Videas is built around a single idea: a video file should only need to be uploaded once, and everything that happens to it afterwards — encoding, subtitling, publishing, measuring — should work on that one copy rather than forcing an export-and-reimport cycle between separate tools.

The company, VIDEAS SAS, is registered in Frelinghien near Lille, France, and runs the platform on servers it owns and operates itself, in EU-based colocation facilities, which keeps hosting inside the EU without relying on a third-party cloud region.

That single-file approach spans nine products under one roof: Mediasbox for media management, Video Hosting for secure multi-quality HLS playback with domain restrictions and no third-party ads, Videas AI and Scribe for automatic subtitles, transcription and translation, a distraction-free Player, Channels for a fully branded video site with open, private or paid access, Pages for landing pages built around a video, Stream for public or private live streaming over RTMP, and Analytics for retention curves rather than a bare view count.

Every one of these is also reachable through a REST API with JavaScript and Python SDKs, so a developer can automate upload, processing, publishing and statistics without touching the interface at all.

Pricing runs on credits rather than seats: €5 free at signup plus another €5 free every month, non-cumulative, with no subscription required to start.

Beyond that, video storage costs €0.20 per hour, file storage €0.05 per GB, AI subtitles €0.10 per minute, and bandwidth €0.02 per GB after a 1TB monthly allowance that is free.

A branded Channel adds €10 a month plus a 15% commission on whatever it sells through SVOD, TVOD or free access, and a custom domain is a further €10 a month. The model rewards light, predictable usage and takes some estimating for anything heavier, which is what the site's own cost calculator is for.
