codex create assistants and read call transcripts, and sample calls by sector are on the site.

What Revox does well

  • Charged per prospect worked
  • Five attempts per prospect inside the price
  • France and Europe hosting, per the vendor
  • MCP connector for AI assistants
  • Recorded sample calls by sector

Where Revox falls short

  • No inbound calls
  • No certification list on checked pages
  • Hosting provider not named
  • New company

Standout feature. Revox is the platform that counts prospects rather than minutes, so a call that fails and retries stays inside the same charge.

#7 Parloa

Berlin, Germany Custom enterprise pricing; no self-serve tier published, contact sales Demo on request

Best for: Large insurers, travel firms and retailers running contact centres on SAP and strict procurement checklists

  • Operating company. Parloa GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. NICE CXone, Five9, Genesys

Parloa is a Berlin platform for AI voice agents in enterprise contact centres, run by Parloa GmbH, and it covers designing, testing, scaling and optimising agents. Allianz, Booking.com and IKEA appear as references, and real-time translation lets one agent serve several markets without a separate build for each.

The compliance list on the site is ISO 27001:2022, SOC 2 Type 1 and 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA and DORA, and the platform holds an SAP Endorsed App Premium certification. Case studies claim a 90% reduction in switchboard workload and a 179% increase in NPS for an insurer; those figures are the vendor's own. There is no self-serve tier or public price, and each evaluation begins with a demo request.

What Parloa does well

  • Design, test, scale and optimise in one platform
  • One agent can run in several languages through live translation
  • ISO 27001:2022, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA and DORA listed
  • SAP Endorsed App Premium status
  • Allianz and Booking.com named as customers

Where Parloa falls short

  • No self-serve plan or published rate
  • Evaluation starts with a demo
  • Aimed at big contact centres
  • Case-study numbers come from the vendor

Standout feature. Parloa holds an SAP Endorsed App Premium certification and lists DORA among its compliance frameworks.

#8 VITAS

Nuremberg, Germany Not published on the pages checked Demo on request

Best for: German practices, care providers and offices that want routine calls turned into structured requests

  • Operating company. VITAS GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated beyond European data handling
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Answering machines, call-routing menus, Vapi

VITAS is a telephone assistant from VITAS GmbH in Nuremberg, whose imprint lists Zollhof 7, HRB 36296 and Thomas Abend as managing director. Callers speak instead of pressing keys, and the assistant records the request and shows it in structured form on the VITAS platform, with appointment requests and internal sick notes as the typical cases.

The news section on the site reports an ISO 27001 certification renewed in October 2025 and a C5 attestation in March 2026, both vendor statements. Customer quotes come from a cooking school and a rehabilitation provider. The site is in German, no prices or hosting region are published, and no flow builder or outbound calling is described.

What VITAS does well

  • ISO 27001 reported by the vendor
  • C5 attestation reported for March 2026
  • Requests arrive as structured summaries
  • No key-press menus for callers
  • German imprint with registry details

Where VITAS falls short

  • Prices not published
  • Site only in German
  • No builder or outbound calling described
  • Hosting region not given

Standout feature. VITAS is the platform in this list that reports a C5 attestation, the German federal cloud security catalogue.

Berlin, Germany Free to build agents in the platform; deployment billed pay-as-you-go, Enterprise plans from about $30,000/year Demo on request

Best for: Operations teams that want to prototype no-code call flows free of charge before committing to a large contract

  • Operating company. AgentFlow AI GmbH, trading as Synthflow AI
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. EU and US hosting options for deployed agents
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Vapi, Bland AI, Retell AI

Synthflow is a no-code platform for voice agents run by AgentFlow AI GmbH in Berlin, trading as Synthflow AI. Per its own FAQ, designing and testing a call flow from an industry template or from scratch costs nothing, and charges start once an agent takes real calls.

After that the published offer is an Enterprise plan from about $30,000 a year, adjusted for call volume, concurrency, telephony and integrations. Deployed agents can be hosted in the EU or the US, and the tool page lists SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, PCI DSS and ISO 27001. Synthflow claims more than 65 million voice calls a month across 30+ countries, which is its own figure, and its marketing mentions US, UK, EU and Canadian operations.

