European Alternatives to Valimail

Looking for a European alternative to Valimail? Valimail Inc. is a Delaware corporation, and its Master Subscription Agreement and privacy policy name Valimail Inc. as the contracting party, so your DMARC data is handled under a US contract. Valimail sells three products, Monitor, Enforce and Amplify (BIMI), and its pricing page is linked from the site but was not readable as text.

The European DMARC tools below contract with companies in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Estonia, Czechia and the UK, and most publish their prices in euros.

How we rank these tools — 4-step process
  1. 1
    European ownership, verified

The company is headquartered and incorporated in the EU, EEA, the UK, Switzerland or Israel, and processes customer data in Europe or Israel. A US parent company disqualifies a tool from this page regardless of where its servers are.

  2. 2
    Category fit and hands-on review

What the tool actually does, who it suits, and where it falls short — checked against the vendor’s own documentation, changelog and pricing page rather than its marketing copy.

  3. 3
    Compliance and pricing check

GDPR posture, hosting location and the prices quoted on this page are verified against the vendor’s public pricing before publication, and re-checked when we revisit the category.

  4. 4
    Position on this page

Placement on this page can be paid, and that can affect which tools appear here and the order they appear in. It never buys a good review: a tool that fails the checks above is not here at any price, and payment does not change the shortcomings we write about. A vendor can ask us to correct a factual error — not to remove a criticism.

Vendors can pay for visibility on this page. It never changes what an entry says about a product, including the criticism, and we earn nothing when you click through to a vendor. Vendors can pay for more visibility, higher up on the review pages; it never affects which tools are listed. Editorial policy

Key takeaways

  • Valimail Inc. is a Delaware corporation, and its privacy policy says data may be processed outside the user's own country.
  • Valimail sells three products, Monitor, Enforce and Amplify, and most European DMARC tools cover only the Monitor part fully.
  • DMARCwise, DMARCTrust, DMARC Advisor, DMARC Dashboard, DMARCguard and DMARCeye each offer a free plan, with limits on domains or data use.
  • Mailhardener, URIports, DMARCTrust, DuzMarc, dmarced and DMARC Advisor all contract through companies in the Netherlands, France or Luxembourg.
  • Red Sift OnDMARC is the closest European match to Valimail in breadth, but it prices in dollars and has a Delaware entity for US customers.

Why people leave Valimail

Valimail is a US email authentication company, and Valimail Inc. is a Delaware corporation. Its product line has three parts: Monitor, which lists every sender on your domain, Enforce, which is meant to stop phishing and impersonation once you reach a reject policy, and Amplify, which puts your logo next to your mail through BIMI. The vendor sells to every size from small businesses to enterprise and government.

The contract is the reason this page exists. Valimail's privacy policy names Valimail Inc. as the party that processes your personal information, and it says that data can be stored on computers and networks outside your own country, where privacy rules may be weaker than at home. DMARC reports are not harmless statistics. They carry sending IP addresses, your list of mail providers and, with failure reports, parts of real messages.

Some buyers leave for simpler reasons. Valimail's pricing page is linked from its site but gave no readable figures when we checked, so a small company cannot compare it with a euro price list before a sales call. The tools below mostly publish their prices, and several of them let a single domain start at no cost.

  • The contracting party is a Delaware company Valimail Inc. signs your subscription and processes your DMARC data, according to its own legal pages. For a European company that means a transfer of mail metadata to a US controller. A vendor in the Netherlands, Germany, France or Luxembourg removes that transfer from the question, and Dutch, Italian, French and Luxembourg law governs the terms of the tools on this page.
  • You cannot read what it costs On 4 November 2026 the Valimail pricing page opened but showed no plan names or prices in readable text. Against that, DMARCwise lists a free plan and €15 a month, dmarced lists €20, DMARCTrust €18, and Mailhardener €19. Whether Valimail is cheaper or dearer for your domain count is unknown until you ask, which is itself a cost for a small team.
  • Enforcement as a managed service may be more than you need Valimail sells Enforce so that moving to a reject policy happens with less manual DNS work. A company with five domains and one IT person often only needs reports, alerts and a clear list of senders still failing. Most European tools here stop at that point and leave the DNS change to you, at a fraction of the price of a managed programme.
  • Processing outside your jurisdiction is spelled out The Valimail privacy policy states that information may be processed on equipment located outside your state, province or country, and it refers to California privacy rights. That wording is normal for a US vendor. It is also the wording a European data protection officer has to assess, and some will prefer a processor whose home regulator is the same as theirs.

What you have to replace, not just match

Replacing Valimail means replacing three jobs, and the European market covers them unevenly. Monitoring, the Monitor part, is easy: every tool on this page reads aggregate reports and lists sending sources. Enforcement help, the Enforce part, is thinner. Red Sift OnDMARC and DMARC Advisor sell managed or dynamic enforcement features, while the cheaper tools stop at dashboards and alerts.

The third job is BIMI, the logo display Valimail calls Amplify. Mailhardener and DMARC Advisor host BIMI assets, DMARCguard lists BIMI among its nine protocols, and Red Sift lists BIMI in its dynamic services. Several others do not mention it on the pages we read. Check this before you assume the logo in your customers' inbox carries over.

