European SEO Crawler and Site Audit Tools

A site crawler requests every URL of a website the way a search bot would and reports broken links, redirect chains, duplicate titles, blocked pages and rendering gaps. These European crawlers and audit tools run from the UK, France, Germany, Estonia, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic, and several can be installed on your own computer so that crawl results never reach a vendor server at all.

How we rank these tools — 4-step process
  1. 1
    European ownership, verified

The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA, the UK, Switzerland or Israel, and processes customer data in Europe or Israel. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.

  2. 2
    Category fit and hands-on review

What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.

  3. 3
    Compliance and pricing check

GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.

  4. 4
    Position on this page

Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect the order tools appear in. It never buys a listing: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Vendors can pay for more visibility, higher up on the review pages; it never affects whether a tool is listed. Editorial policy

Key takeaways

  • Audisto of Gernsbach, Germany, lists unlimited crawls per month on both its Crawler and Monitoring plans and caps only the size of each crawl, starting at 10,000 HTML pages.
  • Screaming Frog of Henley-on-Thames runs on the user's own computer, so no crawl data reaches a vendor, and it costs GBP 199 a year for an unlimited licence or nothing up to 500 URLs.
  • JetOctopus of Tallinn and Seolyzer of Choisy-le-Roi both combine crawling with server-log analysis, at €299 a month and on request respectively.
  • OnCrawl of Bordeaux and Botify of Paris target sites with millions of URLs, and Botify sells only through a demo with no published price.
  • Little Warden of the UK does not crawl whole sites at all: it checks chosen URLs for robots.txt, redirect and tag changes, with plans from £24.99 a month.

European SEO crawlers and site audit tools are services and desktop programs from vendors in Germany, France, Estonia, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom that fetch a website's pages to report broken links, redirects, indexability, rendering and crawl-budget problems, which matters because the crawl touches staging sites, logs and Search Console data that a buyer may not want under a US contracting entity.

#1 Audisto

Gernsbach, Germany Founded 2013 Crawler and Monitoring plans on the pricing page (monthly or annual billing, excluding VAT); larger crawls on request Demo on request

Best for: Technical SEO teams that run big or complex sites

  • Operating company. Audisto GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. EU data centers (vendor statement)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ContentKing, DeepCrawl-style cloud crawlers

Audisto is a cloud crawler and monitoring service from Audisto GmbH in Gernsbach, Germany. Its pricing table shows unlimited crawls per month and unlimited recrawls of the live URL report on both plans, so the constraint is the size of one crawl, which starts at 10,000 HTML pages and 300,000 URLs. JavaScript rendering is included in the price, and the Monitoring plan adds hourly scheduling with critical alerts.

The company was founded in 2013 as Strucr.com GmbH and renamed in 2015, and it is registered as HRB 716171 at the Amtsgericht Mannheim. According to the vendor, data sits in EU data centers and a data processing agreement is signed with every client. Dedicated validators for canonical tags, hreflang and XML sitemaps sit alongside the crawler. Support runs through email and a knowledge base, there is no desktop edition, and larger tiers need a sales conversation.

What Audisto does well

  • No monthly cap on the number of crawls
  • JavaScript rendering is part of both plans
  • Hourly scheduled crawls and critical alerts on the Monitoring plan
  • A data processing agreement is signed with each client
  • Separate canonical, hreflang and sitemap validators

Where Audisto falls short

  • Entry plans stop at 10,000 HTML pages per crawl
  • Email and a knowledge base are the only support channels
  • Bigger tiers are priced through sales
  • No locally installed version

Standout feature. Audisto is the only tool here whose published plans put no limit on how many crawls run per month and limit only how large each crawl is.

