Detailed Review
The terms state the products are owned and operated by UptimeRobot s.r.o. and are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, with the District Court of Bratislava I as the venue. A changelog in the terms also records a 2017 change of jurisdiction to Malta, so the older Malta reference is outdated.
Status pages were added in 2021 according to the terms changelog, and the pricing page now lists them on every plan.
What the plans change
The Free plan gives 5-minute checks, basic status pages and five integrations. Paid plans add intervals down to 60, 30 and 15 seconds, SSL and domain expiry alerts, and more integrations.
Status page counts are listed as 1, 3, 100 and unlimited across the four plans, with custom design, own domain, translations, white-label branding, password protection and subscribers in the feature table.
Monitoring types
The pricing page lists website and endpoint, keyword, ping, port, API, UDP, cron, DNS and third-party service monitoring. Failed checks are rechecked from a second data center in the same region before an alert.
Incidents and notifications
Incidents can carry root cause details, comments and post-mortems on paid plans. Notifications go by email, SMS, voice call and chat integrations, and SMS and voice credits are shared across team members.
Limitations to Consider
The Free plan has basic status pages and a limited set of integrations, and white-label and subscriber features sit on paid plans; check the table for which. SSL monitoring is only in paid plans, and SMS and voice credits are bought separately. The pages reviewed do not state data location, and the company city is not on the pages reviewed. It is less focused on incident communication than StatusPal.
Who Should Use UptimeRobot
Individuals, agencies and small companies that want an affordable monitor with a basic status page and are comfortable with a Slovak-law vendor.