What Synthflow does well

  • Build and test agents without paying
  • Choice of EU or US hosting after deployment
  • Five security frameworks listed
  • Templates for common industries
  • Own telephony

Where Synthflow falls short

  • Enterprise plan starts near $30,000 a year
  • No published self-serve price after the free stage
  • English marketing aimed at US and UK buyers
  • Overlaps with Parloa in enterprise scope

Standout feature. Synthflow lets you build a full agent before paying and bills only from the point where it answers real callers.

#10 NiCE Cognigy

Düsseldorf, Germany Pricing on request Demo on request

Best for: Large contact centres already running Genesys, Avaya, 8x8 or NiCE that want voice agents and agent assist

  • Operating company. Cognigy GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Vapi, Retell AI, Bland AI

NiCE Cognigy is a conversational AI platform from Düsseldorf for voice and chat agents, and the legal notice names Cognigy GmbH at Kesselstraße 3 with HRB 79167 even though the site carries NiCE branding. Its customer stories list Lufthansa, Toyota, DHL, Frontier Airlines and Lidl.

The platform includes Agent Studio for building, voice connectivity to telephony systems, agent assist for human staff, proactive engagement, analytics and agent evaluation, with industry pages from airlines to utilities. Integrations are listed for Avaya, AWS, Genesys, NiCE, Microsoft and 8x8. Prices are on request, no hosting region was stated on the pages checked, and the contracting entity should be confirmed because of the branding.

What NiCE Cognigy does well

  • Voice, chat and agent assist in one product
  • Integrations with the major contact-centre systems
  • Pages by industry
  • Evaluation tools for agents
  • Large enterprise customers named

Where NiCE Cognigy falls short

  • Prices only on request
  • Unclear which entity signs contracts
  • Enterprise entry only
  • No hosting region on checked pages

Standout feature. NiCE Cognigy is the platform here designed to sit inside Genesys, Avaya, 8x8 and NiCE installations.

#11 PolyAI

London, United Kingdom Founded 2017 Enterprise (custom pricing) Demo on request

Best for: Enterprises that want to automate large volumes of inbound customer service calls

  • Operating company. PolyAI
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Google Contact Center AI, Amazon Connect, Nuance

PolyAI is a London company founded in 2017 as a spin-out from the University of Cambridge, with Nikola Mrksic, Pei-Hao Su and Tsung-Hsien Wen as co-founders. The tool page reports more than 100 enterprise customers in 25 countries, over $200 million in total funding and references including Marriott, Caesars Entertainment, UniCredit and Foot Locker.

The company builds voice assistants for customer service that let callers speak freely, interrupt and change topic, which it contrasts with menu-driven IVR. Pricing is custom and per minute, and launch needs design work. PolyAI is a UK company, so European customers rely on the UK adequacy decision instead of an EU establishment, which separates it from the German, French and Lithuanian companies here.

What PolyAI does well

  • Designed for voice from the start
  • Domain vocabulary can change during a conversation
  • Fast responses within enterprise guardrails, per the vendor
  • Calls answered without hold time
  • Context handed over when a call goes to a person

Where PolyAI falls short

  • Enterprise focus, self-build tools are recent
  • Per-minute pricing with no public rates
  • Design work needed before launch
  • UK establishment, outside the EEA

Standout feature. PolyAI is the only company in this list headquartered in the United Kingdom, with a Cambridge research origin.

#12 AINORA

Lithuania, Lithuania Fixed quote after a 30-minute consultation; no published price list Demo on request

Best for: Clinics, hospitality and service businesses that would rather have the agent designed and tuned for them

  • Operating company. AINORA, MB
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Lithuania)
  • Where the data sits. Germany and Finland (standard processing also in the US; full-EU setup on request)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Vapi, Bland AI, human answering services

AINORA is a managed voice agent service from AINORA, MB in Lithuania. A consultation about call volume and connected systems produces a written scope and a fixed quote, followed by around two weeks of build and testing, and nothing launches before the client approves the test recordings.

The pricing page names six cost drivers: call volume, industry complexity, integrations, languages, compliance needs and ongoing optimisation. Lithuanian, English and Russian are standard, with 90+ languages on request, and an account manager reviews transcripts weekly. The FAQ gives Germany and Finland as server locations but says standard processing also takes place in the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. No registration number was found and the demo phone number on the site is American.