#2 Sitebulb

Biddenden, Kent, United Kingdom Founded 2017 Lite, Pro and Cloud plans on the pricing page (prices load in the browser); Cloud from £95 a month; 14-day free trial Demo on request

Best for: SEO consultants and agencies that hand audits to clients

  • Operating company. Sitebulb Limited
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. UK data centre (account data); Cloud on UK and US data centers
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Screaming Frog, Semrush Site Audit

Sitebulb turns a crawl into a list of explained, prioritised issues, which is the reason consultants use it for client deliverables. The vendor counts 300+ Hints, and the audit comparison view shows what changed between two crawls. Pro starts from a default limit of 500,000 URLs per audit, adjustable up to 2 million with a warning that your computer may not cope, while the cheapest plan, Lite, stops at 10,000 URLs.

Sitebulb Limited is registered in Kent as company no. 12125600 and has sold the product since 2017. It ships a desktop edition for Windows and Mac plus a cloud edition from £95 a month, with a 14-day trial rather than a permanent free tier. The privacy notice names UK and US data centers for the cloud service and AWS eu-west-2 in London for backups. Desktop prices load in the browser and were not readable from the page source.

What Sitebulb does well

  • Each finding is explained and ranked by priority
  • Comparing two audits shows what changed
  • JavaScript crawling costs nothing extra
  • Desktop and cloud versions come from one company
  • Connects Google Analytics, Search Console and Sheets

Where Sitebulb falls short

  • The vendor is British, outside the EU
  • The cloud edition also uses US data centers
  • Desktop audits are bound by your own memory
  • Prices appear only once the page script runs

Standout feature. Sitebulb attaches a written explanation and a priority to every issue it finds, so the output reads as a report rather than a data table.

#3 JetOctopus

Tallinn, Estonia Founded 2018 Growth from €299 a month (500K crawled URLs a month); Pro €699, Ultra €1,359, Unlimited on request Demo on request

Best for: Large sites that need crawl and log data side by side

  • Operating company. Jet Octopus OÜ
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Estonia)
  • Where the data sits. Not specified by country
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Botify, Lumar, Semrush Site Audit

JetOctopus, run by Jet Octopus OÜ in Tallinn, combines a JavaScript crawler, a log analyzer, Google Search Console history of 16+ months and GA4 data. Its log analyzer follows GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot next to Googlebot, which is how a site owner sees whether AI crawlers fetch the pages that matter. Seats and projects are unlimited on every plan; the meter is crawled URLs and log lines per month.

Growth costs €299 a month for 500K crawled URLs, Pro €699 and Ultra €1,359, with an Unlimited tier on request, and a free trial needs no credit card. The company started in 2018, has registry code 14483580 and VAT number EE102739949 according to its footer and privacy policy. Servers are described as being in secure countries without a named location, and the entry plan keeps data for 12 months.

What JetOctopus does well

  • Crawler, logs, Search Console and GA4 sit in one workspace
  • No per-seat or per-project fees
  • Logs show AI bots as well as Googlebot
  • Estonian company with registry code and address
  • The trial does not ask for a credit card

Where JetOctopus falls short

  • The entry price is €299 a month
  • Crawl volume is a monthly allowance
  • No country is given for data storage
  • The entry plan keeps 12 months of data

Standout feature. JetOctopus shows in one interface which AI bots such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot request a site, alongside Googlebot.

#4 Seolyzer

Choisy-le-Roi, France Pricing on request (demo booking) Demo on request

Best for: Large French and European sites with crawl-budget questions

  • Operating company. Seolyzer SAS
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. France (vendor statement)
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Botify, Oncrawl, Screaming Frog log file analyser

Seolyzer is a French crawler and log analyzer from Seolyzer SAS in Choisy-le-Roi. The crawler page states crawls of up to 50 million URLs at 1,000 URLs per second, and the analysis lays crawl, log and Search Console data over one another, with internal PageRank and orphan page detection on top. Logs are analysed in real time, and users and shares are unlimited.

Seolyzer's legal notice says data is hosted in France, is not passed to third parties and that no personal data from logs is stored. The website itself runs on OVH. The pages checked give no founding year, no registration number, and no prices; budgeting starts with a demo booking. The interface exists in English and French only, and retention periods and certifications are not described.

