Detailed Review
Easygenerator is built around the idea that the people closest to the work write the training, so the editor is a browser tool with templates rather than a slide-based design program. The company is Easygenerator B.V., and its EULA is governed by Dutch law with disputes settled by the court in Amsterdam.
Its plans count authors, not learners. The Pro plan covers one author with 10 courses and 100 learners, while the Team plan starts at five authors with unlimited courses and unlimited learners.
Author-Based Pricing
The pricing page states that price is per author, meaning each licence gives one person access to create and manage courses, while learners are unlimited on Team and Enterprise. For a training department with a few builders and thousands of employees taking courses, that is easier to budget than a per-learner model.
The Team plan adds co-authoring, unlimited reviewers, results tracking and learner analytics, which Pro does not include.
AI Inside the Authoring Flow
The vendor lists an AI course builder, AI editor, image generation and an Ask AI feature in every plan from Pro to Enterprise, with no add-on charge. Separate paid add-ons exist for EasyTranslate (translation into 75 languages), EasyVideo and EasyCoach.
Easygenerator also states that personal data is mostly processed in the EU, and that sub-processors outside the EU are covered by a DPA with EU standard clauses.
Export and Hosting
Courses go out as dynamic SCORM, SCORM files or xAPI, and the vendor lists a data center in Frankfurt on AWS, ISO 27001 certification and end-to-end encryption.
AWS is a US-owned infrastructure provider, so the contracting entity is Dutch but a part of the stack is not European.
Limitations to Consider
Easygenerator is a template-driven editor, so it does not offer the free-form triggers and variables of a slide-based tool such as Articulate Storyline. The Pro plan is capped at one author, 10 courses and 100 learners, which is tight for any real rollout. The pricing page showed US dollar prices by default in the view we saw, and hosting runs on AWS in Frankfurt. For interactive video use hihaho; for open-source content use H5P.
Who Should Use Easygenerator
Training managers and subject experts in European companies who want to build SCORM courses themselves, pay per author and keep the contracting entity and data processing in the EU.
