Detailed Review
Denteo takes the opposite route from installed dental software: nothing runs in the practice, and the vendor handles backups and storage. Its site says more than 450 clinics use it and that the company has worked on it since 2017.
Where most vendors in this category ask for a call before naming a price, Denteo prints its tariffs. A dentist who works full time pays a fixed monthly rate per provider, and assistants use the system at no charge.
Pricing you can read
The tariff page lists two tiers. Basic covers calendar, billing, estimates, recalls, patient history, tooth chart and periodontal status, while Plus adds online booking, digital intake, online estimates, online invoices and satisfaction surveys. Part-time dentists, defined as a workload of 50 percent or less, pay roughly half. Text messages are charged per message and a one-off setup fee applies, so budget for that on day one.
Where the data lives
Denteo states that it keeps all data in certified data centres in Switzerland run by Exoscale, with automatic backups. Switzerland is outside the EU but has an adequacy relationship with it, and the contracting company is Swiss, which is why it qualifies for this directory.
Switching from another vendor
The FAQ describes a first call with an onboarding manager, a data transfer arranged with your old provider, and X-ray device connections. Training sessions run several times a month at lunchtime. The vendor says it works with Swiss providers such as ZaWin, DentaGest and ErgoDent to make the move.
Limitations to Consider
Denteo is built for Switzerland, so billing, estimates and the OneDoc booking link follow Swiss practice and do not suit a German or French clinic. It is browser based only, with no local server edition, and the CHF 3,900 setup fee is large for a one-chair surgery. The company is young compared with Dampsoft or EVIDENT.
Who Should Use Denteo
Swiss dental practices ready to leave an installed system and willing to work in a browser against a published monthly tariff.