What Seolyzer does well

  • Logs are analysed as they arrive
  • A single crawl can reach 50 million URLs
  • Hosting in France, per the legal notice
  • Any number of users and shares
  • Crawl, log and Search Console data are cross-analysed

Where Seolyzer falls short

  • Plan prices are not published
  • Only English and French interfaces exist
  • Retention and certifications are not described
  • A smaller company than the enterprise suites

Standout feature. Seolyzer states that its log analysis stores no personal data from the logs, a claim that matters because server logs hold visitor IP addresses.

#5 Screaming Frog

Henley-on-Thames, United Kingdom Founded 2010 Free for up to 500 URLs / GBP 199 per year for unlimited Demo on request

Best for: Technical audits on any site, from a small business to an enterprise estate

  • Operating company. Screaming Frog Ltd
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. Your own computer
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Semrush Site Audit, Ahrefs Site Audit, Sitebulb

Screaming Frog SEO Spider is the desktop crawler that most technical SEOs already have installed, made by Screaming Frog Ltd of Henley-on-Thames, which started in 2010. The crawl runs on your own computer, so staging sites, intranets and sections behind a login need no upload to a vendor. It runs on Windows, macOS and Ubuntu, and a JavaScript rendering mode handles client-rendered pages.

The free version crawls up to 500 URLs, and an unlimited annual licence costs GBP 199 according to the tool page, with API integrations and scheduling in the paid version. Google Analytics, Search Console and PageSpeed Insights data can be joined to each URL, and a separate Log File Analyser covers server logs. There are no keyword, rank or backlink features, large crawls need a well-specified machine, and the spreadsheet-style interface takes time to learn.

What Screaming Frog does well

  • Crawls stay on your machine, nothing is uploaded
  • Widely used as the default technical audit tool
  • GBP 199 a year with no URL limit
  • JavaScript rendering plus API connections
  • A free version up to 500 URLs

Where Screaming Frog falls short

  • No keyword, ranking or backlink data
  • Big crawls need a powerful computer
  • A dense interface with a steep learning curve

Standout feature. Screaming Frog is the only tool here where the vendor never receives the crawl at all, because the software runs entirely on the user's own computer.

#6 OnCrawl

Bordeaux, France Founded 2015 From about EUR 69/month for small sites; enterprise pricing on request Demo on request

Best for: Large e-commerce, publishing and marketplace sites with indexation problems

  • Operating company. OnCrawl (Cogniteev)
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. EU
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Botify, Semrush enterprise, Deepcrawl (Lumar)

OnCrawl, a platform from Cogniteev in Bordeaux that dates from 2015, joins its own crawl to your server logs and to business data you feed in. That lets it say, for example, that out-of-stock products take a share of crawl budget or that old articles are crawled but earn nothing. Segmentation and comparison across crawls are built for sites with millions of URLs.

According to its tool page the data stays in the EU and prices started from about EUR 69 a month for small sites, with enterprise pricing on request; the vendor no longer publishes a price list.

The same page advises that below roughly 50,000 URLs the log analysis seldom justifies the cost and that Screaming Frog covers the audit more cheaply. Log access has to come from whoever runs the hosting, which is often the slowest part of setup, and there is no keyword or backlink research.

What OnCrawl does well

  • Crawl results are matched against real server logs
  • Business data such as margin or stock can segment the site
  • Designed for millions of URLs
  • Compares one crawl with the previous one
  • French company with EU data

Where OnCrawl falls short

  • Costs more than a small site can justify
  • Needs access to server logs
  • Keyword and backlink research are absent

Standout feature. OnCrawl lets a team segment crawl results by internal business fields such as margin, stock level or article age, which turns an SEO finding into a commercial argument.

