Detailed Review
Scrada started from Belgian bookkeeping rules: its digital daybook and cash book follow the provisions of the accounting law and a circular of the Belgian tax authority, according to the site. A Peppol inbox for receiving purchase invoices and sending sales invoices is part of the plans.
The company is Scrada BV, Belgian enterprise number BE 0793.904.121, registered in the Ghent register. The site is available in Dutch, French and English.
Peppol Through an API
Scrada offers two API versions. The Peppol-only API sends invoices on behalf of any company to any company on Peppol, accepts either a Peppol BIS 3 file or JSON that Scrada converts, and can check whether a company is on Peppol. The full version adds delivery to accounting packages and e-mail fallback.
Sent UBL files are kept available for up to three months; longer retention would be an extra cost.
Books and Peppol Together
The daybook plan costs EUR 6.50 a month excluding VAT, the cash book the same, and both together EUR 13. These include up to 60 sales invoices a year via Peppol, with more possible as an option. A 15-booking-day trial is free.
Integrations
Scrada lists cash register, pre-accounting, accounting and payment provider links, and a Postman collection for testing the API.
Limitations to Consider
Scrada is Belgium-focused, so it does not cover the multi-country compliance of larger platforms. Peppol volume beyond 60 invoices a year is priced as an option that is not shown on the pages reviewed. The Peppol-only API can only be bought by developers. Retention of sent UBL files is three months by default. For multi-country needs see Invopop.
Who Should Use Scrada
Belgian retailers, hospitality businesses and small firms that need legal digital books and Peppol, and POS vendors integrating Peppol in Belgium.
