Yousign vs Skribble

Yousign is a French signing service (the vendor's pages now say Yousign becomes Youtrust) with a free plan and flat per-user tiers. Skribble is Swiss, sells all three eIDAS levels in every paid plan and hosts in Switzerland. Yousign wins on a free start and cheap solo use; Skribble wins on included AES and QES signatures and stated Swiss-only processing.

Where Yousign and Skribble differ

Across the five points below, Yousign has the edge on 1 point, Skribble on 2 points and 2 are a tie. A count like that is a summary, not a verdict: the point that matters to you may be the one the other product wins.

Free start and solo price

Yousign's Free plan allows 2 signature requests a month, unlimited self-signing and one user, and its One plan costs €9 per month excl. VAT (€108 yearly). Skribble's Starter has no subscription, but every signature is paid per use (SES €1, AES €3, QES €5 in its plan table). For a freelancer who signs a few contracts, Yousign is cheaper to begin with.

Edge: Yousign

Advanced and qualified signatures

Skribble's Team plan (€23 per user per month excl. VAT, €276 yearly) includes 72 AES or QES signatures per user and year, and Pro (€36) includes 120. On Yousign, the Plus plan at the same €23 includes unlimited simple signatures only; AES is an extra-cost add-on for yearly billing and QES starts from €10 each. Skribble bundles more of the higher levels.

Edge: Skribble

Hosting, entity and processing

Skribble AG (Zurich) and Skribble Deutschland GmbH (Karlsruhe) are named in the imprint, and the vendor says data is hosted in Switzerland, ISO 27001 applies and nothing is processed in the US. Yousign's legal notice names Youtrust SAS in Caen, hosted by Amazon Web Services EMA SARL, a French branch. Both are European; Skribble states a stricter data-location promise.

Edge: Skribble

Seats and plan structure

Yousign's Plus and Pro are priced per user (€23 and €38 per month excl. VAT) and it points teams of more than 5 users to a tailored offer. Skribble's Team and Pro plans support up to 50 users, though it recommends up to 20, and larger groups go to its Scale quote. Neither publishes a flat price for big organisations, so size alone does not decide.

No clear winner on this point.

Integrations and automation

Yousign lists Zapier and HubSpot integrations from Plus, and bulk signing, document collection and SSO on Pro; its API is sold under a separate API pricing page. Skribble Pro lists an API and signing from Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive and Google Drive, with SSO charged extra and Salesforce on Scale. They solve different integration needs.

No clear winner on this point.

When neither Yousign nor Skribble fits

If neither fits, Scrive (Sweden) and Penneo (Denmark) are the other signing services on the site, and both are aimed at business processes rather than ad hoc contracts.

Yousign vs Skribble: questions

Yousign's own pages show a banner saying Yousign becomes Youtrust, and the legal notice names Youtrust SAS as publisher and operator. The product pages on yousign.com now use the Youtrust name, so expect the brand to change.

For occasional use Yousign: Free allows 2 requests a month and One costs €9 per month. For teams the list price is the same €23 per user per month, but Skribble Team includes 72 AES or QES signatures a year per user, while Yousign Plus includes unlimited simple signatures only.

Skribble says it hosts data in Switzerland to banking-level standards, is ISO 27001-certified and never processes data in the US. The contracting parties in its terms are Skribble AG in Zurich or Skribble Deutschland GmbH in Karlsruhe.

Yes. Yousign sells QES as an add-on from €10 per signature on Plus and Pro, and Skribble includes QES in Team and Pro with extra ones at €4.50 and €4. Skribble also charges a one-time identification fee of €24.50 for QES signers on its self-serve plans.
