European Virtual Tour Software Tools

Virtual tour software turns 360-degree photos, scans or smartphone captures into walk-through tours that visitors open in a browser, for property listings, venues, training sites and building records. The European virtual tour software below is run by companies in Spain, Austria, Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands and Israel, and several of them let you keep the finished tours on your own web space.

How we rank these tools — 4-step process
  1. 1
    European ownership, verified

The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA, the UK, Switzerland or Israel, and processes customer data in Europe or Israel. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.

  2. 2
    Category fit and hands-on review

What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.

  3. 3
    Compliance and pricing check

GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.

  4. 4
    Position on this page

Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect the order tools appear in. It never buys a listing: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Vendors can pay for more visibility, higher up on the review pages; it never affects whether a tool is listed. Editorial policy

How do I choose European virtual tour software for a property listing?

Start from how the photos are taken. If an agent shoots with a smartphone, Nodalview fits, since its tours, floor plans and photo editing run from the phone. If the agent owns a 360 camera, 3DVista, Simple Virtual Tour or Pano2VR will build the tour. If the agency wants a camera supplied, Ogulo sells a service around its own vyu | Cam.

Then check language. Ogulo's site is German only, Previsite targets French speakers, and Nodalview lists six interface languages. A tool you cannot read in your office language costs training time.

Which virtual tour software has a one-time price instead of a subscription?

3DVista states on its home page that Virtual Tour Pro is a one-time payment. Simple Virtual Tour sells a self-hosted core at $79 excluding VAT, listed as $71 after a 10% discount, with plugins at $269, $59 and $39. krpano has a Buy page and PTGui lists company and subscription licences, but we read no figures for either.

Subscription and credit pricing is the norm elsewhere. Archilogic charges per floor plan per month, Treedis uses monthly credits, and Nodalview works on a quote plus credits.

Can I host virtual tours on my own server?

Yes, with three of the tools. 3DVista keeps tours on your own data, Simple Virtual Tour has a self-hosted version, and krpano is a viewer that you place on your own web space. Pano2VR lists Gnome Cloud and package viewers, but the pages we read do not say how packages are published.

Self-hosting moves the data question to your own hosting provider. The vendors do not state where their optional hosting runs, so pick a provider in the EU if the files must stay there.

Which European virtual tour tools are outside the EU?

Archilogic AG is incorporated in Switzerland, which has a European Commission adequacy decision but is outside the EEA. Treedis is run by Matter Software Ltd in Israel, and its terms follow Israeli law. The other ten tools on this list are run by companies in Spain, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Germany, France and the Netherlands.

Treedis states ISO 27001 and GDPR on its Trust Centre line. We did not audit that claim, so ask for the certificate and a data processing agreement before you commit.

How do I move away from Matterport?

Keep the source images and any floor plan drawings, because the pages we read describe no export of a finished Matterport tour to another vendor. Rebuild the tour in 3DVista, Pano2VR or Simple Virtual Tour, or re-shoot with Nodalview or Ogulo. NavVis suits survey work and Archilogic suits floor plan data.

Update every embedded link to the new address. Plan the switch property by property, and keep the old account running until the last live listing points at the new tour.

When should I not switch away from Matterport?

Stay when your workflow depends on Matterport's camera range and the integrations on its site, such as Procore and Autodesk. No European tool here reproduces the whole package of camera, cloud and integrations from one vendor.

Stay too when you have hundreds of live tours and no one to rebuild them. A split is possible: keep Matterport for the existing archive and use a European tool for new properties.

How we selected and ranked these 12 tools

Every tool on this page is in the European Purpose directory, which means the operating company is established in Europe and we have verified that from the company register or the vendor's own legal notice rather than from a marketing page. Tools headquartered outside Europe are not eligible, however good they are.

  1. Feature verification (weight: 40%). We check each capability against the vendor's own documentation and product pages, and record what the tool does rather than what the category is assumed to include.
  2. Ease of adoption (weight: 30%). Integrations, published API access, trial availability and how much configuration stands between signing and a usable result.
  3. Value and transparency (weight: 30%). Published pricing counts in a vendor's favour; quote-only pricing is recorded as quote-only rather than estimated. We weigh what a buyer gets for the entry price, not the headline feature count.
  4. Editorial review. Every page is researched and drafted with AI assistance, and the compliance and pricing claims are checked against the vendor's documentation before it is published under the founder's editorial responsibility. The three weights above decide the order; a position is a ranking against the other European tools in this category, not an absolute score.

Vendor-reported outcomes — ROI figures, margin uplift, time saved — are labelled as vendor claims wherever they appear on this page. We have not audited them, and neither has anyone else who quotes them. Read our full editorial process for how pages are re-verified.

Frequently asked questions

There is no single best, because the tools solve different parts of the job. 3DVista is the strongest fit when you want to own the files, Nodalview when you capture with a phone, Ogulo when you want a camera and German-language service, and NavVis when you need survey-grade scanning. Name the job first, then choose.

Simple Virtual Tour lists a Free Forever cloud plan, Archilogic has a free Starter plan for 5 floor plans, and Treedis has a Free plan with 100 credits a month. Ogulo offers a 14-day trial. A free plan limits tours, floor plans or credits.

3DVista states that Virtual Tour Pro does not rely on the cloud. krpano runs locally and offline according to its documentation, and PTGui and PanoramaStudio are local programs with no cloud service described.

Matterport, LLC is a US company with Delaware-governed terms. European alternatives include 3DVista (Spain), Nodalview (Belgium), Ogulo (Germany), Previsite (France) and NavVis (Germany). Compliance still depends on your own set-up, so read each vendor's data processing terms.

Not with every tool. Nodalview works from a smartphone, 3DVista, Pano2VR, krpano and Simple Virtual Tour accept 360 images from any source, and only Ogulo ties its service to its own vyu | Cam. NavVis sells its own scanners for professional capture.

A stitcher such as PTGui or PanoramaStudio joins overlapping photos into one panorama image. A tour builder such as Pano2VR or 3DVista links several panoramas with hotspots into a walk-through. Most photographers use both in sequence.