#7 Botify

Paris, France Founded 2012 Pricing on request (demo) Demo on request

Best for: Enterprise retailers and publishers with millions of pages

  • Operating company. Botify SAS
  • Jurisdiction. EU (France)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ContentKing, Lumar

Botify is an enterprise platform from Botify SAS in Paris, registered as RCS Paris 519 350 813 and founded in 2012. Its SiteCrawler reports on 1,000+ technical indicators and, according to the vendor's crawler page, renders JavaScript with the same engine as Googlebot. A log analyzer sits in the same platform, and AlertPanel, ActionBoard, RealKeywords and AI visibility reporting widen it beyond crawling.

The about page lists six entities and offices in New York, London, Paris, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo, so the company on an order form may not be Botify SAS. The legal page names Amazon Web Services Inc. of Seattle as web host. Pricing is on request after a demo, and a team that needs only a crawler would pay for products it does not use.

What Botify does well

  • Pages are rendered with the engine Googlebot uses
  • More than 1,000 technical indicators per crawl
  • No crawl limit stated for enterprise crawls
  • The log analyzer lives in the same product
  • A French SAS with a register number

Where Botify falls short

  • Prices are not published
  • More platform than a plain crawler needs
  • The contracting entity among six must be confirmed
  • Purchase starts with a demo

Standout feature. Botify is the only tool on this list that says its crawler renders pages with the same engine as Googlebot.

#8 SiteGuru

Katwijk, Netherlands Small $49, Medium $99, Large $199 a month (monthly billing); free trial for 6 weeks Demo on request

Best for: Freelancers, consultants and small agencies with sites under 5,000 pages

  • Operating company. SiteGuru (Katwijk, Chamber of Commerce no. 82462453)
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Netherlands)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Semrush Site Audit, WooRank

SiteGuru is a Dutch audit tool from Katwijk, listed under Chamber of Commerce number 82462453, whose about page names Rick van Haasteren as founder. Every plan includes every feature, among them technical audit, indexation report, sitemap optimisation, structured data check, internal link optimisation and Shopify checks. The plans differ only in websites (5, 15 or 50), competitor analyses per month and support level.

Prices are $49, $99 and $199 a month, charged in US dollars, with unlimited users and a free trial of six weeks. Reports are sorted into fixes with white-label output for client work. The page limit is 5,000 pages per site on all plans. The pages checked name no legal form, hosting location or data processing terms, and there is neither log analysis nor a desktop crawler.

What SiteGuru does well

  • Every plan includes every feature
  • Users and client seats are unlimited
  • A free trial of six weeks
  • Findings are sorted into a to-do list
  • Dutch business with a Chamber of Commerce number

Where SiteGuru falls short

  • A ceiling of 5,000 pages per site on all plans
  • Prices are quoted in US dollars
  • Hosting and GDPR terms are missing from the pages checked
  • No analysis of server logs

Standout feature. SiteGuru gives the same feature set to its $49 plan as to its $199 plan and differs only in the number of websites, competitor analyses and support.

#9 Seobility

Bayreuth, Germany Founded 2014 Free tier (1 project, 1,000 pages) / Premium from about EUR 50/month Demo on request

Best for: Small businesses, freelancers and German-speaking SMEs

  • Operating company. Seobility GmbH
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Germany)
  • Where the data sits. Germany
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Semrush, Moz Pro, Ahrefs

Seobility is a German SEO suite from Seobility GmbH in Bayreuth, founded in 2014, that bundles a site audit with rank tracking, backlink analysis and on-page checks. The free tier gives one project and up to 1,000 crawled pages, which is enough to maintain a small business site. Premium costs around EUR 50 a month and adds more projects, larger crawls, TF*IDF content analysis and white-label PDF reports.

Data is hosted in Germany under a German data processing agreement, according to the tool page, which removes a common procurement question for SMEs there. Documentation and keyword data are strongest for German-language markets. Backlink and keyword databases are small compared with the large suites, enterprise features are missing, and the vendor lists AI Visibility Tracking as coming soon.

