Detailed Review
hosttech is a Swiss hosting company from Richterswil on Lake Zurich, founded in 2004 by two founders who still lead it as CEO and CTO. hosttech gives its size as 48 employees and more than 60,000 customers. hosttech sells four web hosting plans on NVMe storage: Smart Deal with 50 GB, 10 domains and 512 MB of RAM, Hosting L with 150 GB and 20 domains, Hosting XL with 350 GB and 50 domains, and Hosting unlimited with 750 GB and unlimited domains.
Every hosttech plan includes unlimited mailboxes and a free Let's Encrypt certificate, with personal support from 7 to 22 hours.
The operating company is hosttech GmbH, Seestrasse 15a, 8805 Richterswil, UID CH-020.4.040.665-4, and its imprint names Manuel Kälin and Marius Meuwly as the partners entitled to represent it. hosttech states a Swiss server location for web hosting and lists five data centres in total, among them the DATAROCK facility in Nottwil, Switzerland, and a site in Berlin. hosttech states that its data centres are ISO 27001 certified, that it uses 100% certified green electricity and that it is PCI DSS certified.
hosttech lists Smart Deal from CHF 6.90 per month, Hosting L at CHF 9.90 during a promotion until 31 October 2026 (CHF 12.90 regular), Hosting XL at CHF 19.90 and Hosting unlimited at CHF 29.90, with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
The pages read do not say whether prices include VAT or what the minimum term is. hosttech suits Swiss buyers who want a lower entry price than Hostpoint, but it is outside the EU, which an EU-only contract clause will not accept.
