European Treasury Management Software

Treasury software sees every bank balance, payment run and forecast of a company, which makes it one of the most sensitive finance systems to place with a vendor. These European tools cover cash visibility, payments, forecasting, deal management and FX, and each contracting entity is registered in the EU, the UK or Switzerland.

How we rank these tools — 4-step process
  1. 1
    European ownership, verified

The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA, the UK, Switzerland or Israel, and processes customer data in Europe or Israel. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.

  2. 2
    Category fit and hands-on review

What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.

  3. 3
    Compliance and pricing check

GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.

  4. 4
    Position on this page

Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect the order tools appear in. It never buys a listing: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Vendors can pay for more visibility, higher up on the review pages; it never affects whether a tool is listed. Editorial policy

Key takeaways

  • Atlar (Stockholm) sells treasury in four tiers, from a Connect tier that only links banks to the ERP up to a managed Enterprise plan.
  • Treasury Systems (Stockholm) is the tool in this list with deal entry for FX, loans, bonds and swaps plus a built-in accounting ledger, and it takes its cash module from Nomentia.
  • Fides (Zurich) is a certified Swift service bureau and states 13,000+ bank connections, the largest bank count after Embat's 15,000+ institutions.
  • Agicap (Lyon) is an annual subscription with a 12-month minimum, and its receivables forecast uses each customer's actual DSO.
  • Kantox (Barcelona) automates FX hedging through two regulated entities, one in Spain and one in the UK, and TreasurySpring (UK) only covers investing surplus cash.

European treasury management software is the group of cloud tools that connect to a company's banks and ERP to show cash positions, run payments, forecast liquidity and manage FX, debt and investments, and choosing a provider contracting in the EU, UK or Switzerland keeps bank balances and payment files under a European legal entity.

  • Operating company. Atlar AB
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Sweden)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kyriba, GTreasury, Trovata

Atlar is a Stockholm treasury platform that covers cash management, payments, cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliation, investments and debt management. Its packaging is the distinctive part: Connect links banks to the ERP with no dashboard, Essential adds cash reporting, Professional adds payments and forecasting, and Enterprise adds priority support and unlimited audit trails. Essential keeps audit trails to 12 months and Professional to 36.

The privacy policy names Atlar AB, registration number 559376-9044, as controller. The site claims 100+ bank connections and names NetSuite, Dynamics 365, SAP S/4HANA, Workday, Rillet, Campfire and Light as ERP integrations. FX risk is shown as coming soon, no prices are published, and the homepage announces a New York headquarters, so ask which entity signs the order.

What Atlar does well

  • Tiered plans from connectivity only to full suite
  • 100+ banks stated on the site
  • Named ERP integrations including SAP S/4HANA and NetSuite
  • Audit trail up to unlimited in Enterprise
  • Swedish entity named in the privacy policy

Where Atlar falls short

  • No published prices

#2 Embat

Madrid, Spain Plans section on the site without figures, see website Demo on request

Best for: Mid-sized groups with several entities and ERPs that want treasury, reconciliation and payments together

  • Operating company. Embat Technologies, S.L.

  • Replaces. Kyriba, GTreasury

Embat is a Madrid platform that groups cash flow forecasting, intercompany operations, counterparty and debt management, reconciliation, payments and a connectivity hub. Its pages list bank connections via API, host-to-host, EBICS and SWIFT and state coverage of 15,000+ financial institutions. Bank and PSP reconciliation sits in the same system as the forecast, with Stripe, Adyen and PayPal named as processors.

The legal notice names Embat Technologies, S.L., tax ID B-16808693, at Calle Basilica 17, Madrid, and the site lists offices in London, Berlin and Munich. • Spanish entity with full registration details

#3 Nomentia

Espoo, Finland Quote only; no prices published Demo on request

Best for: Treasury and finance teams that want automated receipt matching connected to banks and ERPs

  • Operating company. Nomentia Oy
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Finland)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages we reviewed
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. HighRadius cash application, Billtrust

Nomentia, based in Espoo, sells a Smart Treasury Suite of bank connectivity, payments, cash positioning and forecasting. For incoming money its Cash Application module reads bank statements, pairs each receipt with an open invoice by rule and returns the postings to the ERP; the vendor says it flags short payments and overpayments and keeps a live view of unapplied cash. A treasury team can license it alone or inside the suite.