What Seobility does well

  • A free tier that supports real work on a small site
  • Audit, rankings and backlinks for about EUR 50 a month
  • German hosting with a German processing agreement
  • TF*IDF content comparison is included
  • White-label PDF reports on paid plans

Where Seobility falls short

  • Backlink and keyword databases are small
  • Coverage drops outside German-language markets
  • No enterprise features or deep SERP history

Standout feature. Seobility is the one tool in this group that pairs a permanent free audit tier with German hosting and a German data processing agreement.

#10 Marketing Miner

České Budějovice, Czech Republic Starter €19, Basic Miner €34, Digger €69, Machine €114 a month excluding VAT; 10-day free tier Demo on request

Best for: Agencies that audit by uploading lists of URLs

  • Operating company. Marketing Miner s.r.o.
  • Jurisdiction. EU (Czech Republic)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. Semrush Site Audit

Marketing Miner is a Czech SEO suite from Marketing Miner s.r.o. in České Budějovice, company ID 062 78 990. Its SEO Audit section collects more than ten bulk checkers, among them status codes, indexing, broken links, hreflang, structured data and indexability, that run on URLs you supply. It does not discover pages by following links, so it does not replace a crawler for link graphs or rendering checks.

Plans cost €19 (Starter), €34 (Basic Miner), €69 (Digger) and €114 (Machine) a month excluding VAT, with a 10-day free tier. The same account includes keyword research and rank tracking, a REST API and an MCP connection. A data processing agreement is published, but the hosting location is not stated. Report credits and tracked keyword counts shape what a plan can do, and AI visibility credits are absent from the listed plans.

What Marketing Miner does well

  • More than ten audit checkers under one login
  • Entry plan at €19 a month
  • Czech company with company ID and address
  • A data processing agreement is published
  • REST API and MCP connection

Where Marketing Miner falls short

  • No crawler that discovers pages itself
  • Credits restrict large bulk checks
  • Listed plans carry no AI visibility credits
  • Hosting country is not stated

Standout feature. Marketing Miner checks lists of URLs for status, indexing, hreflang and structured data from inside a keyword and rank-tracking suite priced from €19 a month.

#11 Little Warden

UK (Leeds named in the terms), United Kingdom Freelancer £24.99, Small Team £34.99, Agency £59.99, Large Agency £149.99 a month; annual billing gives two months free Demo on request

Best for: Agencies that guard client sites against accidental changes

  • Operating company. Little Warden (legal entity not named on the pages checked)
  • Jurisdiction. United Kingdom (adequacy decision, outside the EEA)
  • Where the data sits. Not stated
  • Source code. Closed source
  • Replaces. ContentKing change tracking

Little Warden is a UK monitoring tool, founded by Dom and Heather Hodgson, that runs 30+ checks on chosen URLs and alerts you when something changes. Typical triggers are a robots.txt edit, a broken redirect, a missing tracking tag, a Core Web Vitals regression or a domain nearing expiry. Plans are measured in URLs patrolled, from 20 on Freelancer to 5,000 on Large Agency, and it does not look for broken links or orphan pages.

Freelancer costs £24.99, Small Team £34.99, Agency £59.99 and Large Agency £149.99 a month, with two months free on annual billing. There is a 40-day trial without a card and a 30-day money-back guarantee, and the API is available from Small Team upward. The terms point to the courts of Leeds, but the legal entity, hosting location and GDPR terms are not stated on the pages checked.

What Little Warden does well

  • More than 30 different change checks
  • Entry plan at £24.99 a month
  • Forty days of trial and no card required
  • API access from the Small Team plan
  • Every check has its own documentation

Where Little Warden falls short

  • Watches chosen URLs, not an entire site
  • The legal entity is not named on the pages checked
  • No hosting country is stated
  • Small URL counts on the lower plans

Standout feature. Little Warden is built around the accidents that follow a deployment, such as a robots.txt change, rather than around finding problems in a full site crawl.

