Detailed Review
1NCE sells connectivity as a purchase, not a subscription. The IoT Lifetime Flat costs EUR 12 as a prepaid, one-time payment and runs for up to ten years, with data, SMS, APN and OpenVPN included.
The imprint names 1NCE GmbH in Cologne, entered in the commercial register at the Cologne local court under HRB 92529, with the Bundesnetzagentur as supervising authority. The homepage claims more than 30,000 customers.
What the EUR 12 Covers
The pricing page lists 500 MB of data, coverage in 170+ countries and access to the 1NCE API, OpenVPN and a Data Streamer. Monthly data limits per SIM can be set in the portal or API, and an IMEI lock ties a SIM to one device.
The flat is pre-paid, so budgeting for a fleet is multiplication, with no monthly invoices to reconcile.
SIM Formats and Switching
The Business SIM costs EUR 1 and has no eUICC. The Industrial SIM costs EUR 2 and the soldered Chip Industrial EUR 2.50, both with the Freedom to Switch eUICC feature for changing operator profiles remotely.
Radio support spans 2G, 3G and 4G/LTE-M, with NB-IoT in selected regions.
Security Certification
1NCE reports ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification audited by TÜV Rheinland, which is the sort of paper a procurement team asks for with SIM suppliers.
Limitations to Consider
The flat targets low-bandwidth devices; heavier use goes to a separate High Data IoT product. The 500 MB allowance can run out for chatty devices, and the cheapest SIM cannot switch operator profiles. It is connectivity only, so dashboards come from Datacake or akenza. A multi-network alternative with an enterprise sales process is Eseye.
Who Should Use 1NCE
Manufacturers of low-data devices who want a fixed, one-off connectivity cost per unit and European contracting.
