Detailed Review
UNIwise runs out of Aarhus, with offices in Manchester, Skien and Hamburg, and describes WISEflow as a platform for higher education that covers submission, marking and results. It says more than 130 institutions in Europe use it, and that the majority owner is the investor Monterro.
Proctoring is one layer of a larger assessment product. That makes it a different purchase from a stand-alone proctoring service: the institution buys the exam workflow first and chooses how much monitoring to add to it.
What the plans contain
The pricing page lists three plans, Core, Advanced and Premium. Written assignments, file hand-in and auto-marked questions are in all three. The lockdown browser starts in Advanced.
Device Monitor, which flags secondary screens, virtual machines and screen sharing, is an add-on in Advanced and included in Premium.
Proctoring options
Advanced proctoring adds facial comparison against an enrolled reference image plus voice detection and transcription of audio. Live proctoring puts a human invigilator on the session, and a chat module lets invigilators message candidates. Both are add-ons rather than defaults.
Data and governance
UNIwise states that data is held in Ireland and Germany, run by AWS, and stays inside the EU. It also publishes a trust centre and a note on AI and the EU AI Act. An AI feedback add-on drafts feedback against the institution's own rubric, and nothing reaches students until an assessor approves it.
Limitations to Consider
The pricing page explains the model but shows no amounts, so budgeting needs a quote. WISEflow is built for higher education, which leaves corporate and professional certification buyers with a less natural fit than TestReach. The most relevant proctoring features are priced separately from the plans, and the platform is a full assessment suite, so it is more than an institution needs if it only wants to monitor exams run elsewhere.
Who Should Use WISEflow
Universities and colleges that want one assessment platform for assignments and exams, with the option to add lockdown and proctoring to the sittings that need them.