What AINORA does well

  • Written quote before building starts
  • Account manager reads transcripts weekly
  • 90+ languages available on request
  • Test recordings approved before launch
  • Full-EU processing available on request

Where AINORA falls short

  • No price list
  • Standard processing includes the US
  • No registration number found
  • No self-service sign-up

Standout feature. AINORA is the only option here that is delivered as a scoped project with weekly transcript reviews by a named account manager.

How do I choose between a builder, a ready-made receptionist and a managed service?

Start with who will maintain the agent. Famulor, Synthflow and telli give you a builder in which someone on your side designs and changes call flows. fonio and sipgate sona ship a prepared assistant that you configure with opening hours, company information and connected systems, which suits an office with no developer. AINORA goes one step further and builds the agent for you after a consultation, then reviews transcripts weekly.

Next, decide the direction of the calls. Revox only places outbound calls. telli and Famulor handle both directions. VITAS, sipgate sona and fonio are primarily about answering the phone, although fonio lists outbound calls with its Team plan at carrier cost. Enterprise suites such as Parloa, GetVocal, PolyAI and NiCE Cognigy are inbound-first and sit in front of a contact centre.

The last filter is size. A practice with one phone line and a contact centre with hundreds of agents have almost nothing in common apart from the telephone, and the tools in this list split along that line more than along any feature.

What does a European AI voice agent cost?

Four pricing models appear. sipgate sona gives away 500 minutes a month. Famulor lists EUR 0.15 per minute with 800 free credits, and a Plus plan at EUR 27 a month billed yearly that includes 100 minutes and charges EUR 0.13 for each additional one. fonio sells the Solo phone plan at EUR 119 a month (EUR 99 billed yearly) with 1,000 minutes, Team at EUR 359 with 3,600 minutes and Scale from EUR 599, all excluding VAT.

Revox changes the unit: EUR 100 a month excluding VAT buys 200 prospects worked, then EUR 0.50 per prospect, with up to five call attempts each. Synthflow is free to build in and bills deployment pay-as-you-go, with an Enterprise plan from about $30,000 a year. AINORA sends a fixed quote after a 30-minute consultation.

Five platforms publish nothing: telli, GetVocal, Parloa, VITAS and NiCE Cognigy. PolyAI also sells on custom enterprise terms. For these, compare on a pilot quote, and ask whether telephony, speech, language model and carrier charges are inside the figure.

Does a European contracting entity mean my calls stay in Europe?

Not automatically, and the pages we checked show why. Famulor states that its database, files and sign-in are in Frankfurt, but the region for speech and language processing is a workspace setting between Global, EU and US. Synthflow offers EU and US hosting for deployed agents. AINORA keeps servers in Germany and Finland yet processes calls in the EU and the US in its standard setup, with a full-EU setup available on request.

Some vendors are more specific. sipgate states that its models, servers and telephony are its own and that data stays in Germany. Revox says it hosts in France and Europe. GetVocal lets the customer choose between EU-hosted, self-hosted and on-premise. fonio, telli, VITAS and NiCE Cognigy do not state a processing region on the pages we checked, so ask for it in writing together with the sub-processor list.

The contracting entity still carries weight, because it fixes the governing law and the supervisory authority. Every platform here contracts through a company in Germany, Austria, France, Lithuania or the United Kingdom, which is a different footing from a US corporation with an optional EU region.

What changes when I move from Vapi, Retell AI or Bland AI to a European platform?

The agent logic has to be rebuilt, because prompts, tools and call flows live in each platform's own format. Famulor and Synthflow are the closest in approach to the US developer platforms, with builders, simulations and testing before launch. Famulor adds a REST API and an MCP connector, and Revox exposes an MCP connector so that assistants such as Claude or ChatGPT can create agents and place calls.

Telephony is the second item. fonio's Team plan includes a dedicated SIP trunk and telli supports your own numbers over SIP trunking, so numbers from a carrier can usually be pointed at a new platform. Numbers issued by the old vendor have to be replaced.

Budget also for a comparison period. Run the old and the new agent in parallel on a share of calls and compare transcripts, because the European tools bundle speech, model and voice more tightly than the US stacks, and the combination you tuned will not exist one-to-one.

