Review in detail
Axigen Messaging SRL is registered in Romania at 29 Academiei Str, with VAT ID RO30754979. The privacy policy names the company as data controller and cites the GDPR and Romanian data protection law.
The Axigen home page presents the product as all-in-one mail server software for telcos, ISPs and hosting providers, and shows a Made in the EU label. A separate area for businesses mentions a free mail server.
What Axigen includes
The site lists Axigen Mail Server, a WebMail demo, a WebAdmin demo and an Outlook Connector. The privacy policy adds that a mobile app is available on iOS and Android and is developed by Axigen Messaging SRL.
Providers can offer white-labeled email hosting, and businesses can pick a free mail server edition.
Who Axigen is built for
Axigen is built for operators and IT teams that run mail servers, not for people who open an inbox app. The home page speaks to telcos, ISPs and hosting providers first.
An individual user meets Axigen only if an employer or provider runs it.
Axigen compared with Superhuman
Superhuman is an end-user product at $25 USD per member per month on Starter. Axigen provides the server and clients behind a mailbox.
The pages we read show no snooze, follow-up or AI drafting tools, so Axigen answers a different need than Superhuman.
Points against
Axigen is mail server software, so most Superhuman users cannot adopt it on their own. The pages we read show no prices and no description of speed features such as snooze, split inbox or AI drafting. Where mail is stored is not stated on the pages we read. For ready-made European mailboxes with apps, see Proton Mail or Tuta.
Best suited to users of Axigen
IT administrators and hosting providers in Europe who want to run a mail server with WebMail, mobile apps and Outlook support.
