Detailed Review
NorthC was created in 2020 when two Dutch operators, The Datacenter Group and NLDC, merged. It then bought IP Exchange GmbH in Germany in 2021 and added the Swiss sites of Netrics in 2022, which is how a single contracting entity now covers three countries.
The pitch is regional rather than metro-dense: the site list runs from Aalsmeer and Almere to Groningen, Nieuwegein, Munich, Nuremberg, Winterthur and Geneva. Its legal page names NorthC Datacenters B.V. in Oude Meer, with Chamber of Commerce number 67708927.
What the rack contract looks like
NorthC describes colocation as space, redundant power, cooling, security and fire safety delivered while you keep full access to your own servers. Customers pay a fixed amount per month, and a monitoring portal shows energy use, inlet temperature and relative humidity per rack.
Requests for single server units are handled by partners rather than NorthC itself, so the smallest direct unit is a rack. Onboarding includes a personal introduction to the customer portal.
Certificates and where they apply
The certification page lists ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, 22301, 20000-1, PCI DSS, SOC 2 Type II, ISAE 3402, DIN EN 50600 and EcoVadis. Each ISO paragraph names the sites it covers, for example Munich 1 and Nuremberg appear under ISO 9001 and 27001 but not under 14001.
All halls are described as meeting Tier 3, and Eindhoven was built to Tier 4 standards. That level of per-site detail makes audit preparation easier than a blanket claim would.
Connecting out of the building
Region Connect links all NorthC data centers so the same cloud and service providers can be reached from any location. Cloud Connect gives private routes to public clouds, and a downloadable carrier list shows who is present.
If a carrier you want is missing from a hall, the company says it will help arrange the connection.
Limitations to Consider
NorthC is regional, so it does not offer the dense interconnection ecosystems of the largest metro campuses. Single server units go through partners, and the ISO certificates do not cover every site equally, so check the exact hall. The group's owners are not named on the pages read, and there is no price list. Compare with Datacenter United if you only need Belgium.
Who Should Use NorthC
Dutch, German and Swiss organisations that want colocation near their offices, a fixed monthly bill and a support team that answers by phone around the clock.

Frequently Asked Questions
Not directly. Its quote form notes that requests for individual server units are handled by one of its partners in the data centers, so the direct offer starts at rack level.
The Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland. The German sites came with the 2021 acquisition of IP Exchange GmbH and the Swiss ones with Netrics in 2022.
Its site says the data centers run entirely on green energy and that it aims to be CO2-neutral by 2030, with residual heat projects under way.