Which European crawler fits which size of website?

Page count decides most of it. SiteGuru audits up to 5,000 pages per site on every plan and Seobility's free tier stops at 1,000 pages, so both suit brochure sites, local shops and small blogs.

Sitebulb's Lite plan caps an audit at 10,000 URLs and Audisto's entry plans stop at 10,000 HTML pages, which covers a mid-sized catalogue. Sitebulb Pro starts from a default of 500,000 URLs per audit, adjustable up to 2 million, while Screaming Frog's paid licence has no URL ceiling but depends on the memory of the computer it runs on.

Above a few hundred thousand URLs the cloud platforms take over. JetOctopus sells 500K crawled URLs a month on its €299 Growth plan, Seolyzer advertises crawls of up to 50 million URLs, and OnCrawl and Botify are built for millions of pages. OnCrawl's own tool page puts the practical threshold near 50,000 URLs, below which log analysis rarely repays its cost.

How do the pricing models differ between these tools?

Four models exist side by side. Screaming Frog charges a flat annual licence of GBP 199 and Sitebulb sells desktop licences plus a Cloud edition from £95 a month.

SiteGuru uses flat monthly tiers of $49, $99 and $199 that differ only in number of websites, competitor analyses and support, and Marketing Miner uses credit-based plans of €19, €34, €69 and €114 a month. JetOctopus meters by crawled URLs and log lines per month, at €299, €699 and €1,359 for its three listed tiers.

Audisto meters the size of a crawl rather than the number of crawls, and Little Warden meters URLs patrolled, from 20 on the £24.99 Freelancer plan to 5,000 on the £149.99 Large Agency plan. Seolyzer and Botify publish no prices and begin with a demo. If budgeting needs a number before a sales call, that excludes those two and favours the tools with a public list.

Where does the crawl data live, and does that matter for GDPR?

It depends on the tool. Screaming Frog stores nothing outside your machine, which is the strongest position available because there is no processor to contract with. Audisto states EU data centers and signs a data processing agreement with every client, Seolyzer's legal notice says data is hosted in France and that no personal data from logs is stored, and Seobility hosts in Germany under a German data processing agreement.

Others leave gaps. JetOctopus says its servers are in secure countries without naming one, Sitebulb Cloud runs in United Kingdom and United States data centers with backups in AWS eu-west-2 in London, and Botify's legal page names Amazon Web Services Inc. as its web host. SiteGuru and Little Warden state no hosting location on the pages checked, so ask before sending client data. Server logs deserve the most care, since they contain visitor IP addresses.

How do I move away from ContentKing?

ContentKing is now sold as Conductor Monitoring, and the old contentkingapp.com domain redirects to Conductor, whose address is 1359 Broadway in New York. Its core idea was continuous crawling with alerts, and three European routes copy parts of that. Audisto's Monitoring plan schedules crawls hourly and raises critical alerts, Botify offers an AlertPanel inside its enterprise platform, and Little Warden alerts on specific changes such as robots.txt edits and broken redirects.

Plan the move in two steps. First list which ContentKing alerts your team actually acted on, because Little Warden at £24.99 may cover a guard-rail need that a full crawler would only overcomplicate. Then run the replacement crawler in parallel for a few weeks, since Sitebulb (14 days), JetOctopus (no credit card) and SiteGuru (six weeks) all list a free trial.

When is it better not to switch to a European crawler?

Staying put is reasonable when an existing monitoring contract runs for months and nobody has complained about it, or when the crawl data is public marketing pages with no personal data. A crawler that only reads publicly reachable URLs raises fewer jurisdiction questions than a log analyzer, so the urgency to move a pure crawl is lower than for log tooling.

Switching is also awkward where a team depends on features no European vendor in this list claims to match. Marketing Miner has no site-discovery crawler, Little Warden watches URLs rather than sites, and Seobility's backlink and keyword databases are small. A buyer who needs one tool for crawling, rank tracking and backlinks is better served by a suite, and the SEO tools category covers those.