Nomentia Oy, registration number 2855557-7, is the controller named in the privacy policy, and the company lists subsidiaries in Sweden, Austria, Germany, Poland and the Netherlands. Its board page shows Verdane, Inflexion and PSG Equity, of which PSG is a US firm, so ownership is investor-backed rather than purely European. Prices are by quote, no data region is given, and Treasury Systems builds its cash management on Nomentia.

What Nomentia does well

  • Finnish contracting entity
  • Receipt matching with exception routing
  • Bank and ERP connectivity
  • Subsidiaries across the EU
  • Works standalone or inside the suite

Where Nomentia falls short

  • No collections or dispute module described
  • Quote-only pricing
  • No stated data region

#4 Agicap

Lyon, France Annual subscription, minimum 12 months, plan prices not shown on the page checked Demo on request

Best for: SMEs and mid-sized companies that want cash forecasting before a full treasury system

  • Operating company. AGICAP (SAS)
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated for the application on pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kyriba, spreadsheets

Agicap is a French cash flow platform for forecasting, payments, bank and ERP connectivity, bank reconciliation, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Forecasts follow bank and accounting flows, and the receivables module adjusts them with each customer's actual DSO. It positions itself on cash flow, not on deal-level treasury, and has no instrument accounting.

The terms name AGICAP, an SAS registered in Lyon under number 823 248 703, and a separate legal notice names AGICAP UK Limited. • French SAS with register number
  • Bank and ERP connectivity

#5 Treasury Intelligence Solutions

Berlin, Germany By quote Demo on request

Best for: Groups that need to standardise payments and bank statements across many banks

  • Operating company. Treasury Intelligence Solutions GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kyriba, GTreasury payment modules

Treasury Intelligence Solutions, abbreviated TIS, is a Berlin vendor with two products on one cloud platform: a Payments Hub and Cash Visibility. The hub covers cross-border and FX payments, U.S. payment orchestration, fraud protection, sanctions screening and approval workflows, and the site states connectivity to 11k+ banks with an out-of-the-box format library.

Cash Visibility adds bank account and statement management, AI cash forecasting that recalibrates on its own history, and an AI assistant with an audit trail, according to the site. TIS calls itself a platform layer, not a deal management system. The imprint names Treasury Intelligence Solutions GmbH at Charlottenstrasse 17, Berlin, with three managing directors. No prices or data location are published.

What Treasury Intelligence Solutions does well

  • Payments hub with fraud and sanctions screening
  • 11k+ bank connections stated
  • AI forecasting and assistant
  • German GmbH with named directors
  • Approval workflows

Where Treasury Intelligence Solutions falls short

  • No published prices
  • No debt or instrument module listed

#6 Serrala

Norderstedt (Hamburg area), Germany Pricing on request Demo on request

Best for: Companies running SAP that also want payments and treasury from the same vendor

  • Operating company. Serrala Group GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on the pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Bill.com, Coupa, Tipalti

Serrala is a finance automation vendor whose legal page names Serrala Group GmbH in Norderstedt, registered at the Amtsgericht Kiel under HRB 25634. The accounts payable suite splits into invoice capture, invoice processing, a supplier portal and e-invoicing, and the vendor adds payments and treasury modules for SAP and other ERPs. Its about page says it has served the office of the CFO for over 40 years.

The e-invoicing page lists compliant exchange in more than 60 countries, and the AP side offers duplicate detection and configurable approvals. Treasury is described in general terms, without bank counts or hedging detail. Pricing is on request and the suite is large for small teams. SAP integration depth is the main argument for choosing Serrala.

What Serrala does well

  • German contracting entity with register details published
  • Supplier portal included in the AP suite
  • E-invoicing coverage in 60+ countries
  • SAP integration focus
  • AP, payments and treasury from one vendor

Where Serrala falls short

  • No published pricing
  • General product descriptions with few specifics
  • Large suite for small teams
  • Data location not stated on the pages checked

Standout feature. Serrala is the one tool here that connects invoice capture and e-invoicing to the payment and treasury run.

#7 Treasury Systems

Stockholm, Sweden Founded 1984 By quote Demo on request

Best for: Corporate treasuries that manage FX, loans and derivatives and need accounting and limits in one system

  • Operating company. Treasury Systems Sweden AB
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Sweden)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kyriba, Excel treasury models

Deal entry covers FX spot, forwards, swaps, NDFs and options, loans, deposits, repos, bonds and interest rate and cross-currency swaps, with add-ons for guarantees, commodities and energy. A built-in ledger creates preliminary accounting when a deal is saved.

