Detailed Review
Acronis built its name on backup and now sells RMM as part of the same cloud platform, formerly called Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud. The vendor says one console and a single agent cover endpoint management, backup, disaster recovery, EDR and XDR, and PSA integration.
The legal entity named in the Acronis customer privacy statement is Acronis International GmbH in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, unless a customer agreement names a different Acronis entity.
Management Features
The product page lists device discovery that finds managed and unmanaged devices, agent installation through Active Directory Group Policy, inventory of hardware and software, vulnerability assessment and patching for Microsoft products and more than 300 third-party Windows applications, and threshold-based as well as ML-based monitoring.
For remote work it names NEAR, RDP, Apple Screen Sharing and Quick Assist, plus AI-guided command-line remediation when direct access is not required.
AI-Assisted Scripting and Deployment
Scripts can be generated and reviewed with AI assistance and triggered when alerts fire. DeployPilot generates deployment commands and checks packages with digital signature validation and anti-malware scans. The vendor also describes AI-based patch stability scoring and fail-safe patching that can take a backup before selected patches are applied.
Who It Is Sold To
Acronis lists two routes: service providers pay through monthly usage licensing, while IT departments obtain Acronis RMM through a service provider. The vendor lists GDPR, NIS 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001 and PCI DSS under compliance.
Limitations to Consider
Acronis operates its marketing site from US offices according to its own site terms, and the product page asks IT departments to buy through a service provider rather than directly.
No public price list was found, and the contracting entity may differ from the Swiss GmbH if a customer agreement names another Acronis company. Patch coverage for third-party applications is stated for Windows, and feature availability varies by operating system. Compared with a standalone RMM it also ties you to the Acronis platform for backup and security.
Who Should Use Acronis RMM
Managed service providers and in-house IT teams in Europe that want RMM combined with backup and endpoint security under a Swiss vendor, and are comfortable standardising on one platform.
