CloverDX

CloverDX takes the position that a European ETL vendor should never hold your data at all, and builds the platform around that: CloverDX is self-hosted only, running inside the customer's own AWS, Azure or Google Cloud account, or fully on-premise, with no CloverDX-operated service anywhere in the chain.

The product pairs a visual pipeline designer, CloverDX Designer, with CloverDX Server for scheduling, orchestration and monitoring, aimed at engineers building complex transformation logic rather than a business user dragging a handful of connectors together. A 45-day trial covers the full platform, cloud or on-premise.

The company traces back to the Czech ETL project CloverETL and today trades as CloverDX a.s. in Prague, which its privacy policy names as the GDPR data controller for EU and UK customers; the commercial licence for those customers is issued through the group's UK subsidiary, Javlin Ltd, while a separate CloverDX Inc. handles the US and the rest of the world.

Pricing is unit-based rather than usage-based — one DX Unit per Designer seat or per Production Server core, sized through an online calculator across Standard, Plus and Enhanced support tiers — so there is no public price list to compare against a quote.

The trade-off is the one every fully self-hosted tool carries: there is no managed alternative, so a team without infrastructure to run it does not get one from CloverDX.

No security certification is published on the pages checked, which is a gap against Weld's or Peliqan's audited ISO 27001. What CloverDX buys instead is a structural answer to the American-cloud question this category keeps raising — the data genuinely never leaves infrastructure the customer already controls, on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Docker, as the customer chooses.