Then come the quieter dependencies. Valimail advertises an official Microsoft 365 partnership with API integration and a Google Workspace partnership, which are its own claims. If sender discovery or change approval in your setup relies on those connectors, ask each European vendor which mail platforms it reads automatically and which need manual DNS work. Several tools here state that you edit DNS records per domain yourself.

How each alternative compares to Valimail

DMARCwise

the cheapest way to leave Valimail for a small set of domains

Arco (TN), ItalyFree: 1 domain, 1k emails a month; Starter EUR 15 a month billed yearly (3 domains); Growth EUR 39 (20 domains); Scale EUR 99 (100 domains); plus taxes#1 in DMARC Software

Best for: A small company or agency that wants euro prices and an EU-hosted dashboard without a sales call

DMARCwise is run by Substring di Matteo Contrini from Arco in northern Italy under Italian law. It reads aggregate reports, checks SPF and DKIM and shows the result in a dashboard with weekly digests. The home page claims more than 1,000 organisations use it and says the service is made and hosted in the EU, both vendor statements.

Valimail's pricing could not be read, while DMARCwise publishes it: a free plan for 1 domain and 1,000 emails a month, Starter at €15 for 3 domains, Growth at €39 for 20 and Scale at €99 for 100. Paid plans add TLS reporting, record hosting and hosted MTA-STS. No automated enforcement service is described.

What DMARCwise does better than Valimail

  • Prices are public, starting at no cost for a single domain
  • Italian contract with a stated EU hosting location
  • Hosted MTA-STS and DMARC record hosting on paid plans
  • Pay-as-you-go pricing for agencies and MSPs

Where DMARCwise is a step down from Valimail

  • No managed enforcement comparable to Valimail Enforce
  • The legal entity appears to be a sole business, not a limited company
  • The free plan keeps only two weeks of data

Standout against Valimail. DMARCwise pairs a free plan for one domain with pay-as-you-go pricing for MSPs, both under one Italian contract.

Mailhardener

a Dutch B.V. suite that adds hardening beyond DMARC reports

The Hague, NetherlandsFree for evaluation and non-commercial domains; Standard EUR 19 a month or EUR 199 a year; Large EUR 99 a month or EUR 999 a year; Enterprise on request#2 in DMARC Software

Best for: A mid-sized business or MSP that wants a Dutch contracting party and a published euro price list

Mailhardener B.V. is registered in The Hague under KVK number 92907814, and its terms fall under Dutch law with Dutch courts. The suite aggregates rua and ruf reports, SMTP TLS reports and DANE data, watches DNS and hosts MTA-STS policies and BIMI assets, which touches the Amplify side of Valimail. It also sells hardening consulting.

Standard costs €19 a month or €199 a year for up to 10 domains, Large €99 or €999 for up to 100, and Enterprise is by quote with a private instance, eIDAS qualified signatures and DORA agreements. Paid plans allow unlimited user accounts. The free plan covers evaluation and non-commercial use only, with one month of data.

What Mailhardener does better than Valimail

  • Dutch contracting party with registration number and address published
  • Hosts MTA-STS policies and BIMI assets from the same plan
  • Private instance offered on Enterprise
  • Unlimited user accounts on paid plans

Where Mailhardener is a step down from Valimail

  • Hosting region is not stated on the pages we read

dmarced

a Luxembourg monitor priced by compliant email, not by spam

Eppeldorf, LuxembourgSolo EUR 20 a month billed yearly (3 active domains); Studio EUR 60 a month billed yearly (9 domains); Enterprise custom; 30-day trial; prices exclude VAT#3 in DMARC Software

Best for: A team with low legitimate mail volume that wants EU residency written into every plan

dmarced is provided by wierk s.à r.l., registered in the Luxembourg trade register under B244365, and its terms follow Luxembourg law with the courts of Diekirch competent for business customers. Its pricing counts only emails that pass DMARC, so forged mail aimed at your domain does not inflate the bill, which is a different logic from per-domain tiers.

Solo costs €20 a month billed yearly for 3 active domains, 100,000 compliant emails and 90 days of history. Studio costs €60 for 9 domains, 500,000 emails and 180 days. Every plan lists unlimited non-sending domains, API access and EU data residency. The table shows no RUF, TLS reporting, MTA-STS or BIMI rows.

What dmarced does better than Valimail

  • Luxembourg company with register number, address and EU residency on every plan
  • Billing follows legitimate email, not attack traffic
  • API access on all plans, not only the top tier
  • Unlimited non-sending domains at no extra charge

Where dmarced is a step down from Valimail

  • No free plan, only a 30-day trial
  • No failure reports, TLS reporting, MTA-STS or BIMI listed
  • Shorter feature table than Valimail or Red Sift

Standout against Valimail. dmarced counts only compliant email toward your plan, so a spoofing campaign against your domain does not change the price.

