NTS Live Ltd operates from London and was founded by Femi Adeyemi in 2011; the company states it remains independently controlled, with minority stakes held by a handful of music-loving individuals and enterprises rather than a single external investor. Listening is free.

NTS Supporters, from about £3.99 a month, unlocks live tracklists across both channels and the archive and is presented as the mechanism that pays resident hosts, a more direct line from subscription to artist than the pooled-royalty model the catalogue services in this category use.

What NTS does not do is replace a personal library: there is no search-and-play catalogue of individual tracks or albums to build a playlist from, so it sits alongside Deezer or Spotify rather than instead of them. The United Kingdom is also outside the EEA, covered by an adequacy decision rather than membership. For background discovery and specialist genres a chart-driven service would never surface, though, NTS does something none of the on-demand catalogues here attempt.
