Detailed Review
Farmdok starts from the field record. Every field has a page with its crop, its activities from seeding to harvest, the products used and the soil samples taken, and the same data can be entered on a phone in the tractor or at a desk. For plant protection the app checks products against the register number while you record, so a wrong entry shows up before an inspector sees it.
The company is Farmdok GmbH in Wieselburg, Lower Austria. The interface comes in English, German (Austria and Germany), Slovak, Hungarian, Czech and Slovenian, which tells you where the customers are: central Europe, not North America.
From field record to application map
The base plans cover fields, crop rotation, notes with geotagged photos, reports as XLSX or PDF, fertiliser requirement planning, stock movements and contribution margin per farm, crop and field. The Precision plan adds vegetation monitoring from satellite and weather data (NDVI, NDWI, LAI) and prescription maps for sowing and fertilising.
A news item dated 11 March 2026 says the app now captures BBCH stage, EPPO code and start time, the fields that the newest plant protection documentation rules ask for.
Machines and interfaces
The feature list names interfaces to CNH, MyJohnDeere and NutriGuide, and automatic recording of activities from GPS tracking on a normal smartphone, so no terminal has to be fitted to a tractor. The mobile app keeps working without mobile coverage.
Farmdok also sells a business API (field boundaries, crop detection, grassland harvest) aimed at corporate users, separate from the farmer plans.
What it costs
Pricing is the clearest part of the site: a table with the monthly price excluding VAT, the hectares included and the per-hectare rate above that, valid from 15 January 2025, with rebates from 100 ha (Premium) and 500 ha (Precision). Several farms can be linked under Premium by contacting support.
Limitations to Consider
The tool is built around crop farming and documentation; the feature list shows no herd or livestock module, so a mixed farm needs a second tool such as Geofolia for its animal side. Machine interfaces are limited to the ones named on the page. The price table is dated January 2025, so check it before budgeting. Data location is not stated in the pages reviewed.
Who Should Use Farmdok
Arable and mixed farms in Austria, Germany and neighbouring markets that need a compliant field record first and satellite-based application maps second, and that prefer a monthly price they can read before talking to sales.
