Our review
Mixlr's terms say the site is owned and operated by Mixlr Ltd, registered in England and Wales under number 07384299, at 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. English law governs the terms.
Mixlr is a live-audio broadcaster, not a remote interview recorder. It matches Riverside's live streaming product more than its studio, and its use cases include podcasting, radio and conferences.
Mixlr Studio
Mixlr Studio is described as audio streaming software for broadcasters: broadcast live, record studio-quality audio locally, run unlimited inputs, trigger sound effects and playlists, chat with listeners and edit recordings.
Each channel gets a page showing upcoming events and past recordings.
Plans
The pricing page lists Intermediate at EUR 49 per month billed monthly or EUR 38 per month billed annually, with unlimited live streaming and up to 120 recordings or uploads. Advanced and Enterprise tiers are also listed, and a free start is offered.
The recording cap means a long archive needs a higher plan or external storage.
Against Riverside
Riverside records remote guests on separate tracks. The Mixlr text we read does not describe guest recording, so it is a complement for live shows more than a substitute.
Hosting location and a registered data-protection contact are not on the pages we read.
Known limits
No remote guest studio is described, recordings are capped at 120 on Intermediate, and the imprint page returned no content. Server location is not stated.
Who Mixlr fits
Live radio, sport commentary, faith and event broadcasters. Interview-based shows should look at Cleanfeed.