Custom limits cover refinancing, counterparty, market value and subsidiary risk, with notifications near a breach, and FXall and 360T can feed confirmed deals in. The vendor says treasurers at more than 90 international companies use it. The footer names Treasury Systems Sweden AB at Valhallavagen 117F, Stockholm. Cash management is powered by Nomentia, prices are by quote and hosting is not described.

What Treasury Systems does well

  • Broad instrument coverage in deal entry
  • Built-in accounting ledger
  • Continuous limit monitoring
  • Power BI reporting
  • Vendor active since 1984

Where Treasury Systems falls short

  • Cash module via a partner
  • No published prices
  • Hosting not described
  • Overkill for forecasting-only needs

Standout feature. Treasury Systems is the only tool here that books deals, creates preliminary accounting and monitors four types of limit in one system.

#8 Fides

Zurich, Switzerland By quote Demo on request

  • Cash pooling module
  • Swiss company with long history

#10 TreasurySpring

United Kingdom (city not stated), United Kingdom No onboarding fees or recurring charges, investment fees not stated Demo on request

Best for: Companies with surplus cash looking for a place to invest it

  • Operating company. TreasurySpring Limited
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated on pages checked
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Kyriba investment modules

TreasurySpring is a UK cash investment platform covering the investment side of treasury. It lists over 1,100 investment-grade cash products across more than 120 counterparties and 9 currencies, including reverse repo and government, supranational, financial and corporate products, and says it has over 1,000 institutional clients. Customers use a web portal, integrations or a public API.

The footer names TreasurySpring Limited, TreasurySpring Advisors Limited and TreasurySpring Management (Jersey) Limited, the last regulated by the Jersey Financial Services Commission. Onboarding is described as live across entities in 48 to 72 hours after KYC and AML checks. It does no forecasting, payments or bank connectivity, so it complements a cash tool such as Atlar. Investment fees are not stated.

What TreasurySpring does well

  • 1,100+ cash products stated
  • Portal and public API
  • No onboarding fees
  • UK entity named
  • Quick onboarding stated

Where TreasurySpring falls short

  • Not a TMS
  • Fees on investments not stated
  • Jersey entity involved
  • No forecasting

Standout feature. TreasurySpring is the only tool here dedicated to placing surplus corporate cash in investment products.

How do I choose between a cash platform and a full treasury management system?

Start with the job that hurts. Atlar, Embat and Agicap are cash layers: they pull balances from banks and ERPs, run payments and build forecasts. Treasury Systems is a system of record for deals, with deal entry for FX spot, forwards, swaps, NDFs and options, loans, deposits, repos and bonds, and a ledger that creates preliminary accounting when a deal is saved. A company with no derivatives rarely needs the second kind.

Two tools sit below both. Fides and Treasury Intelligence Solutions handle bank connectivity and payment routing, and usually run beside an ERP. Kantox and TreasurySpring cover single jobs, FX hedging and cash investing. Many mid-sized groups end up with a cash layer plus one specialist, rather than one product that does everything.

How are European treasury tools priced?

None of the ten tools publishes a price list. Atlar names four plans, Connect, Essential, Professional and Enterprise, all by quote. Embat shows a plans section without figures, and Agicap states an annual subscription with a minimum of 12 months, payable by SEPA direct debit or debit card. Treasury Systems, Fides, Kantox and Treasury Intelligence Solutions are by quote.

TreasurySpring is the exception on structure: the vendor states no onboarding fees or recurring charges, but investment fees are not stated. Ask every vendor to quote for the same scope, namely number of banks, entities, payment volume and modules, otherwise the numbers cannot be compared.

How do I check where a treasury vendor's data sits and who contracts with me?

Read the imprint and privacy policy for the exact legal entity, not the brand. Atlar AB is named in a Swedish privacy policy, Embat Technologies, S.L. in a Madrid legal notice, Treasury Intelligence Solutions GmbH in a Berlin imprint and Fides Treasury Services AG in Zurich. Fides and TreasurySpring contract outside the EEA, in Switzerland and the United Kingdom, both under adequacy decisions.

Data location is a separate question. None of the pages checked for these tools states a hosting region, so ask for it in writing. Also check for second entities: Agicap has a UK company beside the French SAS, Kantox has Kantox Limited in London, and Atlar's homepage announces a New York headquarters.

What do I need to replace when moving from Kyriba or GTreasury?

