Detailed Review
ACCA software S.p.A. is a Bagnoli Irpino company with a family of BIM software, and Solarius-PV is its PV program. It handles grid-connected plants on new or existing buildings and larger PV parks, with 3D design, sizing, economic analysis and a single-line diagram in one tool.
The product page is in Italian and the program is certified by buildingSMART international, according to the vendor.
3D and BIM Modelling
Projects can start from nothing, from an AutoCAD DXF or DWG file or from an IFC BIM model made in Edificius, Revit or ArchiCAD. Dedicated 3D objects represent building footprints, sloped surfaces, obstacles, electrical panels, PV generators, inverters and storage.
For ground installations, a library of 3D blocks covers canopies, shelters and agrivoltaic structures, and terrain can be imported from Google Maps with contour lines.
Irradiation and Shading
Irradiation data is taken from ENEA, UNI 10349 or PVGIS reference sources, or imported as a PVGIS TMY file, and users can build a personal data archive.
Shading from distant obstacles is evaluated from a photo survey on the solar diagram; shading from near objects is calculated over annual, monthly, daily or hourly periods, and the minimum row spacing is computed automatically.
Pricing Signals
The vendor offers a one-month free use period and an instalment plan marketed as Give Me 5, five interest-free payments.
A Power Pack upgrade costing EUR 599 adds a second licence, energy communities (CER), agrivoltaics and an electrical module.
Limitations to Consider
The product page we read is in Italian only and the irradiation sources are Italian standards, so it is a better fit for projects in Italy than elsewhere. It is for grid-connected systems and has no CRM, quote pipeline or cloud workspace described. Base licence prices were not visible; only the upgrade price was.
Who Should Use Solarius-PV
Italian engineers, surveyors and installers who need BIM-compatible PV design and compliance-oriented documentation.