When is it better not to switch to a European voice agent?

Stay where you are if your engineers rely on picking each speech and language component by name, or on an API object model that nothing here replicates. No European platform in this list advertises that level of component choice, and the conversion cost is real.

Also pause if you have no compliance driver and the volume is low. A few hundred minutes a month on a free or usage-priced plan may not justify a migration project, and some European options need a demo call before you see any price.

And be careful with the enterprise tier. Parloa, GetVocal and NiCE Cognigy need sales cycles, and Synthflow's published Enterprise plan starts around $30,000 a year. If the real need is an answering assistant for one site, fonio or sipgate sona fit the problem at a fraction of that effort.

Which integrations should I check before signing?

Check calendars, CRM and telephony. fonio books into a connected calendar. sipgate sona reads CRM or ERP data before a call and creates tickets during it. telli lists Salesforce and HubSpot, and Parloa lists SAP integration with an SAP Endorsed App Premium certification. NiCE Cognigy names links to Avaya, AWS, Genesys, NiCE, Microsoft and 8x8.

Then check what happens to the call afterwards: transcripts, summaries and structured outcomes. VITAS presents requests in structured form on its dashboard, telli produces outcomes with evaluations, and Famulor offers outcome reports and quality scorecards. Ask where this data is stored and for how long, since zero data retention is limited to fonio's Scale plan.

How we selected and ranked these 12 tools

Every tool on this page is in the European Purpose directory, which means the operating company is established in Europe and we have verified that from the company register or the vendor's own legal notice rather than from a marketing page. Tools headquartered outside Europe are not eligible, however good they are.

  1. Feature verification (weight: 40%). We check each capability against the vendor's own documentation and product pages, and record what the tool does rather than what the category is assumed to include.
  2. Ease of adoption (weight: 30%). Integrations, published API access, trial availability and how much configuration stands between signing and a usable result.
  3. Value and transparency (weight: 30%). Published pricing counts in a vendor's favour; quote-only pricing is recorded as quote-only rather than estimated. We weigh what a buyer gets for the entry price, not the headline feature count.
  4. Editorial review. Every page is researched and drafted with AI assistance, and the compliance and pricing claims are checked against the vendor's documentation before it is published under the founder's editorial responsibility. The three weights above decide the order; a position is a ranking against the other European tools in this category, not an absolute score.

Vendor-reported outcomes — ROI figures, margin uplift, time saved — are labelled as vendor claims wherever they appear on this page. We have not audited them, and neither has anyone else who quotes them. Read our full editorial process for how pages are re-verified.

Frequently asked questions

No single platform wins on every criterion, so the answer depends on the use case. For a free start, sipgate sona. For a self-serve builder with a published per-minute rate, Famulor. For monthly plans for small offices, fonio. For outbound volume, telli or Revox. For regulated contact centres, GetVocal, Parloa, NiCE Cognigy or PolyAI. AINORA suits firms that want the agent built for them.

sipgate sona has a base version with 500 call minutes a month and one phone number, according to sipgate. Famulor starts with 800 free credits, and Synthflow lets you build agents free of charge before deployment is billed.

Famulor (EUR 0.15 per minute), fonio (plans from EUR 99 to EUR 119 a month for Solo) and Revox (EUR 100 a month for 200 prospects) publish euro figures. Synthflow publishes an Enterprise starting point of about $30,000 a year. telli, GetVocal, Parloa, VITAS and NiCE Cognigy do not.

Yes. Revox only does outbound, billed per prospect worked. telli lists lead qualification, reactivation and appointment setting, Famulor handles inbound and outbound, and fonio lists outbound calls with carrier charges on top of its plan.

GetVocal combines supervisor approval with on-premise and self-hosted deployment. Parloa lists ISO 27001:2022, SOC 2, PCI DSS, HIPAA and DORA. NiCE Cognigy integrates with Genesys, Avaya, 8x8 and NiCE platforms. VITAS reports ISO 27001 and a C5 attestation for German buyers.

Only a few say so on the pages we checked. Revox states in its privacy notice that recordings are never used to train models, and sipgate states that it runs its own models. For the others, ask for the sub-processor list and the training terms before sending real customer calls.