List the modules your team uses, not the ones you bought. Bank connectivity is covered by Fides (13,000+ connections stated), Treasury Intelligence Solutions (11k+) and Embat (15,000+ institutions). Payments with approval chains come with Atlar Professional, Embat and Treasury Intelligence Solutions. Hedge accounting and instrument books point to Treasury Systems, and FX automation to Kantox.

Migration work sits in master data: bank accounts, signatories, payment templates and forecast categories. Run the old system read-only for a quarter so past forecast variances can still be reported, and ask the new vendor for its ERP connector list first. Atlar names NetSuite, Dynamics 365, SAP S/4HANA and Workday, Embat names Business Central, NetSuite, SAP Business One, Sage 200 and S/4HANA.

When should a company not switch to a European treasury tool?

Stay where you are when your treasury depends on breadth that no single European vendor here covers: dozens of banks, in-house banking, supplier financing and complex hedge programmes in one platform. The tools in this list are narrower, and several state fewer details on attestations than a large US platform does on its trust pages.

Also stay when the switch buys little. Treasury Systems' cash module runs on Nomentia, so a treasurer who wants one contract for everything may end up with two. Agicap's 12-month term and TreasurySpring's status as an investment platform rather than a TMS are further reasons to check scope before moving.

Which tools fit an SAP landscape?

Serrala is built around SAP and sells AP, payments and treasury modules for it, although its pages describe treasury in general terms. Atlar lists SAP S/4HANA among its integrations, Embat lists SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business One, and Kantox connects by API and SFTP to SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics and NetSuite.

Ask each vendor whether the connector is bidirectional and how often it syncs. Embat says its sync is bidirectional and runs every few minutes, which is a claim to verify in a demo with your own chart of accounts.

How we selected and ranked these 10 tools

Every tool on this page is in the European Purpose directory, which means the operating company is established in Europe and we have verified that from the company register or the vendor's own legal notice rather than from a marketing page. Tools headquartered outside Europe are not eligible, however good they are.

  1. Feature verification (weight: 40%). We check each capability against the vendor's own documentation and product pages, and record what the tool does rather than what the category is assumed to include.
  2. Ease of adoption (weight: 30%). Integrations, published API access, trial availability and how much configuration stands between signing and a usable result.
  3. Value and transparency (weight: 30%). Published pricing counts in a vendor's favour; quote-only pricing is recorded as quote-only rather than estimated. We weigh what a buyer gets for the entry price, not the headline feature count.
  4. Editorial review. Every page is researched and drafted with AI assistance, and the compliance and pricing claims are checked against the vendor's documentation before it is published under the founder's editorial responsibility. The three weights above decide the order; a position is a ranking against the other European tools in this category, not an absolute score.

Vendor-reported outcomes — ROI figures, margin uplift, time saved — are labelled as vendor claims wherever they appear on this page. We have not audited them, and neither has anyone else who quotes them. Read our full editorial process for how pages are re-verified.

Frequently asked questions

Atlar and Embat are the closest to a modern cash, payments and forecasting platform for mid-sized groups, Nomentia adds automated cash application, and Treasury Systems covers deal management and accounting. Fides, Treasury Intelligence Solutions, Kantox and TreasurySpring each cover one slice. The right pick depends on whether you need cash visibility, instrument accounting or connectivity.

Treasury Systems has a built-in accounting ledger that creates preliminary accounting when a deal is saved. Kantox sells a Hedge Accounting Module that the vendor states is powered by Zanders and produces audit-ready reports. The cash-layer tools Atlar, Embat and Agicap do not describe hedge accounting on the pages checked.

No tool in this list publishes figures. Atlar names four plans by quote, Agicap states a 12-month minimum subscription, and TreasurySpring states no onboarding fees or recurring charges. Expect to request quotes and to fix the scope of banks, entities and modules first.

Fides is based in Zurich and TreasurySpring in the United Kingdom, and both countries hold EU adequacy decisions, so personal data can flow to them. They sit outside the EEA, though, and TreasurySpring also involves a Jersey entity, so check which entity signs your contract.

Agicap targets SMEs and mid-sized companies and starts at cash forecasting, and Atlar's Connect tier is the narrowest scope. Treasury Systems and Serrala are larger systems, aimed at treasurers with instruments to manage or finance teams consolidating AP, payments and treasury.

By vendor claims, Embat states 15,000+ financial institutions, Fides 13,000+ bank connections, Treasury Intelligence Solutions 11k+ banks, Treasury Systems over 10,000 institutions through Nomentia and Atlar 100+ banks. Counts are defined differently, so test your own banks in a demo.
