Detailed Review
Most European audiobook apps copy Netflix: one fee, an open catalogue, hours counted by the clock. Audiolibrix keeps the older store logic. You pay a membership, receive a credit, and swap that credit for one audiobook of your choice, which is the arrangement Audible subscribers will recognise.
The terms name Audiolibrix s.r.o., seated at Makovského 1334/26 in Prague 6 and entered in the commercial register of the Municipal Court in Prague under file C 231689. Contracts are therefore made with a Czech company, and the shop runs in Czech, Slovak and English.
How the Credit Club Works
The help centre describes two memberships. Minimus pays out one credit a month, Maximus pays out two. One credit buys any audiobook from the more than 13,000 titles that qualify, which the vendor puts at over 90 percent of the shop.
Credits expire 270 days after they are issued, so a member can bank a few and spend them on a long novel. A member without credits still gets a 10 or 15 percent discount on single purchases, and the club offers an exchange of one or two audiobooks for every 12 months paid.
Prices in Two Currencies
The help article lists the monthly fee in both koruna and euro. Minimus is 249 CZK or 9.89 EUR, with a lower first month at 219 CZK or 8.69 EUR. Maximus is 469 CZK or 18.69 EUR, with the first month at 439 CZK or 17.49 EUR.
Membership can be cancelled whenever the member likes, even a week after joining. The perks keep running for 30 days after activation, and credits already issued stay valid for their nine months.
Streaming Packages and Downloads
Besides the club, the terms describe Packages, which give listening access to selected titles only while the subscription lasts and do not allow a permanent download. That is a separate product from buying a title with a credit.
The shop home page advertises more than 14,000 titles to download, and the app has a children's mode and podcast listening according to the help-centre index.
Limitations to Consider
The catalogue is small next to the multi-million libraries of the Nordic services such as Storytel or BookBeat, and it is built around Czech and Slovak listeners, so an English reader will find fewer choices. A credit buys one title, which is poor value for someone who finishes a book every two days. Two prices are mixed on the help page, so check which currency the checkout charges.
Who Should Use Audiolibrix
Listeners in Czechia or Slovakia who like to pick and keep single audiobooks and want a credit membership from a company registered in Prague.
