Best for: DJs who want one app across phone, tablet and laptop with streaming catalogues
djay is the DJ app of Algoriddim GmbH, whose privacy policy gives a Munich street address and names managing director Karim Morsy as the company's representative. The company page dates Algoriddim to 2006. Its main difference from a file-based player is the music source: Spotify and Apple Music are built in, and the vendor says Apple Music reaches 167 countries.
The homepage lists iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows, Android, Vision Pro and Meta Quest, plus an Automix function. The pages we read show no prices, no data location and no hardware compatibility list, and the policy says subscription handling goes through a named third-party service. Streaming needs the matching Spotify or Apple Music plan on top.

- Spotify and Apple Music are built into the app
- Runs on iOS, Android, Mac and Windows, plus headsets

- Server location is not stated in the privacy policy
- No list of compatible controllers on the pages we read
- Streaming depends on third-party subscriptions you pay separately

On the DJ side, Mixxx detects BPM and key, locks tempo across four songs, chains effects, and accepts timecode vinyl for scratching. The mapping system is programmable for MIDI and HID devices. Funding is donations only. The pages we read give no platform list or licence name, no streaming integration, and a volunteer team answers support questions.
