Detailed Review
Ayfie describes itself as a context layer between a company's data and every AI experience its staff use. Connectors read the sources, the index keeps track of what is current and who may see it, and the assistant and agents answer from that index with a link to the source.
The legal entities named in its disclosures are Ayfie International AS, organisation number 917913773, and Ayfie AS, formerly VirtualWorks AS. The site also points to an Oslo Stock Exchange investor page.
Index, Assistant and Agents
The Index is the foundation and is priced separately from the assistant. The AI assistant answers questions, drafts documents and summarises threads, and each answer links to the source it used. Agents can be built in Ayfie Make or taken ready-made, with partner agents available as well.
Employees can reach Ayfie from Slack, Teams or Copilot, or developers can embed it through the API.
Connectors and Access Rights
The connector list includes Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange and Teams, Confluence, Jira, iManage, NetDocuments, file servers, generic SQL and several Norwegian public-sector and case systems such as ePhorte, P360 and Acos Websak. Ayfie states that every connector respects the access already in place and that Active Directory rights are mirrored.
Its MCP servers are said to keep strict access rights when pulling data from external applications.
Deployment and Security
Customers can choose secure SaaS, a private cloud or full on-premises installation. The security page lists ISO 27001 certification, AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2 or higher in transit, SSO, and local LLM hosting for maximum sovereignty.
Ayfie says nothing leaves the customer environment and that nothing is used to train models.
Limitations to Consider
The visible connector list leans toward Norwegian public-sector and legal systems, so an international company should check that its own systems are covered. Norway is in the EEA but outside the EU, which some procurement rules treat differently. The Index is priced separately from the per-user assistant, so the monthly total is higher than the per-seat figure suggests. No trial terms were found on the pricing page.
Who Should Use Ayfie
Nordic public bodies, law firms and mid-sized companies that run case, document and e-mail systems already covered by Ayfie connectors and want an assistant with source links.
