Gitoro

Gitoro brings the parts of GitHub most teams actually use — repositories, pull requests, issues, code review and CI/CD — into one product built and hosted exclusively on EU infrastructure.

The company, Gitoro ApS, is registered in Copenhagen (CVR No. 43091301), which puts it under Danish and EU law rather than the US CLOUD Act that governs GitHub's parent, Microsoft. Pipelines use GitLab-compatible YAML (.gitoro-ci.yml), so a team already on GitLab CI keeps its stages, rules and jobs rather than rewriting them from scratch.

What distinguishes Gitoro from a plain European GitHub clone is that it treats AI coding agents as accountable participants rather than an afterthought.

Agents get their own service-account identity and scoped personal access tokens, work through MCP tools or the API to triage issues and open draft pull requests, and every action they take — reviews, merges, pipeline triggers — still runs through the same branch-protection rules, required approvals and code-owner sign-off a human contributor would face. An agentic AI review pass flags possible security, logic and maintainability issues on top of that, for a human to accept or dismiss with a reason.

The Free plan is generous for a small team: 5 full members, unlimited free read-only collaborators, 5GB of repository storage, 250 CI/CD pipeline minutes and 5 AI review credits a month, with secret detection included on every plan.

The €15-a-month Team plan raises those limits and adds code owners, default reviewers, an audit log, security vulnerability scanning and self-hosted runners. What is missing is a self-hosted or on-premise edition — Gitoro is SaaS only — and, as a young vendor, it publishes no founding date or team page alongside its Danish registration.
