WEDOS Protection

WEDOS Protection is a CDN and DDoS protection service with a free plan for personal sites, served from EU points of presence.

The paid NoLimit plan costs €99 a year on annual billing, the equivalent of €8.25 a month, or €13 billed monthly, and WEDOS Protection offers a 15-day trial of its Advanced plan. Managed EU starts at €1,000 a month billed annually, so the WEDOS Protection price list runs from nothing to a managed contract, and the bottom of it needs no sales call.

WEDOS Protection caches from 120+ anycast points of presence worldwide, the largest published count in this category after Gcore's 180+, and adds DDoS protection at layers 3, 4 and 7 with a managed WAF.

Logs, configurations and analytics are stored in two data centres that WEDOS owns in the EU, so the record of which visitor requested what stays on the operator's own premises. WEDOS holds ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and the German BSI has certified WEDOS as a DDoS protection supplier, a BSI credential that the quote-only Link11 and Myra Security also carry.

The WEDOS company structure needs stating precisely, because the name on the group and the name in the contract differ.

WEDOS Group SA, the group holding, has had its headquarters in Luxembourg since 2025, while the WEDOS terms and conditions name WEDOS, a.s. in Hluboká nad Vltavou, Czech Republic, as the provider, and the WEDOS privacy policy names WEDOS Internet, a.s. as the data controller.

Every entity in that chain is in the EU and WEDOS states that it has no external investors, so the point to check is which company signs the contract rather than whether a non-European parent sits above it.
