Detailed Review
Idura authenticates people with the electronic IDs their country already issued. A single integration is meant to cover several of them, so a Danish, Swedish or Dutch customer logs in with MitID, BankID or iDIN.
The company is Idura ApS at Gammel Kongevej 3E, Copenhagen, CVR 35142207. A banner on its site states that Criipto is now Idura, and the site claims over 700 businesses across Europe.
One integration, many eIDs
The supported list includes Danish MitID and MitID Erhverv, Norwegian and Swedish BankID, the Finnish Trust Network, Freja eID, Vipps MobilePay, Dutch iDIN, the German Personalausweis, UK OneID and Samleikin from the Faroe Islands.
New markets are added by switching on more eIDs, not by starting over, according to the homepage.
Beyond login
Products cover legally binding eID signatures, caller authentication for agents, address lookups and age verification. An ID Wallet is marked beta.
These suit onboarding and compliance flows more than a general consumer app.
Starting out
The site offers a free test account and links to pricing pages for Verify, Signatures and Age Verification.
The amounts did not load in a readable form, so price comparison with Clerk is not possible from the pages read.
Limitations to Consider
Idura only authenticates people who hold one of the supported eIDs, so it cannot replace email and password or social login for a global audience. It supplies no user table, profile management or session service of its own in the pages read. Pair it with Keycloak or Hanko if you also need accounts.
Who Should Use Idura
Nordic and Benelux services, banks and public-facing platforms that must verify citizens with a national eID.