London, United KingdomTailored plans, quote on request#6 in Data Loss Prevention Software

Best for: An organisation that already buys email security from Mimecast and wants DMARC from the same supplier

Mimecast Services Limited is the London-registered operating company, and its privacy statement lists Mimecast Germany GmbH, Mimecast Netherlands B.V. and Mimecast France SARL as local entities. Its DMARC Analyzer product sits in a wider email security range, and Mimecast also offers free checks for DMARC and BIMI records on its site.

Pricing for DMARC Analyzer was not shown on the pages we read, and Mimecast sells tailored plans on request. What actually breaks when you switch

Moving DMARC reporting starts with the rua address in your DNS record. Point it at the new tool, wait for reports to arrive, and keep the old address in the tag for a few weeks so Valimail keeps receiving copies while you compare the two lists of senders. History does not move: aggregate reports from before the switch stay with Valimail, and the retention on the cheaper European plans is 30 days to a year.

Check the policy you are running before anything else. If any of your SPF, DKIM or DMARC records point to Valimail-managed entries, replace them with records you control before you cancel, or mail from a forgotten sender may start failing. Several tools here, such as Mailhardener, expect you to edit DNS per domain yourself.

Last come the contract and the people. Find the Valimail renewal date and notice period in your own subscription, because the pricing page gave no terms. Then tell whoever approves sending services that the dashboard has changed, since sender discovery and change approval will look different. An Amplify logo setup needs its BIMI record and logo file moved to a new host or to your own server.

Does a European DMARC tool keep my reports out of US hands?

A European contracting party moves the legal relationship to your side of the Atlantic, and that is the real gain. DuzMarc and dmarced state EU hosting, and DMARCwise states it is made and hosted in the EU. For Mailhardener, URIports, DMARCTrust, DMARC Advisor, DMARC Dashboard, DMARCguard, DMARCeye and Red Sift, the pages we read do not name a hosting region, so ask before you sign.

Look at the processors too. DMARCeye's data processing agreement lists OpenAI Ireland Ltd for AI features, and DMARC Dashboard uses Mailtrap for transactional email. Neither is a reason to rule a tool out, but each belongs in your records of processing, which a reading of the privacy page alone will not give you.

Can a small company reach a reject policy without a managed service?

Yes, and most do. The path is the same with any tool: publish a monitoring policy, read the reports for a few weeks, fix every legitimate sender that fails, then move to quarantine and finally reject. The reports are the work, and a dashboard that names the sending service next to each IP makes it quicker.

The managed part of Valimail pays off when you have dozens of sending services or many domains and nobody to chase them. For one domain and a handful of senders, DMARCwise, DMARCTrust or dmarced give you the information at a lower price, and DMARC Advisor's management tier is the step up when you want approvals and access controls around DNS changes.

Which one to pick

If you used Valimail mainly for monitoring and a gradual move to reject, DMARCwise, dmarced or Mailhardener cover that for €15 to €20 a month under an EU contract. Choose DMARC Advisor if you also want managed DMARC and SPF with approvals, and Red Sift OnDMARC if you need dynamic SPF, SIEM streaming and SSO and can accept dollar prices.

For many client domains, DMARCeye's $4 per domain, DMARCwise's MSP pricing or DMARC Advisor's partner programme fit best. For a budget below €10 a month, DMARC Dashboard and URIports start lowest. Valimail remains stronger on managed enforcement, official Microsoft and Google integrations and the size of its enterprise customer list, so a large multi-sender estate should compare one of those against Red Sift first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Red Sift OnDMARC is the closest in breadth, with dynamic SPF, SIEM event streaming and SSO, though it prices in dollars. Mailhardener suits a business that wants a Dutch B.V. and public euro prices. DMARCwise is the cheapest way to start, with a free plan and €15 a month. DMARC Advisor offers a managed tier from a Dutch company. The right pick depends on your domain count and whether you want management or only reports.

Several tools here have a free plan, with different limits. DMARCwise covers 1 domain and 1,000 emails a month, DMARCTrust 1 domain and 50 reports a month, DMARCeye 1 domain and 5,000 emails, and DMARCguard 2 domains. Mailhardener, DMARC Advisor and DMARC Dashboard offer free plans for evaluation or personal domains only. A company domain on a free plan usually means the first two of those.

Not necessarily. BIMI needs a DMARC policy at enforcement plus a hosted logo file. Mailhardener and DMARC Advisor host BIMI assets, and Red Sift and DMARCguard list BIMI support. DMARCwise, dmarced and DuzMarc do not mention BIMI hosting on the pages we read, so with those you would host the logo yourself and keep the DNS record yourself.

The reporting address in your DMARC record decides it. Once you point the rua tag at the new tool, reports start arriving within a day or two, but a full picture of weekly senders takes two to four weeks of data. Keep the Valimail record active in parallel for a few weeks, then remove it, so you do not lose visibility during the switch.

DMARCeye prices per domain at $4 a month with a multi-tenant Agency plan, DMARCwise has pay-as-you-go pricing for MSPs and agencies, Mailhardener lists a multi-tenant package, and DMARC Advisor runs an MSP partner programme. Compare how each handles client access, because a per-domain price and a flat plan behave very differently at fifty domains.