Which tools connect to Search Console, GA4 and server logs?

JetOctopus joins crawl data, logs, Search Console history of 16 months or more and GA4 in one workspace, and it also tracks AI bots such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot next to Googlebot. Seolyzer fuses crawl, log and Search Console data, and OnCrawl ingests analytics, Search Console and business fields such as margin or stock level. Sitebulb connects Google Analytics, Search Console and Google Sheets, and Screaming Frog connects Google Analytics, Search Console and PageSpeed Insights.

Log analysis comes in three forms: inside the platform at JetOctopus, Seolyzer, OnCrawl and Botify, as a separate Screaming Frog Log File Analyser, or not at all. SiteGuru lists no log analysis, and its own page points to Seolyzer for that job.

How we selected and ranked these 11 tools

Every tool on this page is in the European Purpose directory, which means the operating company is established in Europe and we have verified that from the company register or the vendor's own legal notice rather than from a marketing page. Tools headquartered outside Europe are not eligible, however good they are.

  1. Feature verification (weight: 40%). We check each capability against the vendor's own documentation and product pages, and record what the tool does rather than what the category is assumed to include.
  2. Ease of adoption (weight: 30%). Integrations, published API access, trial availability and how much configuration stands between signing and a usable result.
  3. Value and transparency (weight: 30%). Published pricing counts in a vendor's favour; quote-only pricing is recorded as quote-only rather than estimated. We weigh what a buyer gets for the entry price, not the headline feature count.
  4. Editorial review. Every page is researched and drafted with AI assistance, and the compliance and pricing claims are checked against the vendor's documentation before it is published under the founder's editorial responsibility. The three weights above decide the order; a position is a ranking against the other European tools in this category, not an absolute score.

Vendor-reported outcomes — ROI figures, margin uplift, time saved — are labelled as vendor claims wherever they appear on this page. We have not audited them, and neither has anyone else who quotes them. Read our full editorial process for how pages are re-verified.

Frequently asked questions

No single tool wins on every criterion. Screaming Frog is the choice for a local desktop audit at GBP 199 a year, Sitebulb for explained, client-ready reports, and Audisto for unmetered cloud crawls with EU hosting. JetOctopus and Seolyzer fit large sites that need logs beside crawls, OnCrawl and Botify fit sites with millions of URLs, and SiteGuru and Seobility fit small sites on a tight budget.

Screaming Frog is free for up to 500 URLs, and Seobility's free tier covers one project with 1,000 pages. Sitebulb offers a 14-day trial, SiteGuru a six-week trial, Little Warden a 40-day trial without a card and Marketing Miner a 10-day free tier, so a permanent free plan exists only at the first two.

Audisto includes JavaScript rendering in both plans, Sitebulb crawls JavaScript at no extra cost, Screaming Frog has a JavaScript rendering mode, and JetOctopus is described as a JavaScript crawler. Botify says its SiteCrawler uses the same rendering engine as Googlebot.

Audisto's Monitoring plan schedules crawls hourly with critical alerts, JetOctopus lists alerts, and Botify offers AlertPanel. Little Warden is the narrow option: 30+ checks on chosen URLs, with alerts when something changes. Only the first has hourly scheduling stated on its pricing page.

No. Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Audisto, SiteGuru and Seobility work from crawls alone. Logs matter for JetOctopus, Seolyzer, OnCrawl and Botify, whose value comes from comparing what a crawler finds with what Googlebot actually requested, and OnCrawl's page warns that getting log access from the hosting team is often the slowest part of onboarding.

Audisto and Seobility (Germany), Seolyzer and Botify and OnCrawl (France), JetOctopus (Estonia), SiteGuru (Netherlands) and Marketing Miner (Czech Republic) are EU companies. Sitebulb, Screaming Frog and Little Warden are British, so they sit under the UK's adequacy decision rather than inside the EEA.
